I can't say enough good things about Dr. Johnson and the amazing team at Brushy Creek! I'm a difficult patient in that I have serious anxiety when it comes to the dentist, but Dr. J always talks me through everything and makes me feel as comfortable as possible. Recently, I went through the lengthy process of getting an implant, and Dr. J definitely had his work cut out for him. I'm incredibly grateful to now have the space filled with a permanent solution, and I already feel less insecure when speaking with people. While I don't love the shape of the implant (we're always our own worst critics), I fully understand and truly believe that the best possible job was done with what he had to work with. It's scary finding a new dentist, especially when some tend to want to redo everything you have ever had done. I'm pleased to say, the hygienist was kind and gentle. This review is for the witness of how they have treated my wife specifically the oral surgeon which is one thing and front desk who play games to make a dollar off people through inaccurate insurance claims which leads to charging you unnecessary amounts of money up front which is another whole ordeal in itself ! As if they have never done paperwork for insurance companies in their lives which is hard to believe so when they mess up it has to be on purpose in my opinion of course the blame will be pointed back at you with very wordy nonsensical responses to derail the conversation and leave you thinking "maybe it is my fault ". We have paper work to prove their so called accidental inaccurate insurance claims they will say is because you the customer where not clear . For instance they told my wife she was getting her upper wisdom tooth removed the day she showed up for surgery when she very clearly stated it was her lower right wisdom tooth several times over. Imagine showing up on the day of surgery and your doctor not knowing what tooth they are removing and having to change their plans last minute rite before you walk in. How comforting rite?! Then the women behind the desk sending your insurance the paper work for the wrong tooth on top of that and telling you to sort it out yourself. I was told my wife's surgery would take 40 minutes or so depending which is understandable , especially for an impacted tooth I'd expect a bit longer just incase of any hiccups or unforeseen issues which is also reasonable . What's not reasonable is hearing the customer / patient that was scheduled after my wife have zero understanding that surgery isn't always predictable that the doctor didn't even know what tooth he was removing till thirty minutes prior and nagging the staff repeatedly to the point where the other doctor in the office had to come out and nicely explain that they where taking longer because of issues with my wife's tooth being difficult to remove. That's not the doctors fault but what is the fault of the staff is then feeling the pressure from this impatient customer the fact they where unprepared and treating us like we where somehow to blame from that point on . Not too long after this guys nags them the surgeon comes out and in a real angry condescending tone tells me to basically get off my butt and hurry up around back to pick my wife up. So I drive around back and nobody is there to walk her out, I have to walk into the back door in the break room and find my wife in the hallway sitting there all drugged up while my toddler is still in my running vehicle freaking out. Did I have to bring my toddler yes incase that's a reason to somehow point a finger at us. Then I'm having to wait while the doctor won't even come out to explain anything to me so I wait for his assistant who is also preparing the next patient to come out and give me the follow up/post op instructions in a rush although she was trying her best out of anyone there to be helpful. Yes they went over some of these instructions thirty minutes before surgery but since it took almost 2 hours I was thinking they where going to go into detail why it took so long rather than give me a 1 minute rundown and shew me out the back with my wife like they had done us some favor . The nurse specifically said "it's all on the paper I gave you and don't be afraid to call us for any reason ." Ok so the paper they gave us specifically says call and reschedule for a follow up in seven days after the surgery. I witnessed my wife repeatedly call and be blown off and told they didn't have any availability and to try again another day rather than scheduling her in even if it meant waiting past seven days . This is very concerning that they don't take anything like a surgery seriously enough to know she would need a follow up post surgery and set a date for her anyway when scheduling the surgery. Nope of course they couldn't do this especially when they where whisking us out back backdoor in a hurry to please this nagging jerk meanwhile my wife is equally a patient and paying good money to be there. Of course it has to be our fault though rite? They tried their best what more could they do? What more did we want? We are mistaken the front desk was misinformed! They have reached out out ZERO times so any of that sounds like Blah blah blah in reality, they have refused to do a follow up visit without saying they won't but instead refusing to schedule my wife due to a busy schedule. Not a call from the office or doctor or nurse even once. We will definitely get a second opinion even if everything is peachy because it's just what you do after any surgery no matter how small . read more

I came here recently for my first time and had a wonderful experience! Both the Dental Hygienist and Dentist were so thorough throughout my exam and cleaning, and they really put my mind at ease. They explained my x-rays and made sure I understood, and recommended treatments/services but did not push me at all which was a relief. They told me what they thought and said it's my decision and I can take time to think. I came in to see Dr Johnson for a few issues. I was experiencing pain with my bite shifting and I had popped off an old veneer. Over the course of a few visits, he got me in a great place with both. My bite feels a thousand times better and he replaced my broken veneer with a crown that looks perfect. He even got me in next day when the veneer originally broke because, of course, it broke the week I was flying out for my wedding. They got a temporary on and that temp lasted months while we got the regular crown sorted. (It took awhile because the doc was pretty particular about getting the color right, which I really appreciate.) They also made me a bite guard to stop my night grinding and it's the first guard in my life I haven't ground straight through. All in all, very satisfied and me and my wife will both keep coming here! Cleanings are also a breeze and the office is modern and clean. read more

