I've driven by this spot various time during work and never thought twice about, but decided to do date night here and we actually had a good time there drinks were not watered down and appetizers were actually good! The servers were great themselves my only complaint is they were understaffed and service was a little slow for the amount of customers present that night. Music was good and people were just in there own lane nobody was disrespectful or any drama. Overall good place to chill and have good drinks! read more

Slightly above average I'd say. 3.75 stars honestly. That's a fair rating for what it is. The place is huge, and might be just a tad understaffed, especially when it's busy. But with that said, the people who work there are very polite, friendly and very accommodating... at least they were to us. Nothing over the top that makes you just want to go there, but it's good. They also serve food and have a happy hour menu, BUT for all my fellow vegans... hopefully with a little luck, they'll have something to serve us soon. So, vegans and vegetarians, do not come hungry, go thirsty. The 2 outside patios are super big, and very friendly to bikers for what that's worth. Could use some music out there on those patios I think. There's even a pool table, and I believe they'll be doing live music as well. So, that's always a bonus. Plenty of street parking too. Came to Roxanne's for happy hour but the server informed us that they didn't have happy hour. So I was a little confused since there menu dose mentioned "happy hour" Regardless the have delicious drinks. I had a Paloma and I had one of their appetizers. It was a nice day somewhat busy. Great spot! I tried their pupusa burger. It was good. I posted it on my IG story, and I was asked by a bunch of people where did I get that burger. I ask had their butterfly tea. Also tasted great. My bill was $20 for the burger which came with fries and the tea. The outdoor seating area was nice. Wooden seats and tables open area. Our waitress was nice. read more

Once upon a time, a small group of us fell happily into Roxanne's. We were excited to have a local place to have happy hour and cocktails. This is a simple place- which is nice. Good people. Good drinks. Good atmosphere. The real gem is the speakeasy in the back (separate reservations required online). Not a bad place to meet up. The prices are decent and the fare is fair. My girlfriend Mado told me about this place. She's having her birthday party there tomorrow. We can't make the party but wanted to check it out. I ordered to go a Quesadilla Asada that smelled so good that my husband asked me for a slice before we got home. We had eaten it before we realized the two sauces to put on it were still in the bag. Made a spontaneous trip to Long Beach and ended up at Roxanne's on a Friday night. Roxanne's looks so unassuming from the exterior, but the interior is such an adventure! Upon arrival, we headed straight to Willie's Tin Shop in the back (which is a metal shop turned distillery). They distill their own vodka, whiskey, and gin and offer tastings. We tried the Dirty Prospector whiskey and grabbed a few bottles to take home (definitely check it out). After a whiskey flight, we went inside Roxanne's to eat some food. They have a large outdoor seating area with heaters and cool vintage cars. We decided to sit inside (we are weak cold Californians). I didn't really have any expectations, but the food was really good and very reasonably priced. Their service was quick (even though they only had 1 bartender working that night). The bartender was hustling - she was not only taking our orders and serving us, but she was making drinks too. Our drinks were stiff, food was delicious, and the ambiance was so fun. We ordered their chicken sandwich, chips & salsa, wings, and mango habanero wrap. This is really random, but I really enjoyed the chips. You can tell they are homemade and not store bought. After we finished up our dinner, we headed to the back outdoors area. Okay, this is the first reason why I said Roxanne's looks unassuming. From the street, it looks like any old school diner...until you go inside. Their back outdoors area leads into a tiki bar. Yes, a tiki bar! Tiki bars are my absolute favorite kinds of bars so I was especially excited for this. It really does feel like you are transported to another bar. Their drinks were delicious - they have a menu or you can order any drink you want. They have super cute seating with heaters as well. After we finished up our tiki drinks, we headed back inside. They have a pool table and near the pool table is an old school phone booth. Now, this is the second reason why I said Roxanne's looks unassuming. If you enter into this phone booth, it leads you into a speakeasy called The Exhibition Room. It is such a cool speakeasy and has a totally different vibe. Honestly, I could spend hours and hours at Roxanne's...it's basically like bar hopping but at one bar. Our entire experience was magical and we had a great night. We had plans to go to 2nd Street afterwards, but spent so long at Roxanne's that we decided to just stay there until bedtime. I'll definitely be back! read more

