Beware of prize scams! I've been a massive customer of this location for years, and being scammed by them like this is a huge disappointment. Claimed this PS4 controller charger listed for 3,590 but they charged me over 4,000 tickets. After the guy at the counter charged me, I told him the item was listed for less. He checked the item where I showed him (see pic), then said it was a wrong label. Asked him if they would at least honor the price posted, and he said they wouldn't. No apology or willingness to make things right, whatsoever. Still can't believe I was scammed by what I considered to be my favorite arcade in DFW. Service was a bit slow at the bar line because there was only one person mid afternoon on a Saturday pouring adult drinks but they were very nice and the selection was decent. Plenty of games were available, many direct from Japanese arcades, but several needed some maintenance that made them difficult or impossible to use. The experience at Round1 is great and super consistent! I usually come for the games moreso than the bowling or karaoke. They've recently added a lot of different claw games including smaller claw games for smaller prizes and I feel like they've been updating the prizes in the claw games overall more often which is nice. The price is overall pretty fair and the workers are helpful too with tips on the claw games or helping to reset the prize to its starting position. Why are the claw machines so addicting? I enjoyed my time at Round One. I finally tried the claw machines and while I did win prizes it took so many tries!!! I like the hours here too. It's a bit of a walk from Meow Wolf but it's nice to have somewhere open nearby that we could visit. The games are your standard arcade games. And they have so many claw machines it's insane. There was way too many to choose from and I had to stop after two wins. read more

This place is amazing! It is the arcade of arcades, with lights flashing and bells ringing, as well as all the machines making their noises. Though it is many things in addition to an arcade, the ambiance is straight arcade! You can bowl here, play pool, play ping pong, sing karaoke, bowl, and of course eat too! The service was great. I had problem with a couple machines and there was always somebody right there to help. In fact, each section had at least 1 to 2 employees there. There are a lot of young people working which is fine but they didn't have any professional appearance. My karaoke mic stopped working within 10 minutes in our rental period. Then I had to go switch it out for a corded mic instead of wireless. It took several minutes to switch out and we were not able to use the full 2 hours to sing. What a fun arcade! This place has tons of arcade games as well as an extensive crane game section, bowling, and karaoke. There is fun for everyone! I thought the prizes would be overall terrible but I actually was impressed with the quality of prizes here. Round 1 is from Japan and many of the prizes seemed to be very similar / same to the offerings in Japan. I was pleased to see a lot of Rilakkuma and even some Nenderoids in the ticket prize section. I didn't get a chance to play any of the games but if I lived in the area I would come back and try my hand. read more

Spent 55$. Would NEVER come back. I came so my daughter could play claw machines because she really likes them and it was her birthday present. Many claws were broken and the others scammed us. Some went down, grabbed the prize, waited a solid 10 seconds, then it went to the prize chute after already dropping it. Another one we encountered grabbed the prize, then the claw opened up after grabbing it. While we were playing one, the claw went down and the machine glitched and started flashing and had an error message. The games are fun, but the payout rate is like 1/380. I've been wanting to come here to play claw machines forever and finally got to come!! It was definitely an experience! There were ROWS and rows of large claw machines with various plushies from sanrio, rilakkuma, other cute animal plushies, squishmallow, and anime figures. There were also the small claw machines to get little keychains. First of all, I think the small claw machines are less possible to win than the normal claw machines...We tried multiple times but each time the claw grabbed onto one, it would open up and drop it before it got to the drop box....I never saw anyone win anything from those but maybe we were just unlucky...Also, the credits for the small machines was 9 while it wad 13 credits for a large plush, so the large ones were more worth our time and money. On the large machines, it is definitely possible to win!! From playing a few different machines, it seems like each plushie has a weak spot that if the claw is able to grab that area, it will stay in the claw to the drop box. We played for a while and were able to win 3 big plushies, which we were very excited about! The workers were also very nice about resetting the plushies and wanted to see us win haha For the rest of the arcade, they also had taiko no tatsujin, which is like a japanese drumming game, DDR, and more unique japanese games! We really enjoyed this section of the arcade! All in all, I'd be prepared to spend a decent amount of money depending on how many plushies you want to win and how many games you want to play! I think we probably spent around $80-90 shared between 3 people, which isn't too bad and had a lot of fun!! 10/10 would recommend! read more

