Such a fun place to take your family or friends. We headed to Main Event for my daughter's 15th birthday as a place for her to hang out with her friends. They were mostly interested in the arcade as well as eating some pizza in the pizza cafe. At Main Event they offer bowling, arcade, billiards, laser tag and VR. They have party rooms as well as two restaurants and bar. I did notice some specials that would be good to share. On Tuesdays they offer kids 12 and under eat free with a menu items of 11.99 or more. Happy hour is offered Monday-Friday 3:00pm -6:00 pm. On Sunday-Thursday they also offer Happy hour 9:00 pm-11:00 pm. On Monday nights they offer all you can play games after 4:00 p.m. for 12.99. Also everyday except Saturday you can play activities for 19.99 plus a 10.00 fun card. The staff was very friendly. My daughter's friend lost her phone and one of the staff was able to find that it was left in the bar. We were very grateful that he took the time to help us check. Went today for Kids Bowl Free and had a great time!! It cost a little less than $6 for shoes. They set up the lane with bumpers and dinosaur roller and walked us to our lane. I brought a special needs kiddo and they were so friendly and interacted with her a lot and even remembered her name when we left. Staff was so friendly! read more

They must have a lot of new staff because it didn't seem like anybody had a clue what was going on. Not much acknowledgement at front desk, understand being busy, but it's easy to look up at someone standing right in front of you and say "hey I'll be with you in one moment" but that didn't happen. Bartender seemed lost. Our server who did good once he arrived, but it was 50 minutes into our 1.5 hour time, after waiting an hour for a lane. Manager also didn't acknowledge us when standing at the shoe area waiting. Asked a staff member if there was a water fountain, said no and walked away, didn't connect us with a server or say "sorry about that, you'll have to go to the bar." Just crickets. If I could give 0 stars I would. I walked in around 12:10 am on 1/31 and there was only one bartender which is understandable for the time of night. What wasn't understandable was the fact that after she took a shot with guests she laughed in our direction then walked into the kitchen. We finally left around 12:25 when we realized she wasn't coming back out. I honestly don't care that she was drinking on the job it's just really poor service and a horrible first impression of Texas so far. read more

What a shit experience!! Went for a birthday and was informed of a private event that started at 10:30p. Got a game card 5 minutes before 10p in the middle of using credits they shut down all the arcade games and refused to refund any lost money. Came here for the verse immersive experience and was sadly disappointed. We made reservations at 9 because it was the only time slot available for a group of 3. We chose a 2 experience ticket for 1 hour of augmented reality, tickets were about $40 each. When we arrived, we were told that they had a large party and overbooked the previous day so they had to rain check several people that ended up coming tonight. They gave use some game card and said come back in about 30 minutes and check. We did just that even though none of us were really interested in playing game, we now had to fill time. After we came back, the guy told us he needed to check the headsets and make sure that they were working and to stand outside. While outside another guy walked by and told us to go wait inside...so we go back inside and tell that guy someone else told us to wait and inside. We finally got to put on some headsets and interact. The room was very small and the playable area was about half that room. The stories had lots of dialogue to listen to so if you wanted to finish the story you had to skip some of it. The immersion was very glitchy, often time not working properly or having to reset items. On our second experience my headset got a low battery prompt which i took to the worker. He gave me a new battery and sent me back to the game. After about 5 minutes the second headset completely died and turned off. The worker then had to get me a whole new headset which reset my entire progress and score and he said that when the rest of my party was finished i would have to be done as well. Because of that, i had to frantically rush through the experience to try and catch back up to where i was and ended up not being able to get through the story. Lastly, the whole room just smelled like feet for some reason and i couldn't wait to get out. It is a cool concept and the marketing looks cool but save your money because this is certainly not worth it. read more

