I've been coming to FOE for many years, but recently I came for the first time since Covid. Still the most fun pool in Dallas! Cheap burgers, drinks, and everyone is always so friendly.

Fraternal Order of Eagles... Sounds... menacing? A cult, perhaps? Tucked away in East Dallas is a public pool surrounded by greenery complete with a bar with drinks and bites/snacks. It's a very chill place to hang out with friends and family. It was $10 per person for admission. We had a great time over the Labor Day holiday!

I came here for the 4th of July and had a blast! The people that work here are so friendly! The pool is a good size and there is a mix of people. There were families with kids, bikers, uptown yuppies, etc. They have a grill area where they serve chicken, burgers, fries, etc. A burger and fries is about $7 and they're great. Totally backyard bbq food. Loved it! The drinks are incredibly cheep! There's plenty of lawn space to lay down towels or lawn chairs. If you prefer shade you can rent out tents that line the pool area for about $30/day. I would definitely recommend spending a day out here with your family or friends! Its a great wholesome environment for everyone to have a good time!

Ha! This place is so silly. It's tucked away in a neighborhood. Plenty of sun or shade. Lots to do, though I only spent time at the pool. This pool attracts many different types of people: some kids/families, party animals, and older folks. I came here a bit dressed up and you definitely don't need to be! It's not uppity at all; in fact, it has a bit of a camping-vibe to it. 3 bars and strong drinks! You can also buy a burger which was half-decent. Fun place and they support charity!

Hi! I've heard that you have to be "staying there" to use the pool? Is that accurate or is it open to the public? Can't find a clear answer online. Thank you!

The pool is open to the public...forgot how much it is to get in but it's not much. Super chill and fun place

I asked for his recommendations, everything he recommended was super yummy.. I started with some deviled eggs! The splash of hot sauce complimented the eggs so well and the crunch of the bacon put a nice twist to it. I really enjoyed the filling it wasn't too sweet nor did it have a lot of extra ingredients. 10/10 for sure!! For my entree I went with the blackened snapper, I subbed mashed potatoes instead of the potato salad. I'm very particular about my potato salad I was too nervous to try it. After speaking with Paula I wish I would've tried it. No worries I'll come back just to try it. This snapper is good some of the best blackened snapper I've had. It was so moist and flaky the cream sauce made it even better. Chefs kiss for sure! 10/10 For dessert I had the flourless chocolate cake, if you're a chocolate lover this will be your go to. Although it says cake to me it had more of like a fudge texture. The raspberry sauce really helped out with cutting the sweetness of the chocolate. The restaurants fairly small, they have a huge selection of alcohol. I wasn't able to order a drink I was still sobering up from the night before. The bartender I didn't get her name she was super pleasant and helpful as well! I'll most definitely recommend lounge here

It has a special, magical charm of the perfect dive bar. I'm ignoring my previous trip there as, well, I should not have brought that person to this place. This place is not for pretentious people. Thus I was at home at this spot. It looks camouflaged by plain wrapping with a boring exterior. Open the door and it is a world of more things to explore than you have time to. You are treated like family as a stranger. Be ready to be among people who want to know you. I guess I fit as some there knew my friends from other dive bars. I never realized how small the Dallas Dive bar world was. I have some cool friends. The music is good on the video jukebox. The tears came to my eyes as a few post 9/11 patriotic songs were played (I bleed Army green and so did some that didn't return home to their moms intact.) Glad none there saw my eyes or noticed my toast to my memories. The couple dancing on the next song made me feel more at home. Good thing a good 2 step or waltz never played or I might have had to find a partner. The decor is somewhat Green Bay Packer-ish. Okay, a lot of Green Bay love in the decor. Heh, yes, I still carry a grudge from the 1967 Ice Bowl as a life long Cowboy fan should! But, I respect a bar owner who has actual stock in his/her team and displays it proudly! So that adds another star or would that be Starr? The patrons make this one special. This is one of the great dive bars!

We brought our dog bc the patio is dog friendly (it is also smoking friendly so you can make your own choice on that!) Then we ordered the katsu fries and the fried olives, I personally a not even a huge olive lover but it was so different I wanted to try! And again, it was so yummy! The sauce on the fries was a little spicy and the olives had so much flavor! I think both would be good apps for a group! I want to try the smash burger and the Nashville hot chicken next so TBD! You will miss it, but I have to say this is a bar like they say don't judge a book by its cover cause when I pulled up, I was like, where am I, but when I opened the door, wow, it was terrific. The vibe is on point. They have a big karaoke stage. They do game nights. They do a Mario Party or Mario Kart night, and they have a happy hour. They have a game room in the back with darts, pool tables, and a few arcades that offer free play. I mean, this place was amazing. We came on Friday after work. I got the cocktail. I can't remember the name, but it was a celery gin-infused cocktail. It was on point, delicious. My coworker got another cocktail that had mezcal in it. This cocktail was so good, the way it was made. It was just delicious. We also ordered the umami pretzels with a three different dipping sauce, a mustard and apple type of sauce and I can't remember the other one, but I highly recommend this as a starter the sauces were so good and everything so I really wanna go back and try the food because the bartender was telling us that they just opened up in August they have a chef a new person there and so I'm really excited to try some of the food that they have there overall it was an amazing experience love the vibe you need to check them out like I said if you don't pay attention, you will drive past them so I highly recommend this bar. Old fashioned made by Patrick the bartender, was lovely. Smooth, mild and so easy to drink. Music was a little blues, a little rock. Nothing to well known that it would alienate people. They have a small tv above the bar that plays VHS tapes--kitsch vibe. Robin Hood (Disney version with foxes) was playing when I got there. Food is small bites, likely made for folks to eat quick and bolt. I tried the deviled eggs du jour--something "Philly" which was smoked salmon, cream cheese, hot mustard (I think), pickled onions, pickled cucumber and some Asian sweet sauce. All of the flavors complement each other. Super yummy. Also got the house made potato chips. It came with scratch made onion dip and a little dish of pimento cheese (made from scratch) topped with that sweet Asian sauce. I did not love the sweet sauce on the pimento cheese. No sweet please on the pimento. Onion dip was nice since you could tell the onions were not rehydrated from a box. Needed a little more flavor...salt, pepper, any kind of spice? I also ordered an espresso martini. Too sweet for my taste. Maybe I was on a savory kick and was judgmental of sweet things? All in all--4 stars because of the vibe. Walk in and make your way to the bar to place your order (re: that is both drinks and food). They not only have a full bar but also a great selection of craft and local beers. I kicked things off with an IPA and we placed our food orders. This place has a kitchen that is rockin' and has several vegetarian options that are not your standard veggie food. I couldn't decide so I ordered too much: Tofu Ruben, The McFib, and a side of fries "for the table" but lets be real-I ate almost all of them. After a brief wait my order came out and everything was fresh and steaming hot. I enjoyed everything I had to eat but no lies, their McFib was the star of the show and next time I'm going to order two or three of those suckers (side note: sliders come out as a single item per order). Service was great! The bartenders were very knowledgeable and happy to offer up suggestions and you can tell by the quality that the kitchen takes pride in what it does. Bonus was how great the place was decorated, we went mid-Dec and the whole place was decked out in festive holiday garb. Parking is mostly street parking or paid lots, that is: no private parking lot that I am aware of and the location being directly across from Fair Park means that from here on out this will be our go-to spot to grab a drink and dinner before heading to see any of the shows at the Music Hall at Fair Park. Cheers and see ya again real soon.
