Was there during the day on a Saturday afternoon. Just came here for a drink. It was a big spacious area with some games. Enjoyed a cocktail and a beer. Didn't do axe throwing but did seem fun.

Really fun!! I mean, I sucked but that's irrelevant lol. Simple set up, nice staff, great drinks - what more can you ask for? Oh...the food isn't great lol. Gives me Lunchable vibes... But the good thing is they are very close to many good restaurants in Trinity Groves :)

This review is for the bar inside Lone Star Axe Throwing. Friday evening, about 8:00 or so, March 31, 2023. We were out and about in Dallas, but didn't really know where to go, so searched for bars on Google Maps, and came up with 404 Rattler Bar. From the pictures, it appeared to be a neat little bar. When we arrived, we found ourselves in Lone Star Axe Throwing. The axe throwing scheduler guy called us over, and we explained that we didn't realize this is what the place would be, could we just go have a drink at the bar. Of course you can! And he proceeded to point out the myriad of free games we could play while on premise. So over to the bar we went. We were the only people seated there. They had a drink menu, which we took a look at, but the bartender had no interest whatsoever in acknowledging us. A good number of minutes later, I asked the bartender if he had any rye. "I've just got Sazerac." "Great. Can you make me a Manhattan with that?" "Technically, no. Rye doesn't go in a Manhattan." And he started getting together ingredients with sighs and eye rolls. I stopped him and told him I'd take a pass, and we quietly left to some really cool outdoor thing down the street. In retrospect, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't sorely mistaken after a solid four decades of cocktail consumption. So to the International Bartender's Association website I went. A Manhattan is: 50 ml rye whiskey 20 ml Sweet Red Vermouth 1 dash Angostura Bitters Pour over ice, stir, strain. Garnish with a cocktail cherry. Photo attached to ensure I'm not making this up. So to pretentious, rude, ruh-heally didn't want us there bartender dude, you got your wish. You didn't have to deal with us, and you won't ever again. As to the axe throwing. That looked fun, and the ten or so people in the place on a Friday night seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Super cute place for a date. Enough time to talk, dance and throw axes! Great location and drinks. We had a very cool bartender who also made the night. Brenda our trainer was also very nice and polite.

I really like this spot. The staff is cool and helpful with the best ways to throw the axe. It's more challenging than it looks.

We had the Jumbo Shrimp Seafood Boil, traditional and Mexico City micheladas with Pacifico, and finished with the crème brûlée. Every dish was excellent. Our waiter, Michael, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He made sure our drinks were to our liking and even offered to remake them if needed. Chef Roger also stopped by our table personally to check on us and make sure everything was good. The restaurant was very clean, the ambiance was great, and the service was outstanding. It honestly made me a little sad to see it so quiet because places with good food, great people, and excellent hospitality deserve to be busy. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.

The apps were the Aguachile which was the better of the two, and the other were the crab croquettes which were packed with crab but lacked in flavor. Of the entrees the blacked catfish was the better one. The only issue was the huge portion of mashed potatoes which were reminiscent of powered mash, but the catfish itself was outstanding. On the other side I've never had a lobster roll before but this genuinely has no flavor and has experienced some serious shrinkflation when compared to other pictures here on yelp of it. The fries were great though. The dessert also was nothing memorable and was a very basic bread pudding that could've been warmer. Overall, I was not impressed by Pesca as the reviews may have led me to believe, but it is still a solid place in trinity groves that deserves be more attention.