We were in town visiting, it was a group of about seven of us we were served quickly. The food has gotten much better. We tried the fried pickles and brussels sprouts, chicken sandwich, and they were very tasty. It was kind of busy, so yes, it was a little loud, but that is expected, the manager, I think her name is Courtney. She was awesome very attentive, nice and professional. I was attempting to schedule an event at this location of Main Event for 24 people. Each time I called, Angelique (or Angela) told me I HAD to book this on the website and that's the ONLY way to do this. I called multiple times and explained to her (multiple times) that the website only allows for 2 people on 2 lanes, asks for shoe sizes and names, etc. None of this makes it easy to book for 24 people. I asked for a manager to call me back. This was Brian and it was hours before he called back. By this time I went to the location at Grand Prairie.. EXCELLENT experience there. I gave 3 stars, but I want to distinguish events here. Food/games/prices are all what you'd expect so no dings there. However, the "immersive experience"is not worth the cost. The speaking lines are way too long, and it's cool for about 30 mins. But we bought the bundle and i was already so done. With headset problems - and sorry to say - but the sanitary of the headsets kept me creeped out. Staff putting them on their heads all the way, not cleaning them before returning them to the shelf... not comfortable with that. And, the bundle isn't worth the price. Thirty mins is plenty if you want to do this. And, bring an alcohol wipe for your headset! read more

We booked our son's 7th birthday party here three weeks in advance and paid our $100 deposit and were told that someone would reach out to us to confirm the guest count prior to the party. The day of the party came and I still hadn't heard from anyone so I called to give them our final guest count and was told that they don't have our reservation. When they finally found it, we were told they could not accommodate our party and that they'd offer me a refund instead. This was a few hours before the scheduled time for the party. Having to unexpectedly scramble to contact other venues to see if they could host our party last minute and having to contact all of the kid's parents was unnecessary stress. For anyone booking a party, please make sure to follow up with them well in advance of the date of the party. To this day, I still have not received the refund of my deposit or an apology. Friends and myself came in tonight for drinks and bowling. Upon arrival we got our lane and a server came over before we started playing and took our drink and food orders. After completing a full game of bowling with 5 players we still hadn't received water, drinks or food. So we went up and asked our server and found out he forgot to place our order. We spoke to the manager and he was unwilling to comp ANYTHING or give us any extra time to bowl when we had wasted 30 minutes waiting for our waters much less our drinks. A honest "Rey Review": $$ Me, my girlfriend, and family came here to bowl. We had a lot of fun bowling and our family enjoyed the games played there. However, where it is two stars is the service. We arrived and the lady that helped us had an irritable attitude. She took our order when we arrived, but we never received any of our drinks til another gentleman helped us. When exchanging bowling shoes for different sizes, there were 3 employees at the desk and instead of helping me they just talked to each other. Had a great time today with family and friends celebrating the 11th birthday of our little one. The experience was mostly positive with a few blips. We were there as soon as they opened. I recommend that highly as it got very busy a few hours later. We were greeted quickly and had a pleasant experience in getting down to bowling. Everything was clean and went smoothly. We were able to get someone to serve us and enjoyed our appetizers and drinks alongside of family bowling time. Next we played laser tag. Again it was fun. Being there early really helped. We were able to play with a small group and had a better experience over all. I enjoyed the game as a free for all rather than teams. Fun! Things went downhill a little from there. We wanted lunch. Found a seat and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally I went over to the bar and was told there was no waitress outside of the bar area. There were also no menus. The bar person found us someone and sent them our way. We were able to order and received our food and game cards fairly swiftly. The food unfortunately was so so at best. The order was not as placed but the two who had problems didn't care to have it corrected. My salad was dripping with dressing which made it pretty inedible. And the chicken was solid cold. So I hate to say it but no one had a great experience with the food unfortunately. We played games while waiting for the food and after. Unfortunately several games had broken guns and problems which took finding someone to refund or address. Don't get me wrong. It was only about 5 games with problems. But the biggest annoyance I found is that they weren't marked. We found the problem by having to deal with it. Even when we told the staff they didn't put signs on anything. It would be nice if Main Event paid attention to those and brought the experience up to a 5 star. Overall though we had a good time and would be back. Just most likely avoid eating. read more

Everything was great except their arcade machines are sooooo expensive. Give us a break?! $1-3 a game on a Sunday at 1pm. Sometimes it just last 2 seconds. We spent about $200 in cards and only got one action figure, one stuffed animal, and some candy. We ordered pizza and it was yummy. Service was amazing. You can buzz them and they come on over. The variety of activities are cool but it can add up. I suggest going on their off-days so you can reap the rewards. read more