This place is very addicting and so much fun! My friends took me to this location for my first Round1 visit back in 2021 and I've been a huge fan. My goal is to get good with crane games before I visit Japan. They have arcade games, DDR, crane games, bowling, karaoke, pool and so much more. It's the perfect place to hang out with friends on the weekends or late at night since they open until 2 AM every day! You buy the game card at the registers, and reload it when you're low. The best price to package is $100 for 800 credits, plus an extra $5 annual renewal fee. The credits are good if you play rhythm games or other arcade games that you won't be addicted to, but I only go for their crane games. Rhythm games are like 8 credits for 3 songs, so you definitely get your money's worth. I think my boyfriend only reloaded his card twice meanwhile I reloaded 5 times since Nov 2022. It's very dangerous for my wallet. I used to think the crane games are scams, but after spending hundreds of hours watching YouTube videos and playing, I would say that it's winnable with practice. I'm nowhere to the pro level, but I do win a couple of plushies every time I visit. Of course, I have to limit myself to how many tries I should do per machine before moving on. It cost 13 credits per play, so around $1.67 per game if you purchase the 800 credits pack. What I love about this location is the service. There are plenty of workers and they're all friendly. If you want to reset a plushie before playing, they'll do it because they want you to win as well. I like going after 10 PM because there are no screaming kids around, and I can just focus on my crane games. It seriously takes too much mental thinking for me, and it can get distracting when there are 5+ people just staring at you. Overall, it's definitely a fun spot to drop by with family and friends. I think they offer an unlimited play pass for $8 if you just want to play simple games (green swipe, NO RAINBOW). Don't come here if you can't control yourself!! read more

Although this is a really cool place to go, it's a a black hole in your wallet. The crane machines are rigged so you can't win unless you play 10+ times. Breakdown of prices. If you spend $22, that's about 5.2 credits per dollar. Most of the arcade games start off at 6 credits so you're paying over $1 per game. The classic air hockey game is 12 credits so you're paying $2+ for a short game. The crane machines cost 13 credits so that's almost $3 per game. On top of that, the crane machine claws are so weak so even if you're a pro at the games, you'll spend $30 to get a prize. I loathe this place because it's heartbreaking to see parents & kids get stressed out on how expensive/rigged everything. AND the prizes given are mediocre. read more

THE PLAYGROUND STRUCTURE IS GONE!! I know some people won't care because they added more UFO machines which I do love but the play structure was really nice for the kiddos to play in (with wife's supervision) while I go win some anime figures. Bowling was good but the arcade was not. So many broken games. Many didn't work but weren't turned off so we had to go to the counter to get point refunds for games that took $ but couldn't be played. Bathrooms were awful. No tp, no soap, broken hand dryers and smears all over the stall walls of god knows what. read more

Lots to do. Many activities. Good energy environment. We ended up here to bowl after avoiding a 2 hour wait at Pinstacks Las Colinas. It was a busy Saturday night but the wait wasn't too long, just about 30 minutes. We didn't have any food but we had a couple of drinks - margarita was decent AND they did have a machine for you to get purified water for free (the water was really good). To order food or drinks you go to a kiosk to order then you pick your food & drink up at the counter. They have a great variety of adult beverages and they put a fluorescent band around your wrist to show you're 21+. Bowling prices were good and I did love the ease of getting your bowling shoes and alley once you paid for your game(s). We had a fun time and will definitely return. read more

