This is THE BEST axe throwing venue I've been too! Really nice open clean area! This place keeps their axe throwing targets nice & clean! The wood was one of the best! It's not all messed up & chipped at like others. Also, it was a little easier where you don't feel defeated because the wood is soft because of the water they spray on. One of the workers told me that this is an official tournament size and distance for axe throwing. They are part of the WATL league as well! They have a GREAT variety of craft beer & drinks as well! I really enjoyed the Jack Daniels Downhome Punch. My favorite thing is that they have "ninja stars" you can throw at the bullseye too! These were really fun to throw too! It was our first time axe throwing so we were a bit nervous, but the instructor showed us exactly how to throw it. He even switched out an axe to get the right "fit." They do a fantastic job at teaching you and making you feel comfortable wielding an axe! I went here for my friend's birthday as a private event and it was great! Never knew this place was so close to home and now I would go back with my mom, dad, and maybe my brother! I've never done this before and the kind and patient lady who ran us through all the straightforward safety procedures, how to hold the axe, the proper stance, and the points for scores was really helpful and made my first time experience fun and enjoyable! Really appreciate her and the whole team that works there. Love the dog photos that are often shown on the screens too, and the funny dog sign when you first walk in, as a dog lover, volunteer, and have my family dog, it made me feel right at home. Also really appreciate the nice little candle in the bathroom that smelled good, how clean it was, and the fact they had Mrs. Meyer's hand soup since I have sensitive skin and use this at home! There is much to say about this place, it is a spacious hobbyist and sports venue where beginners to professionals can play. Brendan, Alison and Justin are fun, knowledgeable and fantastic coaches who will do everything in their power to help coach new beginners and even offer advice and helpful tips to the most advanced that are honing their skill. For many who aren't aware, there is a professional league, the World Axe Throwing League which begins at the local level, to which this venue is one of many that hosts leagues. Leagues are open to everyone from young to old, new to advanced, and the local winner tends to move up. It's a fantastic way to not only grow and learn the sport but to meet various people who share a similar love and hobby, and to have amazing fun. Though not a bar or restaurant they do offer a variety of snacks and drinks. They also have memberships which are worth it, in my estimation. The membership, likely for the most dedicated, is the monthly for $75 and you will have unlimited days and times to come and practice at no cost toward you. Bearing in mind, if you participate in a league, you have to pay to participate in the league regardless of membership standing-however you get a discount if you have a membership. They also have axes you may buy if you choose to, oftentimes the same price as the WATL website offers. I will always recommend this place, the people here make me feel right at home and as a lover of target sports, this is one of the best venues I can find that offers satisfaction in playing a good clean sport. read more

Great place to meet up with old friends. This place is real chill and laid back. Now BYOB. The staff is top notch and offer training to newbies. The throwing lanes are very nice and clean and they wet the boards for you at start. We even had some regulars teach us how to keep score and play different type of throwing games. I took my family here to celebrate our son's leaving for college. The manager was amazing! He not only gave each of us personal instruction, but he was completely personable and patient with every member of the 6 members of our family [some as young as ten] who came to throw axes! They had drinks, too! Great beer and ale for the adults, and pop and chips for the kids! Last 15 minutes of our time, he broke out Ninja stars and Batarangs- my boys had a blast! Went here with my wife and sister inlaw/brother in law and their 2 kids to do something new on a Saturday night. I had been axe-throwing a few times but it was the first time for the rest of us. Place wasnt that busy when we got there. It was a good sized place with about 7-8 throwing areas/lanes with 2 boards on each area/lane. Before arriving, we had booked online and filled out waiver forms through a link that was very easy to do. Once we arrived, the check-in process was very quick and our axe expert Toby gave us short throwing lessons for each of us and gave some safety guidelines. The axe throwing was great and a lot of fun as it is usually at any axe-throwing place but what really set this experience apart was the additional help that Toby and the other axe expert working (didn't get his name) gave to my nephew (who was 12). He had a little trouble in the beginning but they took him aside to an empty lane to give him extra pointers to make sure that he had a great experience. He was throwing great after that and seemed to really be enjoying it. And as a bonus, Toby broguht out some ninja starts, batarangs, and playing cards to throw as well near the end of our time. Those are just badass to throw. While this experience may have had something to do with it not being so busy there so that the axe experts could give more attention to the customers, it really allowed our group to enjoy ourselves more that night especially since it was the first time for most of us. My wife and I walked in on a Saturday night and we were made to feel so at home by Alison right when we walked in the door. She showed us the ropes and we got down to it. They also let us throw metal playing cards, throwing stars, and Batman-shaped throwing knives. This was a date night for my wife's birthday and our first time to throw.
