I came here just to get some oysters and I was happy! The waiter was kind enough to suggest which oysters to get. They were all perfect. I then decided on the whole fish which was sea bass. It was really good, just too many bones to pick through. I loved the pistachios and harissa combination with the sea bass We got here about 5:45 and got a table quick on the heated patio. Everything we ordered tonight was perfect. We were here for a birthday celebration and the service was top notch. The variety of oysters was amazing at least ten to choose from (we cut ourselves off at 7). The oyster lettuce cups were perfectly made, I've never tried anything like it! The lobster roll was one of the best I've ever had. Growing up going to Cape Cod my whole life I've had a lot of lobster rolls. The roll was perfectly toasted and the meat was cooked to perfection. I'm not sure if they use some kind of magic butter, but I will definitely be returning. Our server Rodrigo had a cake with a candle in it singing happy birthday with us as soon as one of the other staff members cleared the table. I have been trying to pen down my thoughts about Row 34 for some time now. It is sea-riously the best upscale restaurant in the city for seafood. When friends and family visit I always bring them here and time and time again it never disappoints. It is no sea-cret that the oysters shine here. Do not leave without ordering some oysters. The fried oysters are great but my favorite are the raw oysters. For a while I stayed away from consuming raw oysters but I credit my re-found love for oysters to Row 34. They are professionals. The raw oyster quality is unmatched here and fear not for poorly shucked oysters because you won't find that here. As for the selection of oysters- you really can't go wrong with any of them. But the signature Row 34 oysters from Duxbury are my weakness. While Row 34 is considered a more upscale seafood establishment, the decor and ambiance inside is laid back and chill-especially at the Seaport location. Their other location in Burlington would be more suitable for bigger "fancier" functions. This hasn't stopped me from enjoying multiple special occasions and bringing visiting family and friends to this location though. The service here feels expensive and I have been so pleased every single time I have dined here by the thoughtfulness and attentiveness of the staff. I have had my meal coursed without asking (so that I can slowly eat each dish fresh at the same time being able to enjoy the conversations in my party); my orders split into the perfect individual serving for my party (because our server knew we were going to share), a vase of water brought out for my surprise flowers from my date, and even the heat turned down because we were feeling hot. All this on top of kind, friendly attitude from the staff makes Row 34 top tier! read more

He was friendly and attentive throughout, but after dinner when my mom realized she had lost her parking ticket when we reached our garage, we called and he rescued the ticket from the trash. While visiting here for the week to attend a leadership development program nearby, our party of 6 came in on a Wednesday evening. The "Board" of variety smoked and cured fish (smoked salmon, scallops, and fish pate) 2. Calamari - perfectly prepared 3. Honey roll bread - warm and buttery in a cast iron skillet 4. Raw Oysters - selected 10 oysters as recommended by our server Main Dishes: 1. Lobster Pasta - delicious. So much so that we had multiple people order it 2. Jonah Crab Rigatoni - fresh and delicious 3. Crispy whole fish of the day - HUGE! Large enough for multiple people to share if you wanted. 4. Seafood Bouillabaisse - hearty and full of seafood (clams, fish, mussels, and shrimp) and diced potatoes Service was really the highlight! We had just the most lovely server. I got there ahead of the rest of my party - there were lots of empty tables but they wouldn't allow me to sit at the dining tables. The bar was full so i literally just had to stand around there. Let me start by saying we were fortunate enough to sit at the bar and have Nick as our bartender. This is an excellent restaurant and bar with creative seafood dishes. Tonight we had some oysters and selections from the raw bar. Nick recommended the roasted oysters which were excellent and full of flavor. We attended a convention nearby and found row 34 when looking for a quick place to eat for lunch. It was so good we actually went back twice! The first time, we didn't make a reservation, but still were able to sit at the bar fairly quickly. The second time we use our online reservation system and had a table with no wait. Food was fresh and the fish tacos were amazing. They are on the smaller side, so if you're hungry, you may want to consider ordering a smaller appetizer to go with it. Our service was amazing! My mom has celiac and our server was very attentive and kept checking with the kitchen about what she could and couldn't eat. She ended up getting a lobster roll on a gluten free bun and I had some of it too - it was delicious! The lobster itself had a lot of butter on it and the GF bun was honestly really good. Had heard a lot of things about this spot, and it lived up to the hype!! Came with friends and made a reservation for 4 people on a Saturday for dinner. The interior is huge and there's a ton of space inside. It's a bit of a rustic modern vibe, which I loved. To drink, we tried the Silk Chiffon and the Blueberry Corn Cobbler. I absolutely loved the Silk Chiffon, but the Blueberry Corn Cobbler wasn't quite what I was expecting. The flavor was there but it was definitely overpowered by the tequila. As for food, we got Oysters and Tuna Tartare to start. They were both were fresh and delicious. For mains, I tried the Warm Buttered Lobster Roll and the Gulf Shrimp Spaghetti. The lobster roll was hands down one of the best I've ever had. It is pricey, but the lobster is so juicy, meaty, and they did not skimp out on the portion. The spaghetti was also quite good. It was a rather small entree, but it came with a generous amount of shrimp. We finished off with their Chocolate Chip Cookie, which was