I've been coming to this practice for a while and had consistently good experiences with the dentists, so it's disappointing to say that my husband and I won't be returning, and it comes down to one hygienist. On my most recent visit, she repeatedly told me I needed to floss more aggressively and pushed for a deep cleaning for my next appointment. What stood out wasn't the advice but the delivery. She brought it up over and over in the same visit, even after I acknowledged each time that I understood and would definitely get back to my regular flossing routine. It started to feel like being lectured rather than treated like an adult who'd already gotten the message. She also talks a great deal, and the appointments stretch to about an hour and a half as a result. It was jarring that her tone didn't match the dentist's. The dentist gave me a normal, low-key reminder to floss and basically said things looked fine, while the hygienist treated it like an emergency. This was also the first time in all my visits here that I'd ever gotten this kind of feedback, so the intensity felt out of proportion. A few weeks later, my husband saw the same hygienist. She left the suction tool pressed against the side of his mouth long enough that he developed a blister on his lip that lasted several days, along with an abrasion inside his mouth. Both of us had good experiences with the dentists we saw, but between the tone, the length of the appointments, and that injury, neither of us will be coming back. read more

I was nervous to find a new dentist when I moved here two years ago, but I'm so glad I chose Clearview! Every appointment I've had since I first came to them has maintained the same high level of efficiency and professionalism I could ask for. This is by far the best dental practice I have ever been to in the greater Austin area. I have a ton of issues with my teeth and have felt defeated and overwhelmed by it in the past. They have helped me through all my issues and made a straightforward plan to fix them. The care is affordable and everyone in the front office has been amazing as well. I've been seeing Dr. Yoon at Clearview Dental for the past year for some extensive dental work, which was just completed today--and that's why I felt compelled to write this review. From the beginning, Dr. Yoon clearly explained all of my options, including implants, bridge work, extractions, and cavity repairs. He and his entire team were professional, compassionate, and highly skilled throughout the entire process. Wonderful experience. It had been far too long since my last appointment, so they had their work cut out with the cleaning but were gentle and patient with me. I also appreciated Dr. Nguyen's thorough communication with me on my dental hygiene. My 3 year old also had her first dentist check today, and Dr. Nguyen was so great with her. As shy and unsure she is with doctors in general, she let Dr. Nguyen check her teeth, teach her about the tools she'd be using and then do a cleaning. I have a huge fear of the dentist but lately I've been having some tooth pain. I did a ton of research before choosing to go here and I'm glad I did. The office was welcoming, staff was super polite and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. They walked me through everything they were doing and why, the wait was extremely short, and they really did care about my oral health. I need to have some teeth extracted and they referred me to their partner surgeon and made sure I understood everything before sending me in my way. After my surgery I will be scheduling a follow up appointment and continue coming back. I still have a fear of the dentist but they made it much more tolerable than any other dentist I've been to in the past. read more

Up until now, I never went to the dentist. Mostly because of how expensive it was. However, after having a bad cavity, I went to see Dr. Yoon. My experience was so great. The environment is very calming and clean, staff is very fast and polite, Dr. Yoon was very professional, knowledgeable, and he saved a teeth that I thought i was going to have to get root canal for. He saved me a lot of money by saving my teeth. They followed up and told me if I had any problems or pain come up in the following weeks, to follow up and they indeed made sure I was taken care of properly throughout the whole process. I saw all the good reviews on here so I decided to try it out. I went in with some gum pain and I was able to set an appointment for the next day. The lady I spoke to on the phone was so patient and kind. Next day I go into the office and waited no more than 15 mins (had to fill out new patient paperwork) and the dental hygienist I saw was great! Amazing service. I walked in and was able to get seen right then and there. I had been having horrible pain from my wisdom tooth, and my old dentist couldn't get me in for an extraction for another month, but Dr. Nguyen had my tooth out in less than an hour with just local anesthetic. I've been looking for a new regular dentist, one who could fix my front teeth and give me a "Hollywood Smile." The procedure took nearly two hours. Dr. Yoon's shots did not bother me! Not sure what his technique is but he has the touch. He asked several times during the procedure if I needed a break and if I was alright, and repeatedly said, you are in control. I've had terrible dentist experiences, so naturally I was a little anxious coming here. After reading all the good reviews, I booked with them and was completely satisfied. I can't remember the name of my doctor, but she was an Asian lady. She was so sweet and knew how to make good communication. Most importantly, she was thorough and detailed when it came to explaining my dental problems. She broke it down clearly with terms I could understand and provided solutions for everything. She gave me her professional advice on what steps I should take to fix my dental issues with minimal appointments all while being cost effective. I love her. I had no problems with the work she's done on me. I wish I could make her my personal dentist. The two workers at the front are nice. I've had two cleanings so far - all good - great bedside, or chair side manner, customer service, etc. Then I go and chip my tooth Monday night. I was freaking out and concerned.
