Nice and clean well- maintained lanes, which do present some challenges. Not sure if bowling was a "thing" for me, on my first visit I used a house ball and rented shoes. Due to my experiences at FBL, I've developed a deep passion for the sport of bowling. I now own two custom-made bowling balls and two pairs of bowling shoes. I've learned I have a lot to learn. My intentions are to develop my game at FBL. There is a great pro-shop on the premises. Don't let the size of the shop fool you. The crew, eager to help, is really nice and easy- going. In closing. I consider Forum Bowling Lanes, my "home lanes."

They looked spotless and the seating area felt acceptably clean. I didn't use the provided balls, but they looked like the standard casual-player ones that don't spin easily. Their usual prices are also okay for a Saturday before 6pm -- $20 per lane per hour and $5 for shoe rentals. Check their Facebook for occasional deals. I recommend grabbing 3 of your buddies to split the cost. All in all, a solid bowling alley. It gets the job done for a fun night out.

We went up yesterday for my wife's birthday, but it was packed so we figured we weren't going to be…read moreable to bowl. But, the nice lady at the desk with the radio voice let us get on the list and we were bowling within 5 minutes. I went to grab some food for my twins at at the food station and the lady was really short with us. She really didn't seem like she enjoyed her job. I do the same job she does bright and early in the morning everyday so I know it's a tough job, being in customer service. But, she seems jaded and tired of her job. She was very upset when I wrote how horrible her attitude was on the receipt and began to tell me how she was going to cook my food horrible, mind you the food was for my children, not me. Then she proceeded to tell me I could come back there and do the job for her if I wanted to. Then she yelled at me the whole time I was walking away. But, I didn't pay her any mind. The food was actually pretty good from what the children said. I even tried it. My son did mention that the fries were over salty. Then I saw her again when I went to tell the nice lady at the desk they lane 1 and 2's ball had gotten stuck. The nice lady told me she was having it fixed. But, as I turned to walk away the kitchen lady still proceeded to try and start and argument, mentioning again how I said she was horrible. It wasn't the fact that she was short with us, it was more of her rushing me through. I mean, there was nobody behind us, no line at all, but she actually acted like she hated even being there and that she thought she could say or do anything with no consequences at all. Which is pretty funny to me considering I'm sure you have had complaints on her before with that attitude and she probably feels like because she's been there awhile that nothing is going to happen to her. But, I really think she should find a job that she enjoys because she can cook well. She can obviously multitask considering how busy it was. It was just the horrible attitude for me and the fact that she didn't even realize that she had one. She was oblivious to the fact she does have a bad one and very upset that I even mentioned it. But, I usually tell someone how I feel . I tell the truth no matter what and if you can't handle the heat,PLEASE get out of the kitchen and let someone else who will enjoy it more have a chance at that job. It's a nice job from what I can see and she was making great tips. I even sent my boy back with a tip for her because he enjoyed the food and being that I'm in the service industry, I believe in karma and I know we have our days. But, I could tell from her that her behavior is a normal thing for her. Other than that we had a great time and everything was chill and clean. The lady at the bar was super sweet too. I don't drink, but I did get a Valentine's Day basket from her for my wife. Don't worry we'll be back! :)

Our only complaints, some staff are unable to answer our questions & point us to the website, which wasn't able to answer our question to start with... for example, one of the main reasons we joined, after visiting in person, was the summer camp. We went home to join & register online, as was suggested by staff (versus registering in person at the facility), to find out the summer camps were already full. You can't tell that the camps are full online, until you've already purchased a membership. Staff should have had knowledge of camps being at full capacity & been able to tell us that information during our tour of the facility. A plus for us, the family swim hours, swim lessons, & family changing areas. We also love the indoor walking track.

I overall recommend this place especially for the group fit. While the selection isn't very diverse, consistently I can expect yoga, Pilates, and CrossFit. From time to time there's other classes, but having group fit is something I really enjoy. The kids programs are overall great. The staff that oversee it are friendly and I can tell they actually enjoy kids. I don't see staff on their phones, and they typically know my kids' names before I sign them in. They're going through more changes with their kids stuff, but overall after myself and other parents voiced our concerns they seemed to take our opinion into consideration after much debate. Overall, it's a good facility and I hope they continue to find ways to be inclusive of all their members, and not just the gym bros.

I really couldn't decide if this needed to be a two Star or three Star review. I went with two…read morebecause I can increase if needed. I took my six-year-old who's playing his first season of Coach pitch. I wanted to get him fired up about the season. He's never been to the batting cages and he's never had a ball pitched to him. He's always been on the fence about baseball. It's a rather slow game for the little ones and it's hard for them to stay excited about it. His first season of tee ball he decided to pick flowers in the outfield for his teammates. I want him to have fun playing the game like I did as a kid. I'm not all into it because he's six. I don't know all the terminology or the best equipment and all that good stuff. D-bat has some really high-end, good quality equipment. My son needs a helmet and I didn't really have a lot of luck at Academy when I tried to get him one there. I was hoping I would be able to get some help at the baseball pro shop at D-bat. I don't really think they're interested in helping people with the purchase of high dollar equipment at D-bat. I didn't see the helmets that were hanging well out of reach, which makes sense. So I asked if they had helmets and the young lady behind the counter looked at me as though I was 10 kinds of stupid. Granted it wasn't the warmest welcome when I called them earlier in the day or when I first walked in the door. Maybe I'm being unrealistic but when someone ask about baseball helmets in a store where they sell baseball helmets it wouldn't hurt to offer a little customer service and act as though you might be some kind of interested in helping people get what they need to play the game as best as they can and enjoy it. I know Yelp probably isn't the best place to look at reviews for batting cages but... All the other D-bat locations have better reviews than this Arlington location. Maybe next time I wanna take my son to the batting cages I'll drive past the Arlington and continue down to Mansfield. Even with the crazy high gas prices. I really don't like being this negative, but this location comes across is some kind of click or something. I guess I'm not in the know and they don't need my business.
