    Comfortable waiting area.

I've been coming here for Years with my family. I've never had a long wait time. Great front desk staff and hygienist that are skilled and friendly. Dr Roup is caring and has always made any procedure as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend this clinic.

She is so comforting, brilliant and a master of her profession. She took the time to explain what was going on with my tooth and why it was necessary to retreat my root canal. Immediately upon reviewing my CBCT image she saw that the original dentist missed a canal. (Original one was done 20+ years ago, when the technology was not near advanced as it is today.) She explained this is more common than you would think because these canals are so tiny and can branch off. Root canals are often why people dread the dentist. I can honestly say that this was done with zero discomfort. She was able to remove the old material, locate and clean the extra canal and complete the procedure within an hour. So methodical, precise and efficient. I honestly wish there were more practitioners like her out there! Fabulous work. Thank YOU!

I went in on a Friday and was seen for my root canal on a wendseday the next week. I was seen by Dr. Meenal McNary D.D.S. she was great... very informative and walk you through everything that she will be doing for your teeth. I felt like I was in good hands. Being that this was first root canal ever. I had a Crack in my tooth and she was still able to safe the tooth instead of pulling it. Would highly recommend this Dr. The main reason I did not give all stars is. Be prepared for a sticker shock on what needs to get done. As this place is completely out of network with insurances. They do there best to work with insurance but more than 70% comes out of pocket. My tooth was in bad shape and seeing how I was reffered there. I felt like I could not go anywhere else. I no we have choice but with life happening and time which who has that now days. I choose to go here.

The day before, they send u a code to check in online and fill out your insurance information. I get the code, then go to their portal to complete my paperwork. When I put in the code, it's for another patient!!! I see all this persons personal info and procedures getting done, the payments they have made etc!! Upon arriving I tell the receptionist, and she completely blows over it even speaking over me.. I'm thinking what in the hell... but I was already there and wanted to just get it done. After my appointment, I'm checking out and they see I haven't filled out the paperwork so I cant check out yet. I remind them, I initially told them that when I got there and they blew it over and ALSO YOU SENT ME SOMEONE ELSES CODE WITH ALL THEIR INFO (x2)!! Again they blow it off, oh sorry we are just having an off morning usually we are more organized. (Again, I'm turned off by this answer!) I'm like okayyy, what ever just send me my code and I leave. No code was sent, and only code I have is for someone else :/. Fast forward to my next appointment like 2 weeks later, I left a voicemail to reschedule because I developed a cold over the weekend. They called me back that Monday and left a voicemail saying it's no problem to reschedule just give them a call back when I can. I call them back to reschedule and some buffoon answers and tells me that since I was a no call no show (HUH?) that she can only reschedule me once. If I miss another appointment, I will have to find somewhere else to go. I said excuse me, I left a voicemail. And someone called back to say that it was no problem. I said you know what, you have a nice day and promptly hung up because whatttt?? I can literally go ANYWHERE ELSE DF, so I did! Idk what you guys have going on, but I want no parts of it! And I sent in the HIPPA violation for the other patient whose information you shared illegally without their consent. Hope it finds you well

I…read morewas extremely nervous and honestly pretty upset because I had been dealing with pain and complications for almost a year. I'll even admit I walked in with a bit of an attitude -- I was frustrated, in pain, and had already spent a lot of money trying to fix the issue. From the moment I arrived, the Oakwood staff immediately put me at ease. Everyone was professional, kind, and incredibly accommodating. They were knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to my concerns. Dr. Lin performed a full exam and asked detailed questions about how the previous dentist had completed the procedure. We both came to the conclusion that the previous dentist likely didn't use a safety cover (rubber dam), which allowed an infection to develop under the tooth. What impressed me the most was how thorough Dr. Lin was. The practice has a 3D X-ray machine that my insurance didn't cover, but instead of retreating the tooth blindly, Dr. Lin offered to waive the fee so he could get a clear and accurate picture of the infection area before moving forward. On the day of the procedure, everything was on time and the treatment was done comfortably with no pain. As I walked out of the building, I told my husband I could already feel the pain starting to decrease. By the very next day I was partially eating on that side, and within four days the pain I had been dealing with for almost a year was completely gone. I am incredibly grateful and so thankful for the Oakwood team and Dr. Lin. If you're nervous about dental work or dealing with complications from another dentist, I highly recommend them.

