Came here spur of the moment on a Sunday night with some family and friends who were in town and had a great time! I first want to thank the security at the door because he was sure to enforce the rules of the establishment but he did so in such a kind manner. He wasn't aggressive or rude like most bar security workers are. This is already a rarity in itself. When you enter, the place is straightforward. Pretty small, not crowded, but there were maybe 20 of us there and each party had a comfortable amount of space for their group. There were maybe 8 different arcade games and a few pool tables, plus some TVs on two of the walls. The music is good (hip hop & rap), not too loud, and I believe there was a jukebox in case you had some special requests. What I loved most was the price point. I think I spent $13 for over 200 tokens, which allowed me to play at least 5 or 6 games. We especially had fun playing basketball and trying to reach the high score on the punching bag. This card is reloadable btw. Lastly, I only ordered a soda, but the bartender was so sweet and we had a great conversation about our love for Tokyo! I think this place is a simple good time. I'm reaching out regarding an experience at Barcadia Dallas on Sunday night. A member of my party was denied entry specifically because he was wearing a plain white crew-neck T-shirt. I called the establishment the following day to clarify the dress-code policy and was initially told there is no dress code. When I specifically asked about white T-shirts, I was then told that white tees are prohibited on Fridays and Saturdays. I explained that our visit occurred on Sunday, and the employee stated that he mainly works weekdays and could not explain the discrepancy. This place is okay. The games were a bit expensive, and the food was just okay, definitely not worth the 25% AUTOMATIC TIP. The server didn't even let us know, so we all tipped on top of the automatic gratuity! So I gave approximately 50% worth in tips. For that reason alone, I haven't come back. I came here with a party of about 20 people. We all ordered drinks, were respectful, and followed the rules the staff gave us. They warned us not to get "rowdy," which we understood. But the moment we got even a little bit loud (which is normal for a group our size), the staff immediately kicked us out. We had already paid for everything, and instead of communicating with us or giving a simple reminder, they rushed to escort us out as if we were causing a scene. It was unprofessional, rude, and honestly ridiculous for a bar. Heavier black haired waitress was wildly rude multiple times - it was like one of those places you pay to get made fun of... except she meant it. One example: customer tries getting her attention and nicely says "just trying to help" (as she walks away with our drinks in hand, not dropping them for the second time) then she rolled her eyes IN HIS FACE, made a disgusted face at him, and dismissed him with "WELL YOUR NOT HELPING". WILD. I'm not sure what happened to this bar but it's clearly not going in the right direction. Was previously a really cool spot in the past, but now it's just bad bar food (bar food - not elevated like they say), overpriced and watery drinks, and rude customer service. Came for the free play tuesdays, walked in asked about the specials and is told about the $3 Jell-O shots and $10 frozen, which were 8 oz. Got two frozen and was asked to open or close the tab and I chose to close of course, not knowing that the free play was only valid with an open tab. 5 minutes later I was approached by the bar back that told us that we could get a free gameplay card from the bartender. When approaching the bartender about the free gameplay, this is when she then explained that the free gameplay is ONLY when you have an open tab, not when I was first ordering the drinks. If I could select negative stars I would. Barcadia is a great establishment; however, advice to the hiring manager, I would make sure your employees aren't completely incompetent before hiring them. Larger man who was bartending (Nov. 1st) embarrassed and kicked my friend out of the bar because be "sounded drunk." My friend who was pretty much sober (also Korean) was removed from the bar after politely asking the bartender for a drink. When I asked why he was being removed and I was additionally asked to be removed as well. This bartender was mostly likely new, and hasn't been doing his job for long, so i understand. However, being kind and offering help, instead of completely ruining someone's night because they "sounded weird" is messed up. Will never see me back at this "bar" again. read more

Old school meets new school at Barcadia. From Gen Z, to Baby Boomers, all can be found having a great time, and lively conversations here. Definitely in need of a revamp, which I hear is coming soon, however it will maintain its original charm, with a few upscale perks. Although smaller than some other arcade spots in town the affordable games, food and cocktails along with live music on certain nights makes it an excellent option. If you're an outdoor person they offer seating for you as well. Dallas can be quite warm day or night, and you'll feel it, if they have the garage doors open to the patio, so dress accordingly. You'll enjoy the staff who go out of their way to make every guest feel at home. Parking can be tricky in the area if their lot is full. I recently visited here for a work Happy Hour event. This place has potential to be a fun kick back space, however I wouldn't lose sleep if I never returned. Pros: The appetizers we had were yummy (hummus, queso, chips and salsa, and pizza.. friend had wings). Also, all of the games were free, I'm not sure if that was the case because this was an organized event or if that's the usual. Cons: The service from the bartenders was TRASH. I asked one bartender what cocktail she'd recommend to drink and her response "whatever you want". I asked another bartender if there was a happy hour menu and her response "just what's on the menu" in a rude voice. I eventually settled for a margarita - the drink was disgusting and extremely small for the price, I received a 5oz drink for $14 (before tax and gratuity). read more

I didI've been going her for forever and have even brought major nonprofit events to the venue. From my understanding it is dog friendly but tonight my poor rescue was verbally attacked and approached in a threatening manner for simply being a scared puppy. They cussed at her and threw things at me for combating the situation. Disgusting. Yet it was allowed. I did talk to Chris about it later and he was wonderful as always and supportive. The best bar ever! They have solid arcade games and pool as well. This became our regular spot forever when we lived over on Know Henderson and even after we moved this bar is our home away from home. Service is excellent. Have a great variety of items on the menu and we love the hummus board and pizza! I go back and forth on Barcadia. Sometimes I'll have the best time ever, and other times the place is way too packed, and the music is too loud. I haven't played one of the games in forever, but it was fun watching people on the patio playing giant jenga and giant connect 4. I'm only going to judge this place on my last visit, which consisted of sitting on the patio in the heat, being misted by the misters, and drinking summer drinks. I came here on Friday night with my husband and a friend from out of town. My friend actually found Barcadia because they had options for her (vegetarian) and her fiancé (vegan). Entrees: Barcadia Burger with chips and queso & Grilled Cheese and fries Dessert: Deep fried Oreos. The cheese fries were good. I loved the globs of cheese, jalapenos and bacon. We scraped the glob of sour cream off of the top. With the sides of ranch, it was just not needed. My grilled cheese was delicious! I loved the Texas toast and the variety of cheese and tomato. However, my French fries were not cooked all the way through. They were extremely greasy and limp. Ew. My hubby did not care for the burger. Because it was stuffed, he said that it fell apart each time that he took a bite. Also, the queso lacked flavor. The deep fried Oreos were interesting. I am glad that we tried them because I have always been curious. But, I was expecting a crunch from the cracker, and instead it was pretty soggy. I am glad we split it between the four of us. This place is known for arcade games but none of the work because all the quarter intakes are jammed/ the games don't work. She had a horrible attitude from when we started ordering. We eventually left because the staff was beyond rude to us we didn't even touch our drinks. We live near by and decided to try a new place. It has a very cool atmosphere and the food and drinks were good. Very disappointed that they added a 20% gratuity to our bill without our knowledge before paying a bill for 2 people that we placed and picked up every order at the bar. Not their fault that I didn't read the receipt before we left but not happy to find that out afterwards.
