Was there during the day on a Saturday afternoon. Just came here for a drink. It was a big spacious area with some games. Enjoyed a cocktail and a beer. Didn't do axe throwing but did seem fun.

Really fun!! I mean, I sucked but that's irrelevant lol. Simple set up, nice staff, great drinks - what more can you ask for? Oh...the food isn't great lol. Gives me Lunchable vibes... But the good thing is they are very close to many good restaurants in Trinity Groves :)

This review is for the bar inside Lone Star Axe Throwing. Friday evening, about 8:00 or so, March 31, 2023. We were out and about in Dallas, but didn't really know where to go, so searched for bars on Google Maps, and came up with 404 Rattler Bar. From the pictures, it appeared to be a neat little bar. When we arrived, we found ourselves in Lone Star Axe Throwing. The axe throwing scheduler guy called us over, and we explained that we didn't realize this is what the place would be, could we just go have a drink at the bar. Of course you can! And he proceeded to point out the myriad of free games we could play while on premise. So over to the bar we went. We were the only people seated there. They had a drink menu, which we took a look at, but the bartender had no interest whatsoever in acknowledging us. A good number of minutes later, I asked the bartender if he had any rye. "I've just got Sazerac." "Great. Can you make me a Manhattan with that?" "Technically, no. Rye doesn't go in a Manhattan." And he started getting together ingredients with sighs and eye rolls. I stopped him and told him I'd take a pass, and we quietly left to some really cool outdoor thing down the street. In retrospect, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't sorely mistaken after a solid four decades of cocktail consumption. So to the International Bartender's Association website I went. A Manhattan is: 50 ml rye whiskey 20 ml Sweet Red Vermouth 1 dash Angostura Bitters Pour over ice, stir, strain. Garnish with a cocktail cherry. Photo attached to ensure I'm not making this up. So to pretentious, rude, ruh-heally didn't want us there bartender dude, you got your wish. You didn't have to deal with us, and you won't ever again. As to the axe throwing. That looked fun, and the ten or so people in the place on a Friday night seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Super cute place for a date. Enough time to talk, dance and throw axes! Great location and drinks. We had a very cool bartender who also made the night. Brenda our trainer was also very nice and polite.

I really like this spot. The staff is cool and helpful with the best ways to throw the axe. It's more challenging than it looks.

I've been to Pesca a few times and I'm very impressed. The space is very open and consists of a few booths plus several table/chair combos. On all of my visits, the staff is always super friendly and very knowledgeable of the standard menu plus any specials. Add to it, they have a full bar with several custom drinks which the staff recommend. On my most recent visit, I went for dinner and throughly enjoyed the Blackened Catfish & Crab entree which has easily become my favorite here. It comes with a catfish filet, crab on top and served in a lemon butter sauce. It comes with both asparagus and a garlic mash...simply delicious!! That said, every thing I've had here has been super tasty!! Pesca does have a weekend brunch menu which I still need to try. If you have not visited yet, what are you waiting for. Whether it's for a special occasion or just dropping in for a great meal, Pesca Coastal Classics should be on your list.

Chef Roger also stopped by our table personally to check on us and make sure everything was good. The restaurant was very clean, the ambiance was great, and the service was outstanding. It honestly made me a little sad to see it so quiet because places with good food, great people, and excellent hospitality deserve to be busy. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.

I ordered the vegan portobello steak w/ pineapple, potatoes and broccolini - so yummy and surprisingly filling! Love that they have three vegan options on their menu! The birthday cake and sign was a sweet touch. The birthday cake is absolutely delicious, not too sweet with a cream cheese frosting. I was visiting my family in the Dallas area for my birthday and my healing from cancer. Due to losing all my hair throughout chemo treatment's, I wear caps or scarves. Last night, I was wearing a black baseball styled cap with the word Faith on it. Upon entering the restaurant, I was told I would have to remove my cap for dinner. I asked if there was any way they could make an exception for someone who had been in treatment from cancer and was embarrassed about her hair loss. The question was asked to all of the higher-ups and although the gentleman who came to be the bearer of bad news was very kind and said he understood because his mom had gone through chemo as well. He didn't have the final say and they said no. He asked if I had a scarf or some other type of hat and I told him no I was visiting from California. We picked this restaurant because it was restaurant week and it was good. Needless to say, I had to check my and compose myself to keep from crying as they ushered me through the restaurant with my bald head exposed. If I had not been with a party and had my own car, I would've left however I sucked it up. We ordered from the special menu and they had three courses. We actually tried almost all of them between the six of us. I had the crab beignets, which I had never heard of, and they were absolutely delectable unelected the ribeye with potatoes. The potatoes were nothing to write home about they were just red potatoes, so I didn't really eat much of them. But the ribeye... was tender and juicy and flavorful and it didn't need any steak sauce, because its juices were its own sauce. Finally, the warm buttered rum cake with a scoop of ice cream was fire and on point to close with. I did notice that they were not consistent with plating because my ice cream was melting and I did notice have the same caramel design or fruit garnish as some in my party. Maybe the Chef was in a rush but that does affect the look. My/Our amazing server did ask at the beginning of the meal if anyone was celebrating anything. My niece told him my birthday so at the end, he brought me a lite happy birthday sign and their special birthday cake, which was Red Velvet. It was moist and just the right amount of sweet. Bathrooms were clean, but they didn't have any toilet seat covers. I gave it a four because of the treatment at the door. :-(