My haven during COVID-19 due to the ample space in the parking lot that has been created into an open bar. Everyone is friendly, kind and generous during my visits. You walk in through the front door and then you are directed to the parking lot which has seating areas available. Food is quite delicious which you must order to have cocktails. No worries...you'll enjoy thee appetizers if you're not too hungry. Truly an enjoyable venue! read more

My best friend and I came for the pupusa hamburger but stayed for the carne asada pupusa tacos. We also ordered yucca & chicharrón and order of zucchinis. The food was delicious, and the bartender, Jose, made us some refreshing margaritas. Construction was going on in the main part of the restaurant, but it didn't bother us from the bar. We'll return soon to try the rest of the menu and the other drinks Jose promised to make for us. They also make their alcohol, so we'll try that next time. read more

I love the Latin vibe and food selection at Roxanne's we came at a very busy night and there was only one server taking care of the entire patio, Britney. Britney worked non-stop giving each table ample attention. She was taking orders, food running, and drink running in a timely manner. Her performance was outstanding. Didn't even need to ask for refills on our drinks. Please treat her a shift meal on our behalf. The pupusa burger is a unique Latin twist on your standard American styled burger as the buns are made of corn flour giving it an "arepa" like texture. The slaw that's embedded with the burger also brings a tangy touch to dinner. That will be my recommendation to the tellers out there. While the patio is nice, spacious, and decorative, there were definitely not enough heat lamps to cover each table. I also wish they had the string lights lit by sun down so we didn't have to ask them to turn them on while they're busy. We were a little bit chilly but enjoyed our experience nonetheless less. read more

I was looking for a restaurant to have a small gathering with friends. Roxanne's came to mind because it's in my neighborhood. It didn't really give me a restaurant vibe but had more like a bar atmosphere. Not many seating options inside just a few uncomfortable bar tables and sitting outside in the cold was a no for us. Also, we ordered a few things on the menu that we thought were pricey and just average. As far as the service for the restaurant, our waitress was great. read more

Waitress was drinking with a group of girls before we arrived. I had reserved a spot for a birthday party, but when we arrived, it was an absolute shit show. Our entire party was confused why the waitress was being rude and aggressive. Guess she really wanted that deposit we put down! Big disappointment, we were looking forward to this place. read more

Fun bar to hang out and have drinks. Been coming here for a while now. Bartenders are always great even when it's busy. Last time I came one of the bartenders decided to charge me for extra drinks. We argued at the end of the night but then decided not to make a rush about it. Be aware of what you order and definitely check your receipt after. Pay with cash if you have to but definitely be aware. read more

Went to this place for drinks with some friends last Saturday. I ordered three drinks totaling $35 and some change and left a cash tip. 3 days later, I get a notification from my credit company informing me that I left 100% tip. I called and spoke with a manager to whom I explain the situation. She Was very dismissive and told me that if I didn't have a copy of my receipt they couldn't do anything. No apology or attempt to rectify the situation. Beware... if you go to this place, make sure that you keep your receipt in case you needed to dispute anything. read more

And it somehow gets worse -- at 1:35 AM they were literally kicking people out of the restroom. We weren't even allowed to finish or wash our hands before being rushed out. That's not just rude, it's straight up unhygienic and disrespectful. Overall, completely overhyped, disorganized, and not worth the wait at all. Don't fall for the line -- it's fake.

Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it

The flavor wasn't as strong as I was hoping for. And the branzino was also great was smaller than I was expecting but it tasted great with lemon. The drink oh la la was so refreshing with fresh watermelon. Leo our server was amazing very attentive and the staff also great would definitely come back.

