I'm sitting here in the dentist chair. Just had my old, chipped crown removed. It was made of porcelain and lasted about 20 years. Excited to get my new crown which is made in-house and only takes 40 minutes. I like that it can be done in one visit. Dr. Lann and entire staff are REALLY nice. I've had my share of wonderful dentist offices to straight up scarring dentist offices and I must say that Dr. Lann's office is definitely one of the better I've been to (esp in this area). The most key thing was the dental hygienist - she was very thorough and I didn't feel any pain during my cleaning. Dr. Lann and rest of staff were very friendly as well and I never felt like I was being pushed into anything gimmicky which can sometimes happen with dental offices and dental products. He also was from Rose Dental. We received a bill in the mail. $150. I called on a Thursday. I asked what and why am I being charged $150? The lady told me insurance didn't pay for code 0218 (something like that). I wanted to speak to the office manager. I didn't hear back from the office manager until that following Monday. She explained to me called Rose Dental and she spoke with "Amanda". "Amanda" said there wasn't a record of my husband. So the office manager went ahead and took Amanda's word. I am in shock. I'm like we were there 5 years! So there I go like I am now, off the clock, figuring all this out. I called Rose dental myself. They do have record. I called the The insurance and verify... and guess what! The insurance was billed from Rose dental for the exact same procedure Dr. Lann performed on my husband. I call her back again on Thursday and didn't hear back until today. I explained to her rose dental did have record and yes my insurance was billed. I asked the question why didn't you call the insurance? Why didn't you call us back? She simply said "that's not my job". I couldn't believe my ears. I told her I came to her in good faith from another dental office because of the same reason, doing their work. She said "you're NOT doing my work". We went back and forth like little kids fighting over a toy about I'm doing her work. I already called Amanda at rose dental.. and she told me they didn't have record. SHE TOOK AMANDAS WORD." And They scheduled my husband any way without calling us back to ASK if they were even calling the right dental place, if we knew what all was done previously, didn't even didn't call Insurance verify because had she done that, she would saw in his DENTAL HISTORY, this work they were about to do was ALREADY DONE. I wanted to speak to the doctor himself. She told me "you think the doctor is going to leave his patient to talk to you about x-rays?" AGAIN. We went back and forth about getting the doctor on the phone. She also had the nerve to tell me to call back so we can have an adult conversation. WOW. Sounds like she did not want to take responsibility for her mistake. I then told her I'll come up there and talk to him myself. Hung up. If you are thinking about this place. Think again. If you don't have TIME to double check their work. Don't go there. I can't imagine working with her let alone have her as an office manager. She has too much pride to admit her mistake. I did my part and told her where we where previously. All this could have been avoided had she picked up the phone and call us. I don't believe there aren't more Yelp reviews for this place. They are consummate professionals and care more than you would ever know. This is why I am writing another review: My 17 month old fell and it looked like he had knocked one of his front teeth out. He was bleeding everywhere and I was very scared. It was 7 pm and I didn't know if I should take him to the ER or what to do. I called Stonegate Dentistry (Dr. Lann) because I remembered their voice mail having an emergency after hours number. I called the emergency number and Dr. Lann came on the phone. He was SO kind and helpful. He even offered to meet us at his practice so he could look over the baby's mouth and reassure me. He told me to call back if I needed anything else! This morning, the 1st call was from his office to check up on our son. We took him to a pediatric dentist in case they needed to do any work on him and Dr. Lann and his staff asked us to call and let them know how he did at the appointment. When I called, a different person than I had spoken with in the morning answered the phone and when I started to speak to relay the message (That the baby was ok and had the Pediatric dentist visit, etc), she immediately stopped me when she heard my name and said, "oh, Lyla, we have all been waiting to hear from you. How is the baby? Come in and see us or call us if you need anything." That's what I call a caring practice. My son has never been there, they have never met him for that matter, but that fact that they all cared so much to check in and ask about him has really touched me. They are a modern, state of the art practice, in a new building and they are fantastic. If I moved 100 miles away, I would still drive to 620 and Cat Hollow to see Dr. Lann and the ladies of Stonegate Dentistry. read more