very decent. The oyster po'boy sandwich was a good choice. It was loaded with oysters and the remoulade was not overpowering, allowing for the oyster flavor to come through. Chips and cold slaw accompany the sandwich. The chips appear house-made and were crunchy and thick. The clam chowder was thick and creamy, and the pieces of bacon were substantial. My bowl didn't seem to have much clams, and when some were discovered, they mostly were shredded pieces. The service is good, no extensive waits. It's a loud environment in the inside dining area. Really, really, really good seafood lover's experience. Took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. If you love seafood and you're in Boston, I say you gotta come here and give it a try. This is one of those places where every single thing was freaking delicious. We went all out and ordered way too much food. If you eat oysters in any capacity, you gotta try the fried oyster sliders. They're not huge but for the price they're a wicked deal and they're insanely delicious, I honestly could have just filled up on like 10 of these things. Served in a nice soft brioche-style bun with fresh veggies and a nice sauce, the crispy battered oyster really shines through these. The raw bar offerings were splendid. They have a nice wide variety of different oysters from all around and they clearly have a passion for them as they have a whole recommended system for eating them, like what fixings to put on with what, etc. They even recommended getting certain beers as nice palate cleansers between oyster varieties to really maximize the experience - and I recommend you trust them since we had an amazing time. The oysters were all insanely fresh and cold, and had absolutely zero grit to them. The cherry stone clams were also insanely succulent and delicious. The tuna tartare was also a star of the show, absolutely delicious and fresh out of this world, with zero fishiness. The mussels were probably my favorite thing. Save some bread for this delicious sauce because you'll want to mop it all up and shove it down your gullet. Mussels were cooked perfectly. Finally we got a lobster roll (we got the mayo kind, which they recommended) and it was the star of the show. It was chock full of juicy lobster meat and they did not skimp on this one. Fried were delicious and crispy as well. To top it off, our cocktails were phenomenal! The atmosphere was really interesting and lively - nice decor but really tall and spacious. Not white table clothy or bougie. Wear a T shirt, wear a button down and slacks, it seems the vibe here was nice-casual. We couldn't have had such a nice time without the help of our server who walked us through their menu. We listened to him every step of the way and we were not led astray. Amazing! This was our favorite restaurant on our 5 day visit to Boston. It's in a fantastic location and as the weather was gorgeous, we decided to sit in the patio area. We began with a dozen mixed oysters that our server was kind enough to choose for us. Being born and bred in New Orleans, we weren't familiar with any of the Northeast varieties. He definitely got it right, and his choices were perfect! Salty, fresh, and absolutely no shells. We decided to split a cup of clam chowder and a lobster roll. Both were fantastic. The chowder was rich and had just the right ratio of sweet, tender clams and potatoes. The lobster roll was full of flavor. From the roll itself that was toasted and buttery to the creamy and bright lobster salad, the thinly sliced potato chips, and the tangy slaw, it was an amazing plate of food. We also shared the tuna crudo, which was unbelievable. And I can't forget my cocktail. I can't remember what it was called, but I loved it. I am from CA and extremely picky when it comes to oysters, an old colleague who lives in Boston recommended this place and let me tell you.... Oysters did not disappoint! The interior looks really sharp. High ceilings, open concept, which depending if you like noise might be too loud for some people. Dimmed lighting too. After a disappointing lobster roll earlier in the day, I wanted to redeem myself by having one here. Of course, since this was dinner with my family, we ordered a few more items, including smoked scallops, griddled crab cake, and some Maine-based raw oysters. Overall I was satisfied with all the dishes. Given the high standards for seafood in New England, I believe this place is great for places I've tried in Boston...but I agree with folks who say the best seafood is closer to Maine. While on the somewhat smaller side, I really enjoyed their warm buttered roll which was full of fresh lobster pieces and had a great crispy yet soft bread. Also tried out their oyster slider, which had a great slightly spicy and creamy sauce that cut the oiliness of the fried oyster well, but I thought that a fluffier bread would have balanced it out better than their denser, more biscuit like one. Stayed in Seaport and knew nothing of Row 34. My colleagues and I just happened to walk past it looking for a spot to eat. We were exhausted from a day of travel and put our names down. It was a one hour wait on a Tuesday, so we thought it must be good. We left to Pink Taco for a few drinks before heading back in once we got the text. We ordered multiple rounds of oysters because they were so delicious. One of my colleagues had never had caviar before, so I added caviar onto the three best oysters that we had (Row 34). I ordered the salmon crudo as an appetizer and it was decent, I probably would try something else next time. It was nothing special. However, the roasted half chicken was to DIE for! The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. I loved the olives with the tomato and polenta, it was a great well rounded dish. I would definitely order it again. We initially sat on their patio which has no charm and every few minutes were punctuated with dump trucks and loud construction noise. So do yourself a favor and just sit inside. For dinner, whole fish (black sea bass), swordfish with pasta, and crab cakes which they made into an entree size. Great service and food. I wish they had more dessert choices.
