This was my first time busing Free Play in Dallas (I've been to the Richardson location a few times). Obviously they raised their admission prices ($12/person) but you can play as many games as you want. Of course there was a caveat, a lot of the games we wanted to play were either broken or had components that weren't properly working. (ie Guitar Hero game had one guitar working and the a button was broken, a pinball game was not calibrated correctly, a racing game had a pink monitor [sign it was about to go out]). Not sure if it was worth $12/person when the games we were most excited to play weren't in proper working condition. I don't remember the Free Play in Richardson having this issue. First stop was the bar and the drinks were pretty good & decently priced. Make sure to check out their menu, they have different specials each day of the week! The bartenders were attentive and super nice. Great customer service. I personally didn't order any food but our friend in our party ordered the vegan sandwich and she said it was delicious! Ambiance was pretty cool! It was definitely a fun arcade to go to.

Great place to enjoy pinball and video games for one low price. You can also enjoy food and drinks as well. Great for friends, dates or going solo. Parking is hard to find on weekends so try to go early or expect to pay 10 dollars for parking. It stays open until 2am so alot of time to enjoy yourself.

This is my second visit to a free play location and it didn't disappoint. I'm so glad I have one so close to home now. This arcade is HUGE! So many vintage games, Japanese games, some rare games and pinball machines! I arrived at 11am on a Saturday and pretty much had the entire pinball section to myself for about two hours. There may have been 25 people total in the arcade during that time. I was surprised since it was a Saturday. I also got in for half price since I arrived during the first hour. Not sure if that's just a weekend thing or also during the week. I tried the Cuban sandwich and it was pretty good!! A great selection of beers, ciders, sours and cocktails. The service was great. The staff was so friendly and only took about 10 mins to get my order. There are tons of tables and high tops to sit at while you enjoy your food/drinks. During my time there the staff was wiping down tables and games. Awesome experience and definitely can't wait to go back. Hoping for pinball tournaments to start at this location soon.

We love this addition to west Dallas! Admission is $12 per adult and have a lot of drink and food options at the bar (however we did not buy food to try so not sure how great it is). There are over 100 games to choose from- lots of variety for different interests. Okay amount of 2 player games- a lot of them similar. They have a whole section for just pinball machines. The upside and downside is that it is family friendly- we went on a night during spring break and there were kids running EVERYWHERE. (So I'm not sure if it's this way all the time or just when school is out) Many kids interrupting and jumping onto our game as we were playing, throwing ski balls and basketballs all over, and screaming. So I could see this being great to bring your kids and family too, however when you are just trying to have an adult night away it wasn't ideal. They do have an above 18 years old after 9 pm rule which was great. It felt so much quieter and more enjoyable when it was adults only Lots of parking across the street from which makes it easy to get to. There are places to sit and eat and there are stools around if you want to sit while playing the game. Music is loud so it fell like we were yelling at each other at times, but after all of the kids left it was more attainable Fun spot for a date night, just have good expectations that it's not just adults.

This place is EVERYTHING! How can you go wrong with an arcade where you a low price and can play as long as they are open? The service was amazing, and so was the ambiance. Run don't walk to check this place out!

Fun place. Good for grown ups too. Food is good about over priced but that's to be expected. There aren't a lot of tables.

She asked if we wanted to order anything. I said I was curious about the seafood chowder. She said it is really good, so I ordered just a cup. Just to try it out. OMG! It was one of the best chowders I have ever had. It had everything wonderful in it. Potatoes, carrots minced, cod chunks, shrimp chunks, salmon chunks, and other vegetables. Also, in the $5.00 cup, it also had a mussel. All I can say is the next time we're there, I'm ordering a bowl as my meal! I've also tried their French onion soup and it's excellent. Our granddaughter orders the chicken tenders. They are so good that I would bet it would be very hard to find a place that served them better. They are SO good. Prices are extremely reasonable. The Old Monk is the place to be for a really good, satisfying meal. Plus their happy hour is fantastic.

Dark, noisy pub atmosphere inside. All small round counter-height and 4-top square tables inside were occupied. Although they had misters on over the patio tables; it was too hot (100F+) to sit on those outdoor tables. Plenty of small outdoor tables unoccupied at 6:30 pm. No host/hostess was present but a couple of waitresses came to start us with drinks. Draft and other beer, wine and alcohol choices were available. Guinness of course. All 3 of us ordered the fish (cod) and chips plate for our dinners. The 2 piece plate $14, the 3 piece plate $17. The large plank fries ( chips) were great. They were cooked crisp and served hot. Excellent, beer-battered and generous-sized, chunky cod pieces. Best fish n chips ever! I didn't check out the restroom. Trivia night was being played. The microphone was difficult to discern. Plenty of ambient noise from the tables and bar stools made it practically impossible to hear the conversations at our small and intimate table. I will return (with earplugs) perhaps to try their Kuby's sourced German plate. Definitely will be back when I crave an excellent fish n chips.

Pulled up to a parking lot in Bishop Arts District which is a good thing in that neighborhood because parking is a beast. I arrived before my group so I could not get a seat started. I waited in the car for 30min for my group to arrive. Once they did, we were seated. There staff were nice and gave us menus while we waited and we took photos in their entrance with the bush wall with angel wings. Once seated inside near the patio, we placed our order. We took note of the mandatory 18% gratuity on all groups of 5 or more at the top of the menus. Our waitress seemed new and had not tried much so she couldn't make recommendations. Our drinks came out first and the food in an appropriate time after. like I said, the drinks and food were delicious and the star of the show! The DJ played good music and definitely had us engaged. The building was up to code but gave me historic vibes were they didn't want to or can't make full renovations but it's a bar/grill and looks like a man decorated and not an interior designer. Fun place, clean, but also needs a professional cleaner to come in once a month to spruce up the place.

We did show up maybe 1.5ish hours before the game and the whole place was packed, but I didn't mind sticking around even in the heat because they have a very nicely shaded outdoor patio area. This is a great spot to watch any of the FIFA games-- also came back here for the Norway game yesterday and had just as good of a time like the last. They have TVs everywhere inside (both floors) and a huge TV outside as well. The restrooms are clean. They have a lot so that helps especially when it's there's a lot of people-- hate going to places with ONE bathroom. A bunch of seating too- lots of high tops upstairs/downstairs, bunch of tables outside & they have a lot of extra chairs. Service is great. Everyone always checks in to ask how everything's going and drinks/ food don't take too long to come out. I do LOVE their flatbreads. I've tried several flatbreads and they are all super tasty and not too expensive. I did appreciate that when Mexico scored during that first game, the servers brought out a bunch of shots free for everyone to celebrate! I thought that was a nice touch since other bars I have been to in the area are not as thoughtful or organized enough to host a lot of people during the World Cup! Sweet touch. Will obviously be back!

We started at the bar as our reserved table wasn't ready yet. My husband already knew what beer he wanted but I was on the fence. I decided to try one of the frozen cocktails, but one was a little too sour and the other was a bit too sweet. The bartender suggested mixing the two together into what they called a "Fraddy," and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful, which is something that seems harder and harder to find these days. They have TVs throughout the restaurant, making it a great place to catch a game, and we especially enjoyed watching the World Cup there. The outdoor patio is spacious and inviting, and I also appreciated that they accept reservations. Bella was an outstanding server who made excellent recommendations for our meal. The pizza was very tasty, although it was slightly undercooked for our preference. We also ordered a small Caesar salad, which was good but a little smaller than expected, so we will definitely order the large next time. Overall, we had a great experience and will absolutely be back!