We made our reservation about a month in advance and had no issues at all with booking. The process was quick and easy. Leading up to our reservation, however, there was some confusion regarding the menu being served during our reserved time. After calling ahead, we were told there would be a children's menu available and that we could order from either the brunch or dinner menu. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we found that only the brunch menu was available. Since this was our first visit, several of us had already looked through the online menus and picked out dinner items we wanted to try, so it was disappointing to have to pivot, especially for those in our group who aren't really breakfast food people. Thankfully, we were still able to find dishes everyone enjoyed, and the food itself was exceptional. Standouts for our table included the dip (definitely add the crab!), the steak and eggs, and the Nashville chicken sandwich. We also ordered the oxtail hash, but it was a little too spicy for our mom due to the jerk seasoning, which wasn't clearly advertised on the menu. Thankfully, the issue was addressed quickly and professionally. The true highlight of our experience was the service. From the hostess to servers simply passing by our table, everyone was warm and friendly. Our server, Cooper, was absolutely fantastic. His smile, energy, and sense of urgency had us laughing because he practically ran to grab whatever we needed, yet never missed a beat. We had a few feral children in our group, and he handled them with so much patience and kindness, even entertaining their off-the-wall requests. It was also great seeing the manager actively walking the floor and checking on tables throughout service. This was our first visit, but based on the food and especially the hospitality, we will definitely be back, next time for dinner service!

It was beautifully presented and packed with flavor, with every item cooked to perfection. From savory bites of crispy fried chicken wings to the perfect brunch pairings of thick cut bacon, juicy sausage links, soft scrambled eggs to perfectly sweetened french toast and waffles, everything felt thoughtfully prepared and elevated beyond the typical brunch experience. What really made the experience unforgettable was the ambiance. Windsome Prime has an elevated, moody vibe that feels both luxurious and inviting, even when the Texas Sun is shining through the big windows! The lighting, décor, and overall atmosphere create the perfect setting for a relaxed yet upscale brunch dining experience. A special shoutout to our server, Keavin, who made the experience even better. He was incredibly friendly, attentive to our needs, and consistently checked in to ensure we were satisfied throughout the meal. His excellent service added a personal touch that made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. Whether you're catching up with friends or celebrating something special, Windsome Prime delivers on both exceptional food and atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back, when I'm in the area!

The mimosa flight was a nice touch, and they make a killer espresso martini. Huge bonus points for the live jazz -- it really elevated the whole brunch experience. The staff was warm and attentive, making you feel right at home. Their specialty coffees are a must-try--don't miss the Billie Holiday (lavender/honey) or the Ella Fitzgerald. One quick tip for the minimalist eater: if you visit during weekend brunch, the kitchen pivots to a heavy, savory menu. You won't find simple pastries or basic toast options during these hours, as even their avocado toast is a massive, fully-loaded meal. Which is a miss for me. These are true mixologist and can make anything but we decided to work through the cocktail menu. My fav drink of the night was my Match Mucho, never had anything like it, but it grew on me with each sip. These are not guzzling drinks, definitely sip and savor. I didn't like all of the drinks (couldn't get halfway through the Red Headed Oaxacan), but I like the variety and that my palate was challenged. Flavors of all the cocktails were complex with many layers. And the vibe of this place was adult, and low-key. Serious cocktail connoisseurs need to check this place out! (Note: Their focus is cocktails, limited snack menu in the form of cheese and meat charcuterie board options)

No. But what has us coming back is their consistency and attention to detail. The space is gorgeous and each room brings a different vibe to the dining experience. We were sat in the darkest of the rooms that was very romantic, and thankfully the music wasn't too loud. When we were seated we found a frame on the table holding a message congratulations us on our anniversary, with our names included. It was very sweet! Our server was prompt, attentive, and very charming. She asked us questions about ourselves and also gave great recommendations throughout the night. The drinks were good! However, the Passionate Kiss started to taste very chemical forward the longer it sat (I'm a slow drinker) so I only finished half of it. Not sure if it was because of the print on the foam originally or what, but it wasn't pleasant. I got the scallops and loved them, especially since I was able to try their orzo with it that normally comes with the salmon instead. The scallops were tender and the flavor was rich and well balanced with the rest of the plate. My boyfriend loved his chops and devoured everything. He also got the Potatoes Au Gratin and couldn't get enough. They were very rich and had great flavor. I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I wish I could whip butter like that at home. Towards the end they brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to cheers with, and a complimentary dessert (the Samoa sundae). We also ordered the Chocolate Decadence which was incredibly good. The goal is to come back next year, and plenty of times before that as well. Thanks to the Evelyn team for such a great dinner!
