Came for the free play tuesdays, walked in asked about the specials and is told about the $3 Jell-O shots and $10 frozen, which were 8 oz. Got two frozen and was asked to open or close the tab and I chose to close of course, not knowing that the free play was only valid with an open tab. 5 minutes later I was approached by the bar back that told us that we could get a free gameplay card from the bartender. When approaching the bartender about the free gameplay, this is when she then explained that the free gameplay is ONLY when you have an open tab, not when I was first ordering the drinks. NO WONDER THIS ESTABLISHMENT is empty besides the friends that they give discounted drinks and games to. It seems like a setup and a get rich scheme that's not working. Do better barcadia

I got ID'ed several times, I think they can tell I'm mormon. Anyway I liked these vibes too. Skeeball went crazy. Watched my friend's British boyfriend play it for the first time in his life.

Old school meets new school at Barcadia. From Gen Z, to Baby Boomers, all can be found having a great time, and lively conversations here. Definitely in need of a revamp, which I hear is coming soon, however it will maintain its original charm, with a few upscale perks. Although smaller than some other arcade spots in town the affordable games, food and cocktails along with live music on certain nights makes it an excellent option. If you're an outdoor person they offer seating for you as well. Dallas can be quite warm day or night, and you'll feel it, if they have the garage doors open to the patio, so dress accordingly. You'll enjoy the staff who go out of their way to make every guest feel at home. Parking can be tricky in the area if their lot is full. I'm sure my rating will go up after the remodel, however it's worth enjoying now. You just might run into me. XOXO LORENZO!

I recently visited here for a work Happy Hour event. This place has potential to be a fun kick back space, however I wouldn't lose sleep if I never returned. Pros: The appetizers we had were yummy (hummus, queso, chips and salsa, and pizza.. friend had wings). Also, all of the games were free, I'm not sure if that was the case because this was an organized event or if that's the usual. Cons: The service from the bartenders was TRASH. I asked one bartender what cocktail she'd recommend to drink and her response "whatever you want". I asked another bartender if there was a happy hour menu and her response "just what's on the menu" in a rude voice. I eventually settled for a margarita - the drink was disgusting and extremely small for the price, I received a 5oz drink for $14 (before tax and gratuity).

I decided to join some friends for tacos and tequila on a Tuesday plus they had karaoke going on! It was so much fun!! Plus they had arcade games to play and they were so also fun to play too!!! The tacos are tasty and cheap--$2.00 street tacos and regular ones are $4.50 so tasty plus lots of meat!

Amazing service with the best burger in town. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu Bartenders will literally make anything you want and won't be disappointed. Free game play on Wednesdays too. Favorite place to be at on Knox/Henderson.

Cool atmosphere with all the games. Its a different type of night out -- fun to switch it up every once in a while. Drinks seem pricey and an interesting crowd -- good spot if the other neighborhood bars are too busy.

We had a ton of fun visiting this retro arcade site as part of our pub crawl nearby: Did not have food this time but beers variety good. The games appeared to have changed - so I only tried the basketball and skeeball.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

At first, we assumed the noise was just initial excitement and would settle after a few minutes. The parents of the birthday girl were seated nearby, and when the mother got up, we expected she might ask the girls to lower their volume. Unfortunately, the opposite happened--she brought the group out into the main dining room for photos, where the noise level became even more disruptive. Another couple seated near us--at what is typically a very desirable table--lasted no more than five minutes before asking to be moved outside. Shortly after, a manager approached the private room. We anticipated they would address the noise, but instead, they greeted the party warmly and thanked them for being there, without making any effort to manage the disruption. After so many consistently great experiences, it was honestly shocking. We truly felt as though we were being punked. My boyfriend and I both have children and enjoy bringing them to nice restaurants, but part of that experience includes ensuring they understand and respect the environment. When that standard isn't upheld--especially with no support from management--it significantly detracts from the experience for everyone else.