4-5 years (family of 4) of dental care with Dr. Lann and his team - every time we go, we felt the warm welcome and kindness of everyone. Dental work is no fun and can be scary. But somehow, in their own way, we (including my kids) felt so at ease and comfortable knowing we're in good hands. They accommodate special requests and are very understanding of each of our concerns and needs. We never had any problem with dental insurance (switched to 3 different insurances due to job - all were processed smoothly by their office). They are not aggressive in pushing their "routine" but are willing to adjust to each patient. The clinic is very clean and when we were in the middle of the covid pandemic, they've implemented extra cleaning of their facility that I felt were above and beyond what others have done. On top of it all, their work (cleaning and dental work) are top-notched. We're moving to a different city, 3.5 hours away. I'm not sure I can find a dental office we love like Dr. Lann's. We've moved to different states 7 times in the past 20 years and we have been to different dental offices. So far, Dr. Lann's services is the best! And no, we are not related to Dr. Lann or anyone in their office. read more

The staff and hygienists are very friendly and responsive, the office is really nice/new/clean, and they do a thorough job while still being prompt in all phases. I actually really liked my previous dentist but they were always so busy I would have to reschedule for months later if I couldn't make my appointment time. I just want to thank Dr. John Lann for taking such good care of me. Another dentist had done a crown twice and it fell out a 3rd time that I didn't feel confident going back. Dr. Lann and his staff were super nice and professional. I was scheduled to have a root canal done with another dentist but after I experienced the lack of professionalism during the pulpotomy and temporary crown I knew I had to find someone else. The morning after I had the pulpotomy I was in so much pain and my bite was really uneven so I called Dr. Lann's office and they got me in the same day. Dr Lann fixed my temporary crown that the previous place messed up as well as set me up with an appointment to finish the root canal. Could not have been any more wonderful with Kiddo. Dental hygienist explained everything, let Kiddo look at the dental tools, play in the dental chair, made teeth cleaning really important and fun. Closing with a trip to the prize drawer. Kiddo still mentions the "sugar bugs" that we need to brush out. Really nice staff. I have had a hard time finding good dentists in the past. So much so that my last dentist did a crown on my tooth that I don't know if I actually needed. That crown had been causing me tons of pain the past couple weeks. I went to Dr. Lann's office and was really impressed. Everyone on the staff that I talked to was so knowledgeable and nice. Due to a traumatic dental experience as an 8-year-old, I was the poster child for lifelong oral health neglect. Finally, at the age of 50 and unable to put off treatment any longer, I went to see my wife's long-time dentist, Dr. Lann. He gradually put me at ease (I don't even need the nitrous anymore) and now, after 15 years and multiple corrective procedures (he performed a root canal and 2 hours later I was eating a cheeseburger!), I actually look forward to my visits with all the great folks at Stonegate Dentistry. They're fantastic people who are fun to be around. Make an appointment. You'll be very glad you did. UPDATE 2/17/2018: Typically any organization that works as a "team" has a weakest link. I love this place! I had a regular cleaning the day before my 3 year old daughter was going to see her dentist and the staff here at Stonegate welcomed her in to watch me get my teeth cleaned. Christina was the Hygienist and she was terrific with my little girl, she treated her like she was her own. She explained all the instruments and showed how they were used to clean my teeth. My daughter got to touch and feel everything, when it was time for her cleaning the next day she was super calm and cooperative. It was really great! Plus this place has all the slick gizmos to do an amazing job. They even just got a VELscope to do oral cancer screening as an optional part of routine cleanings! Seriously cool stuff. They have a mill to do in house ceramic crown fabrication, and Dr. Lann was happy to take a moment to show it off when I asked about it. Finally, after 25 years of going to the dentist I FINALLY find one that I like.. Dr. Lann. Anyone out there have wisdom teeth? Do you enjoy being harassed by your dentist every time you visit about removal?? Well, Dr. Lann still has his wisdom teeth and he didn't' bother me at all about mine.. He is THE first dentist in 25 years that didn't repeatedly nag me about this.. Also, the hygienist that did my cleaning was very professional, very competent and nice. I actually received actually what I asked for, got billed for only what I asked for, and left happy. Seems like something easy, but NO dentist except for Dr. Lann seems to be able to accomplish this small feat. Also, my previous dentist had a huge list of things I HAD to get done.. life-threatening items that cost thousands..