We had 2 lanes for 2 hours, spent $$$ on drinks & wings but we cant order any pizza because we were told pizza were reserved for people who made reservation for parties... makes no sense... if that was the case it shouldnt be open to public and on top of that one of the worker was giving us a hard time when we asked to extend bowling time. Let's start the new year off right with some reviews! I kicked off New Year's Eve with family at Round1 in grapevine. My brother is a New Year's Eve baby so we celebrate each year by going bowling and this year was our first at Round1. I have been here once before but just to drink, hang out and play pool. There was nothing special or great that made me want to come back but nothing to make me not come back. It is your typical event/entertainment type of place, similar to main event or pinstack. When you first walk in you see all of the arcade games, once you pass through that large area you will see the gaming counter where you would pay for the activities for the evening. They offer bowling, billiards and karaoke. We had a group of 7 and they put us in just 1 lane, this caused some issues down the line as we went on to play. The seating for one lane is barely enough for 4 people, so sitting 7 in one booth did not work out well. They kept assigning groups to the lane next to us but the space was so crowded the groups would go and complain to the staff and get another lane. Also with 7 people in one lane, it took us nearly 2 hours to get through just one game of bowling. They do not sell liquor at this establishment, i am guessing they lost their liquor license or something happened to cause this because at one point they did have liquor. They have beer and wine only. They do not serve or give out any glass, understandably. I can only assume it's because people just trash the place and drop drinks and what not. The guy who took our order at the bar was kinda scary, i felt like i was talking to a drill sergeant. The way they ask for i.d and hand out drinks one by one, single file. You can't order drinks for other people unless they are front and center. It was just clear they have been through and dealt with some stuff to act the way they do. Most of the other staff dealing with food was friendly and no issue there. There is certainly no one walking around cleaning up the place. More so in the eating/dining area. It was disgusting. Trash everywhere so little to no tables clean and available. Towards the end of our night, around 11pm or so, it seemed as though the presence of security went up and the crowds coming in looked a little sketchy. Having been here for the second time, i can conclude i would never come back in my own. read more

This place is now a family favorite! My husband and I are pretty nerdy when it comes to claw machines so this place is perfect. Great figurine collection to play for, and it's always changing. My daughter LOVES the plushies so she loves the claw games too! The arcade is pretty big and has a lot to choose from. Haven't been bowling or in the kids play zone yet, but we'd go for the games alone. I would recommend buying the black game card and investing in the $100 credit deal. We went on a Thursday before Veteran's Day (a Friday). The prices listed for the kids' soft scape play area as M-Th $11.50, a few dollars more for Friday and the weekend. Since it was Thursday, I expected the price to be $11.50, but the kid at the counter rang it up as a Friday since the next day was a holiday. I asked if he could give me a military discount to get the price to the correct $11.50, but he either couldn't or wouldn't. I was a bit ticked off that they took advantage of Veteran's Day to jack up their price, but didn't show any consideration to someone for whom the holiday is intended. Maybe this sounds entitled, but the whole thing just irked me. I don't mind not having a military discount, but counting a Thursday as a Friday to charge more... Not cool. My wife called the manager to express this same sentiment and got some excuse about antiquated cash registers. The place was clean. The food was way overpriced, so I walked two minutes to the food court and got better food cheaper. My kid had fun regardless. But we aren't going back because we felt ripped off. read more

If you need something to do, on a random night, I would recommend Round1. They have a ton of games, friendly to all ages, foods, and prizes. I also want to note that the claw machines are winnable in comparison to most places. It does take a bit of skill and practice but it is possible, I almost never leave without one. Games I recommend: Kissa Rain, DDR, claw machines, skee ball, pac man. Plus the photo booths for an extra surprise. It's an expensive experience so be intentional about where you want your game points to go. read more

We went for my son's birthday to play video games and we did have a good time but a lot of the games were not working which isn't that big of a deal but for the price you pay to be able to play the games there should not be so many offline, not working, malfunctioning or under maintenance. I started taking pictures of the games that were unavailable for various reasons halfway through our visit I included several with this review but there were many many more And more than a couple are way too many for the price they charge in my opinion. I gave them two stars because we did have a good time regardless but needless to say I was rather disappointed in our experience. Came here with some friends for a game night. It's kind of expensive to get credits but you have a lot of game choices so it's nice to have options. They have a ton of claws, and coin pusher games. They also have a good mix of multiplayer games and other ticket games. All family friendly options. Of course you can win tickets and trade them in too. I had an issue with one of the games giving and error so I couldn't play it. The employees helped me get that refunded and fixed the machine so that I could play again. I love Round1, but I'm a bit sad that the prize machines don't have as many good plushies and figurines anymore. Probably because there were too many people expertly playing the machines, winning all the best trending prizes, and taking them away in large trash bags. It's crazy because I've seen the same people do that every time I've gone and I recognize them as comic/anime shop owners. Really sad that some people always have to ruin the fun for others.
