Now that we live closer to Houston, we were able to assemble an awesome #DreamTeam for my Mother-In-Law to get her smile back. Around Christmas, I asked her if she was interested and she said yes, but was extremely fearful to go to the dentist. I don't like the dentist. At all. I have been putting off a problem tooth and today I had to make an emergency visit. Dr. Ding and his staff were amazing. The office is beautiful and spotless. Dr. Ding went over everything I needed and made a plan with me. He took the time to listen and answer all my questions. I don't numb well and I never felt a thing. He didn't rest any instruments on my lip, they let me spit 100 times and he told me everything he was doing before he did it. I had to switch dentists after 25+ years and went to one other dentist in Pflugerville, Dr. Ding is the third dentist to ever work on my teeth. Hanging out in the dental chair is not my idea of a fun morning. It's a nightmare really. Sharp instruments and rubber gloves poking into your mouth, bright lights in your face, and that waft of halitosis. Am I at the dentist or am I an abductee getting probed by aliens. I don't know. All I do know is I don't like it. That's why I'm glad I found doctor Ding. I can not lie and say I absolutely enjoyed it, but if you have to pick a dentist, Dr. Ding is the one. He is the most gentle dentist I've ever had. A light touch with the tools and very conscientious. He must make sure his staff is the same way because a hygienist did an excellent job as well. The office staff is very pleasant and friendly. Their appointments are flexible. Text notifications. All goodness. Billing was straight forward.with no surprises. Dr. Bill is AWESOME. Got me in for a much needed cleaning/ check up super quickly and then was able to schedule me to get my wisdom teeth removed one week later. The procedure was quick, easy and painless. The worst part of the whole thing was just the puffy numbness from the novocaine for a few hours post procedure - and no I wasn't asleep for the procedure. 4 days later and I have experienced no pain whatsoever and just a tiny bit of swelling- but no one in my office could tell. I drove all the way from San Antonio because I heard really great things about Dr. Ding from friends and I'm glad I went to see him! I haven't been to the dentist in quite a long time and was nervous but he is very nice and easy to get along with so it made the whole experience a lot better. I came in for a deep cleaning and X-Ray and it was not scary at all like I imagined. I had a lot of questions and he was very informative and thorough with everything. The staff is great too, everyone is really friendly. Checkin and checkout was easy and quick (be sure you are camera ready because they need to take a photo of you to have on file), interior/ decor is very nice, and the patient rooms are very clean. There's a cute little area for the kids to watch tv and there are also computers for patients to use in the waiting area! I am actually looking forward to my next visit to the dentist (even though it's for a cavity filling) because I know Dr. Ding will keep my smile extra fabulous. Going to the dentist has always been one my least favorite things to do, I normally put if off only because I have had so much trauma in the past from other dentists. I actually had a panic attack while I was in the chair having a procedure at Dr Ding's office. I forgot to let Dr. Ding know that I do occasionally have panic attacks but I failed to mention this to him. Once I noticed that I was having one occur, he handled it perfectly without me even having it accelerate into a full blown attack. I will never forget how he calmed me down and made me feel so comfortable because to me, it was very embarrassing. I have been to many dentists in my lifetime, none compares to Dr. Ding. He is wonderful, knowledgeable, experienced and caring. His staff is just as great especially Gigi... When I made the appointment on the phone she was super nice and made the appointment to fit me in asap... when I came to the office she was there to greet me with a big heartwarming welcoming smile! The waiting area is clean and nicely decorated with a cute kiddie corner for the kids, it was so cute we had to snap a few pictures with my daughter! It's very rare that we are seen on time at any doctor's office, but they are very punctual. I was quickly greeted by an assistant that took my x-rays with brand new state of the art equipment. I was then seated in one of the op rooms and greeted by Dr. Ding who went over my X-rays and explained into details what we are looking at together. The TV screen was a nice addition for me to see my teeth while he pointed out and went over my treatment plan. I had a tooth that has been bothering me for quite some time and my previous dentist told me that there was nothing that could be done and that is how my crown is supposed to look. It was turning black where the crown meets gums, and showed when I smiled or talked. Dr. Ding told me that was not true and that there was a space between my gums and the crown that caused the discoloration and why my floss kept getting stuck there. I was ecstatic to know my tooth could be fixed!!! He went ahead and treated me right away, I was clenching knowing the pain that I'm about to endure with the shots to pop off my crown to get a new one... TO MY SURPRISE I did not feel a THING!!! Nothing! He was so good with needle as others on here has mentioned. I've never in my life received a shot that did not hurt. He is very meticulous and I left such a happy camper with my shiny freshly cleaned teeth and a brand new crown!
