Royal Home just finished cleaning my dryer and bathroom vents. We have a bird problem in our buildings where the birds create nests annually in the vents. We just had our dryer vents and bathroom exhaust vents cleaned this morning by Royal Air Ducts. David, their technician, showed up right on time. He meticulously went to work on the vents. We had a deceased bird in our dryer vent. He proceeded to clean that vent until it was clean as a whistle. He went to the bathroom vents next and what a mess we had. There were remnants of bird nests in those vents. He worked tirelessly to get those nests out. He was very diligent. Those vents are now as cleans as a whistle. He was very polite and professional and he brought the hose in through the basement window well so we didn't have to keep our front door open, which I appreciated. Did not got the job I was told on phone. Apparently, sales will sell you product which is not even part of the package. You find out when the work is getting done. And instead of making customer happy, person would blew you away saying this is what i have on paper. Didn't even bother consulting with the office to insure why is their discrepancy and how to resolve it. I would not recommend this company as it's a crook. I had good experience the first time and that's why i decided to go with this company again. But I was wrong, Person on the job was showing attitude and rude to customer. Stating he is the one who build the package so he know what is included. And i pick the basic package which only cleaned Return & Supply Truck line clean and didn't even touch any vents. So package i choose is for $399 - $100 coupon ($299) Silver Package is the basic package according to him even though it states "Unlimited Vents". Tech David was so rude that he wouldn't want to even listen to me and want to have any conversation. Instead kept saying, this is what i have on my paper and that's all i am going to do. Later he is calling me a stunt i played to get extra work done. Give me a break. After paying $299 i expect a better job and customer service. shouldn't get any business. read more

David showed up early (masked too) and walked me through what the process was and went to it. When done he explained somethings I can do to keep the ducts clean and when to change a filter. After he left, I had trouble getting the heat to kick back on and he came right back over and showed me where the pilot light is and how to check that its working. Very professional and caring! After checking out several companies for reliability, I narrowed my search to price, and Royal was the low bidder. Jay and his assistant David were prompt, friendly, professional, and very thorough. They laid out furniture moving pads to protect my Pergo floors from scratches, took extra care to remove pictures from walls where the air ducts were, and explained their procedure for cleaning the ducts. They even had furnace filters available, and they replaced those for me too. It took them a little more than three hours to do their job. I could immediately tell the difference in the air quality in the house. I'm very pleased with their work, would highly recommend them, and would definitely use them again. read more

Bought a groupon package and when I called in to schedule it they told me it was a horrible service and to upgrade to the top package. They would not apply the purchased package to the upgrade, so I'd be losing the $80 savings from the package. And if I had stuck with the groupon package, they would have charged $80 travel fee for being outside of 15 miles. They are running a groupon scam and we did get our money back from groupon. However when I declined the service, the owner resorted to harassment from name calling, sexist belittling, and even went as far as to have the sales person, Lisa, go to my business page to leave a 1 star review this morning. So there's many fundamental inaccuracies in the owner's response: 1. Shifting blame on a "subcontractor." I mentioned I spoke to a David in my original review from two years ago. IS YOUR NAME NOT DAVID? We did communicate and you had ZERO interest in even listening to what I had to say. 2. Get a quote on what it costs to fill the entire system with R12 refrigerant. The stuff's not cheap. I even faxed you the invoice from the REAL, CERTIFIED HVAC contractor. 3. This part was never addressed: The direct verbal threat to me and my family when David had no rebuttal to my complaints. His exact words were "I don't care, sue me. I know where you live." Really tough guy? This is how you handle customer complaints? Newsflash: IT'S 2016, not the dark ages. 4. As far as I'm concerned, you can make it right by writing a check for $540. I still have the invoice from the LICENSED, BONDED, and CERTIFIED contractor. It even has his EPA number on it. I'd be happy to send you another copy if you agree to the reimbursement. read more

Working with Royal Air Duct was a breath of fresh air! They were the only company where I could actually speak with a person to add insulation to my attic. Throughout the process they were very professional. They let me know what to expect and sent someone out to take a look at my attic before providing an estimate. They let me know that it would take a little over a week to get the insulation and we scheduled a date for the installation. The installers came exactly when they said they would. The technicians were awesome. So why a one star? The owner. On the day of my scheduled cleaning, the techs were 20 minutes late. Not a big deal, it happens. I called just to get an update on the arrival. The owner, answered and when I asked the simple question on arrival, he flew off the handle. He started making fun of the fact that I was calling and that his crew will not be out to clean my condo unit today. He also screamed that he could not check the computer to see what went wrong or reschedule a new appointment since the entire building had lost power, but somehow the office phones were still working. Since this was pre-paid I asked for a reimbursement and that made him very angry. I forgot what was said exactly but it was something along the lines of "I can't help you, tough luck" Sadly our condo association signed a contract with this company and I have to work with them but if I were a home owner, pay the extra $10-15 to go with another company. I have yet to get an apology from the owner. They did come out after I complained to the association about it and the techs were great. 5 out of 5 for the techs! It sounds like another reviewer and I had almost the same experience over the phone. read more

