Not impressed with the food. The almond chicken was pretty good, the Crab Rangoon was soggy and the seafood bird nest should be taken off the menu because it tastes like dogs shit. It was full of fake crab which consists of nasty pieces of fish parts and bits that fell off the conveyor belt when making fish sticks. This place deserves the high ratings it's been getting. Their food is consistently a solid fallback plan for the nights you were too preoccupied to make plans for dinner. Their sesame chicken is very good alongside the fried rice. The egg drop soup is fantastic but like the other guy was saying, the quality of the soup tends to vary. My family seems to love the wanton soup as well, although it didn't do anything for me. And the pricing makes for a good deal when you'll probably have enough leftovers for a second meal when you're only spending 7 to 8 bucks. If you order a huge meal, I think either 40 or 50 bucks +, they give you a free 2 liter soda of your choosing. But I've heard something alarming about this restaurant, very alarming, which is why I like to rate anonymously. I was waiting on food so I got to talking with the cute girl manning the counter. We had some rapport going, clearly, because as I go to tip, she told me not to. She said... it was either the owner or the manager, someone above her paygrade, is taking 100% of those tips and the workers manning the floor and kitchen don't see a penny of it. For the record, I offered to just tip her and she refused, so I like to think there's something more to that claim than her feeling greedy. It's been a couple years since that conversation though so I dunno, maybe they changed their policy since then? After reading all the bad reviews I was very hesitant to order from here. With friends visiting who wanted Chinese takeout we gave it a try. The combos are a good value and the food was piping hot. After ordering a couple more times I can say the kitchen is somewhat inconsistent but still worth ordering from. I ordered hunan chicken in my first two orders. The first order was incredible. The second could have easily been a totally different menu item. The sauce seemed different but everything else was the same. All of my orders have been placed through their website so I'm assuming it was a different chef who prefers to make dishes his own way or an order mixup. The staff has been very friendly. I'm so disappointed. My husband and I use to drive every other weekend from Madison Heights just to get this food because it was amazing. Big portions, flavorful food, and free pop or appetizers when you order a certain amount. So what happened you asked, I ate a few bites of my favorite chicken and broccoli, thought nothing of the funny taste and went to bed. Woke up at 12 am and puked for 4 1/2 hours straight. My husband and I are constantly on the search for good chinese food in our area. Royal Wall has been around for a while but got a revamp a few years ago. I'm not sure if they've always done it, but they offer delivery within a 2 or 3 mile radius. The food is always consistent, portions are generous, prices are fair and staff is friendly. I think most of their business comes from pick up orders - I haven't ever really seen too many people dining inside the restaurant in the times I've gone. It works for me! The restaurant interior looks like the aftermath of 1945 attack on Hiroshima. Everything I noticed about the inside was tremendously bad. Just came here for lunch yesterday with my five year old based on the good Yelp reviews, and boy was I not disappointed! The decor is a little iffy, the place looks pretty worn down. But if you can get past that the food was great. I've been living in Brighton and between the Brighton/Howell/Ann Arbor area haven't found much good Chinese food. This place delivered what I was looking for. Everything was tasty (egg drop soup, General tsos chicken, and chicken lo mein). Not just yummy sauces but the actual meat was tasty as well. The lo mein was just like I grew up with, with the round yellow noodles that are pan fried and delish. Egg drop soup was not hot when it came out, but that was my only complaint. When comparing this to other Chinese food places around the same price range this is definitely one of the best! Their combination specials are around the same price as other places, but they give you a spring roll AND soup rather than just an option for either/or. I recommend their orange chicken. Obviously this is not gourmet Chinese food but for the price and location it's defiantly worth it. The portions are very generous and unlike most Asian resturaunts they aren't swimming in sauces. The hot and sour soup was good and my meal had a rather generous portion of vegetables as well. Typical Chinese resturaunt, but for the wixom area it's about the best your gonna get. I like this place. I usually get carry out but have dinned in on occasion. The atmosphere is very comfortable. When I do carry out they are always very fast, by the time I get there it's always ready and steaming hot. The egg drop soup is nice and not thin at all with plenty of egg white. Portions are generous. Spiciness is adjusted for the gringos so mild is very mild. Not the best place but just below the best, quick affordable and tasty, so four stars. read more

Let's see, served Lipton tea not Chinese because "we normally don't"; waitress stopped in the middle of our order to take a call & took their order; hot food served on ice cold plate; asked for plum sauce and said we already had some (ok we did, about 2 tablespoons for 3 egg rolls which only had cabbage in them); asked for utensils but another phone call so we sat waiting, waiting, waiting ...; only plate service not your typical bowls to pass ... no not happy with this place.