And this one time I was there alone with another, no other patrons just staff members walking around from time to time. We stole the moment to dance under the Long Beach sky, just the two of us as a famous Christina Perrio song gently wafted in the night breeze. At another separate time, I was at the Los Angeles County Fair with another. We rode the ferris wheel at such a time where our gondola stopped at the top just as the sun set. The moment was nothing but beautiful and life affirming because the sinking of the sun's light was like a real life video of nature happening in front of us, unburdened by static or data stall. We witnessed nature resting, and I feel, that it was a kin to a beauty falling into a gentle sleep. These two instances have a common factor: momentary bliss arrived to bless an experience because the environment supported discovery of unplanned joy. That is what I associate with the Wicked Wolf, and this time the joy arrived eventually because when my Mom and I arrived to their high tea on Mother's Day the experienced seem like it would land nowhere good. Truth be told, my mom and I arrived 15 minutes early and there was no host in the stand and the place was empty except for a foursome. The energy felt lacked luster. One or two minutes after, the bartender informed us that we were early and the host would come soon. We sat in an available sofa for two, a loveseat persay. This gave us an opportunity to admire the decor that transported us to a storybook forest where good fairies reside, not like swamp creatures and trolls with malevolent fangs and dragon green eyes. I especially loved the large roses in the ceiling. To set the stage, the black ceiling had vines hanging from it, and the few roses were pops of crimson red displayed above.These were wonderful accents to the central mural of the joint that invited the viewer within deeper into the fairy forest where a light shone on an unseen meadow. The place had the decorations and general environment to be a lavender fairy's lounge, but, it did not fully work as a team room. For instance, my mom and I were sat in another lover's couch. Initially, I did not want to sit here because we were given circular tray sets. So imagine being told to sit in a couch, and each of us would get a tv tray. So I was left to wonder if we were going to be served tea in Belle's living room or if were going to watch a flick as we ate pollo loco bowl? But then as I settled into the tranquility of the moment, saw more people come and find their seat or couch, and as the serviced picked-up I realized that this was high tea in a place that had taken disjointed beauty and tackied it together for a patched tea experience that worked well. It was like the experienced was blessed and allowed by the same spirit that brought forth Raggedy Ann. For instance, the pictures show these pretty violet petaled tea cups and matching plates. This pairing was dainty and perfect for a tea party happening under pink veils. But then the sugar cubes came in a hedgehog shaped holder which was just as precious as seeing a piglet in a carriage built for one. Then the cream carrier was in the shape of a milk carton. I wondered where the missing child portrait was? The pastry plate was in the shape of a tropical flower like the ones scattered all over Hawaii. It belonged in a beautiful lei. Each of these elements was cute in its own delicate and whimsical way but together they made an eclectic hodgepodge, not a coherent tea set. And in this asymmetry laid the glitter of their error. The host also brought these clip on dainty hats that were perfect touches for make believe tea party. He carried them around in their original packing, including the box they came in. Not exactly the tailor of the queen, offering hats to the villagers as a gift from her to them, but still the effort magnified the moment. The tea food was the worst stumble that Red took as she was being chased by the Wicked Wolf. To begin with the end analysis, the tea offerings in general were standard, and not bites fit for a princess and her wedding court. For instance, the cream cheese and cucumber sandwich was just that---- a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. I detected no effort to make it more than that. The blueberry scone was solid, nothing to skip through a meadow about. But once you added the jam of the table to the scone it was much easier to enjoy. I also had a madeline that was fluffy in the center but could have been purchased maybe at Costco. I had a Macaron and same thing, delicious but I have had something similar before and I suspected that it did not come from a place afloat with Parisian affairs. The best part of the tiers was this puff like thing that had like a Concha texture and design at the top. It was a sweet filled bite that was fit for a man made of muffin.

That is too much money to spend, to not be able to hear each other. We had to hurry out because she was getting frustrated.