I came here in June for a cleaning and to talk about my bottom right wisdom tooth. It was very impacted and trying to come out horizontally. It was starting to bother me, so before it caused damage to the tooth next to it I wanted to consult with the dentist. Dr. Brandon informed me that I would need to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once. I opted for just one tooth to be removed since my other wisdom teeth have grown out and are not bothering me. Jill told me my insurance would not cover any of the extraction unless it was for all four wisdom teeth. This was before she even submitted anything to my insurance. I requested that she provide a quote for all four and just the one impacted tooth. I was told the extraction would be done in house and their surgeon works there twice a week. There is a $500 upfront payment to secure your appointment. I wanted to know what my insurance would cover before paying any amount. I received a pre-op quote from Brushy Creek Dentistry saying my out of pocket expense for the four wisdom teeth to be extracted would be a little over $2000. I thought yikes no thank you. It took about 2 months of back and forth with my insurance telling me they will cover the sedation for the impacted tooth and Jill telling me they would not. Ultimately I paid the $500 to reserve my appt. I needed this tooth out asap because I was now getting ear aches on my right side. Dr. Holly in the past was great with my son and I liked the fact that the extraction would be done in house. I was informed by Jill that I would get a call the night before the surgery from Dr. Sharaf. That never happened. The day of the extraction (8/24/22) I paid $328 which was the remaining balance, so a total of $828 to have my one impacted wisdom tooth removed. Apparently Jill put on their system that I had requested my top left tooth to be extracted. The front desk rep. and Dr. Sharaf's assistant asked if it was the top left wisdom tooth I had wanted extracted. I explained I only wanted the impacted tooth which was my bottom right wisdom tooth. Well apparently Jill had it wrong, and explains why she told me I would not have coverage for the sedation. I mentioned this to the Brushy Creek representative and she said the quote was correct they just had a mix up in their system. Dr. Sharaf's assistant then spoke with my husband and I for about 30 minutes on what to expect for the surgery and post-op. She was very informative and made me and my husband feel at ease. Back in the operating room, Dr. Sharaf is having trouble finding a vein to hook me up to saline and the sedation. After about 30 minutes he finally finds one on top of my right hand. He was moving the needle back and forth and side to side in my hand and it felt very painful and uncomfortable. I let him know and he said he was just trying to secure the needle. He seemed frustrated. His assistant was trying to make me feel comfortable and even said she would rather he be her anesthesiologist than some of the doctors in the hospital. He then hooked me up to the sedation medicine where my right arm bends and with in moments I was out. Mid-operation I woke up to my head jerking from left to right. It seems like he was struggling to get the tooth out. I heard a drill and them saw a piece of tooth go across my face as he handed it to his assistant. A few moments later Dr. Sharaf gets up and leaves the room. He did not say anything to me at all. His assistant said he was finished and I asked if I could see my tooth. She told me no and that she had already put it in a vile. She also mentioned that my tooth was fused to the bone. She said he had definitely gotten all of the tooth out. I asked again if I could see it but she did not respond.I was then stood up and sat in a chair in the hallway. My husband came in the back door and I was escorted out the back to my car. I remember thinking this was very odd because prior to my operation I saw a patient with gauze in his mouth leaving through the front door after scheduling his follow up appointment. My husband told me I was in the operating chair for 1 1/2 hours. We were told this would be a 45 minute - 1 hour procedure. He said the doctor went out to tell him to drive around back to get me. Now I know things change and understand that the doctor had difficulty getting a vein. It is now 23 days post operation and I still have not had a follow up visit. I have called multiple times and spoken to Jill who told me they would get back to me about the follow up. I don't understand what is going on. My dental insurance just informed me that the dentist office only sent them a pre op for all four wisdom teeth. The office needs to send through medical first and then if they decline then my dental insurance will cover 80% including the sedation of the impacted tooth. I am appalled at all of this. read more

I took my two children ages 5 and 3 for a cleaning and exam and I could not have been happier with our experience. Dr. Brandon Johnson was so kind and patient with my kids. My son has anxiety when it comes to the dentist's office and Dr. Johnson was so understanding. He slowed everything down, reassured my son and gave him time to calm down before he continued the exam. Any mother could appreciate that! Dr. Johnson spoke to my kids about everything that he was going to do and he did not dumb down his language for them, rather he spoke matter of factly and I appreciated that. I was Dr. Shirley Hamancy patient to begin with. I was scheduled for cleaning services with her back in January 2020 and doing the x-rays they found out that there are 4 to 5 cavities that need a filling. I was scheduled for these services separately and went in to get these taken care off with DR. Johnson. He filled couple of cavities and started the work on this left upper tooth and spent a lot of time grinding and injecting anesthesia to fill this tooth with no luck and I had to schedule for a root canal asap. I was not planning for any root canals (very expensive and can be planned unless you have pain) this year as my teeth were fine and I did not have any pain what so ever. On talking to the Doc he said he did not have good clarity on Dr. Shirley Hamancy patients and the work that needs to be done and he thought he can give this a shot and he said he is not responsible for how the tooth ended up needing other services and a large bill. I was not charged for this cavity filling because it did not work. I went and got my root canal done and later also found out that due to the grinding that DR. Johnson used some of the other tooth next to the problem tooth have become so sensitive that they hurt even to the touch of your finger. I believe I will have to schedule for more services and get the sensitivity taken care of. My other family members had a similar experience and my spouse teeth got chipped due to the cleaning tools they have used and ended up scheduling for this repair and another surprise bill. We are not going to this clinic what so ever. Be Careful!. I cancelled all my family appointments with this clinic to avoid surprise bills and fall a victim to the grinding tools that are being used. read more