The family came here on a rainy Friday night for a retirement party and I did not know what to expect on a rainy Friday. The games here are fun to play. You can never go wrong with first party shooters, air hockey, dance games, trivia, claw games and random ticket dispensing games. My only complaint is that their isn't any pinball games, which is why they are not receiving 5 stars. The bar/billiards area is very cool as well. With 15 plus pool tables you don't have to wait too long to play. The bar drinks are well pored and the bartenders are friendly and talkative. As for the food the appetizers are pretty good. What I was shocked about was just how great their catered BBQ was. It was freaking fantastic! The ribs, brisket and pulled pork all were moist and had great flavors. The corn bread was actually some of the best I ever had. Overall my cumulative visits to Main Event have always been a fun experience and I look forward to going back. read more

Went with some friends and it's the first time I've been to this particular location. Very clean, the drinks were good and my food came out correctly and hot. Good choice of music being played too! Came here on a Sunday to have some time with the kids. It was a ton of fun. We bowled, did arcade and also laser tag. So why do I give it 3 stars? It was just super expensive. Bowling was $7.99 a head for unlimited games but they also charge $5 per shoe rental making a family of 3 cost $36. We paid for the $7.99 each too for laser tag. We got a family share platter of dip, wings and cheese curds for $20.....this was outrageous as the size of the said platter was very small. Not to mention, the quality of it was far disappointing. You guys need to make your entryway better. There's only 2 entryways, and they are hidden, you cant "cut through" parking lots to get there either. That being said, made my date late. & it was first date. I came here and they were busy but my date and I went to the bar. Their drinks are okay but the food was good. I got chicken tenders. Their coleslaw was even good and coleslaw is usually nasty!! I was able to play about 5 games for $9 which is good! They were fun. But I gave this place 5 stars cause I havent been on a date in so long, a good one at least, and this was just perfect. He lost his wallet from changing a flat tire on his way to see me, so all he had was spare change & we were still able to enjoy ourselves!!! I was in town visiting family and we decided to take my nephew out for a good time ... he love games! Main Event has a great selection for kids and adults of all ages. We were there on a Monday night and ran into the Monday Night Madness Deal, which starts at 4pm and you get to choose one of 3 things for around $10 a person - unlimited games, all you can play, or a $20 food & fun card. We started with the games. My nephew found the big star wars video game and I found the DDR - we both had a blast. A couple of hours later we decided to try the bowling with all the family. Even though none of us bowled a perfect score we had a great time. We got hungry when we were bowling and they have table/lane food service so we ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, which ended up being pretty good! This location was clean and the staff was friendly. After this experience at Main Event I would say I am a fan of it! I would come back to take advantage of the specials they offer. read more

If only I lived here when I was 16. This is a big facility that houses ten-pin bowling, pool tables, table shuffleboard, arcade games, a bar, and a great laser-tag arena. It's big, airy, open, clean and new. If this place were in Boston, where I'm from, it'd be 1/3rd of the size and smell like old socks. This place is great. And CHEAP: For $15 you can do unlimited bowling, unlimited pool tables and unlimited laser tag. CRAZY. SO CHEAP. If I were 16 again I'd waste all my money from caddying on a place like this!!! This is the perfect place for groups and kids. We went at 5:30pm on a Friday night so it was packed but we got a lane in 30 minutes. I have been to this location several times but it appears they have revamped the experience. For example now they have a hostess that takes you to your bowling lane to explained the rules and how the screen works. We didn't have to add our names to the scoreboard for bowling they were already pre-populated, which was nice. Bowling can be pretty expensive during peak hours and days but I thought for a group of 6 the price was pretty reasonable. Just went here last night. Bowling was fun. A few complaints. The staff and manager..maybe her name was Angel...super unhappy, unpleasant and rude. I can't remember the girl's name who first checked us in..Lezania or something, but my advice would be to smile. People come here to spend their hard earned money and enjoy family time so the least the staff can do is smile or try to be happy. It's a new year...be thankful. Another minor issue is that the food staff was fully aware their soda machine was not working and still handed out flat sodas. We had to dump it all and have it replaced at the bar with fizzy soda. Pepperoni pizza averages one piece of pepperoni per slice on very oily pizza. Bathrooms are clean, and picking your seat is good (I think D and farther back have better sight lines).