I called the office and explained and was told the doctor was out of the office and someone would call back. A few hours later, due to the pain, I called again and was told he had just responded and sent in a prescription for a steroid. While I was taking the medication, the pain was tolerable but I was also alternating Tylenol and Advil around the clock. I again called Oakwood Endodontics for some advice/help but did not get immediate help but I was able to get into my amazing dentist instead. While there, my dentist noticed something on the X-ray and said I would need to return to Dr. Bjarnason as it looked like one canal had been completely missed. While I was sitting in the dentist's chair, Oakwood staff called back and told me to wait it out another two weeks. I told them that was not going to be possible due to the amount of pain I was in. Luckily, my dentist called and was able to get me an appointment. Once back at Oakwood, I explained how even drinking room temperature water was extremely painful. My concerns were dismissed as a "flare up" even though it had now been two weeks since the actual procedure. I called my dentist office back, as I knew this was not a normal pain from getting over a root canal, and was able to get a referral for another endodontist. Two other endodontists easily saw the missed canal upon examinations. Finally, mid-July, I was able to get it fixed and end the pain I had all summer long. As a teacher, we try to stuff all the medical appointments into our summer break. I started this soon after school was out and had my final appointment to fix the filling today, the week before school starts. For the record, if you have to have a root canal fixed right after insurance pays for it, the second go-round will NOT be covered by your insurance.

This practice is disorganized, lacking compassion, unprofessional and uncaring. The shining star and exception to this review is Paloma, who was the dental assistant during my procedure. She was confident, calm and seems to be the only person at this office who could see patients as individuals with their own needs and not just names on a screen. A couple of things that have influenced my desire to leave a review for this business: 1. During my consultation, they left the practice calendar of all patients to be seen that week and their complaints viewable to me. I could see my name, when the doctor had his calendar blocked for personal appointments and all the other people to be treated. This seems like a massive violation of patient privacy to me. 2. During my wait before my appointment, I overheard office staff talk about screening calls of patients they didn't feel like talking to. During the numbing process, I told the doctor I almost always needed more local anesthetic than the first round provides and he said that was ok and he would do 2 rounds. When he went to do the second round, I had put my headphones in but still overheard him say that I was already numb and didn't even feel the second pass at local anesthetic. I did feel it and let him know that; his response "well its good we did the second round then." The example of it being ok to talk about patients when you think they can't hear you is being set from the top down. 3. I was told that I had to pay for my procedure at the time of service. No one took payment ahead of service, and when I came out from my procedure, everyone in the office staff had gone home (the practice was still open). I then received several calls, voicemails and an email requesting payment ASAP; on one voicemail they made a comment about calling my regular dentist to tell them I hadn't paid for services--really nice. I work a regular 9-5 job that I can't just take personal calls at anytime I want; I was ready to pay for service last week but no one was there to take it. This office does not offer the same flexibility to patients that they expect for their own bad behavior. 4. The numbers I was quoted for services varied widely from interaction to interaction. When I was emailed an invoice, the amount to be paid was $1,300, but when I called to pay my balance, I was told $1,385; I asked why my balance wasn't the $1,300 I was emailed and was told "OK, we'll do $1,300." Should I need to fact check my doctor's offices that random fees aren't being added? In conclusion, it's not lost on me that we all can become desensitized to the work that we do day in and day out; however, if you are the provider of an expensive and high-stress medical treatment, you simply cannot handle your job with the nonchalance of a disengaged checker at Target.