This is a family owned business. I cannot believe these people actually have jobs that they have to deal with customers. They are the most crass, uneducated, boorish individuals that I have had the displeasure to meet. The person cleaning my home gave me so much grief and attitude that I told him to leave. The person following up with me after the event seemed nice at first until, for no reason, he said he could call the police on me if I didn't pay my bill (as if there was ever any question that I would pay my bill). worst experience with this company. First: please read carefully their package description, I ordered silver package for $250, expecting they clean every ducts, but wait, for silver package, they do not clean supply vent, just vacuum them; so i have to upgrade to gold package which cost $100 more to brush clean supply vent. for other company, if they clean return vent and supply vent, cost just about $200, for royal they charge $150 more. I think I was wrong for not understanding the difference of vacuum supply and clean supply vent. Second, they said they will inspect furnace, air conditioner etc.. but do not believe them, they won't do anything. My air conditioner was down just one week after their inspection. If they had done their job, they would have told me my air conditioner had problems. Third, the worst thing I had this company is when they cleaning my vent, somehow they broke one vent connecting to air conditioner, cause cold air leak out before reach inside house. I called them ask to fix that broken vent, they never came back to fix it. The worst dust clean company I ever had. read more

Terrible service. Had cleaning services upgraded so they threw in a free dryer service that ended up getting the dryer vent clogged. When I called them to come out they gave me the run around. Had it scheduled twice for them to come out they never did. Have been tryna to get them to honor their services for a month. Today called to reach out because they didn't show, ROBERT the scheduler who had scheduled the work said he had handed it off to TIM. Tim was the person who I was trying to get a hold of. After telling them that I was tired of dealing with this and I needed this fixed asap, he said to put big boy pants on and to call Tim. And when I said I have tried and that even when Robert had sent him a message on their internal message system and I still hadn't heard from him so if I hadn't heard from him I'd call to dispute the charges he told me to go fuck my self while he was on the speaker in my car in front of my brother, niece and nephew. Royal was great for my duct cleaning. I chose the platinum package due to my allergies and having issues since moving in. Royal knew exactly what they were doing. Rich was great and friendly. He showed me what he was doing and even showed me the junk he pulled out of my vents. I was so happy I had the service done with Royal considering bad stories I've heard of other companies scamming you and asking for more $$ on the spot. Royal has great pricing and they don't charge you more than they quote! Rich didn't even try to upsell me at all. I'd highly recommend them and will use them again in the future! Their techs came out to clean out our dryer vent. They didn't even have a ladder to get up to the attic. Its not like it takes a huge 50 foot ladder. It only requires a 8 footer. I let them use mine. After about 7 minutes, they claimed they were done and started packing up and leaving. When I went outside, there were clumps of lint hanging from the flaps of the exhaust hose. When I pointed this out to their techs, they said they can clean it out from the outside but they didn't have... (you guessed it): a LADDER! I ended up letting them use my 25 footer to get up to where the lint had to be cleaned out. Again, 5 minutes later they were "done." Its easy for one to see the reason for my high level of skepticism on the quality of the job after the series of events that I described. read more

Our experience with Royal Air Duct Cleaning was great from the office's customer service to the actual air duct cleaning services. Customer service was very responsive and worked with me to schedule a date that worked for us. They charge by the furnace (we have 3) and they gave us a deal on one furnace because it only served a 3 rooms. David was on time and worked tirelessly in the rain for a full day on a Saturday, as it appeared our ducts had never been cleaned. Poor Customer Service. I purchased a Groupon AFTER I called and scheduled an appointment with them (to make sure there were no surprise!). They showed up on time. They seemed very professional and knowledgeable and instantly said they could not complete the job since it was on the 4th floor and they didnt have the right material to do it--they would have to come back with a portable machine to complete the job. However, i got a call from Jay, the owner, 15 mn later saying that he would lose money if he were to do the job since he didnt want to send the portable machine to a Groupon deal (basically that it wasnt worth it for him). Fortunately, Groupon was kind enough to reimburse my money. But i was highly disappointed with the attitude of the person on the phone as well as how poorly it was handled --he basically cut me short and almost hung up on me. read more

STARTED OUR HOUSE ON FIRE!! What a nightmare we have been though with this company. They came out and "cleaned" our ducts only to have them start our home on fire with their gas powered vacuum. They placed the vacuum too closed to the side of the house and the heat of the exhaust resulted in their hose catching on fire which started to burn the outside wall of the house. There was only one tech doing the job so there was no one outside monitoring the device in the event that something like this could happen. The outcome of them cutting corners was having my entire house filled with smoke, my basement filled with soot, a 5'x8' section of exterior wall being ripped open by the fire department and 120 hours of my time dealing with smoke remediation and contractors coming in to do repairs. They put the lives of my kids and pets at risk. We were not reimbursed for our insurance deductible or the down payment for the work. While re-cleaning the ducts we discovered all kinds of dust and debris left in the ducts that Royal was supposed to have cleaned out.
