I definitely do recommend this place although I'm not the hugest fan of their food. The best thing on the menu is the Carne Asada but it's the priciest thing on the menu. The vegetables that come along with are great. It's a restaurant until 10 PM and then it turns into a nightclub. There's also a "secret" speakeasy in the back that's only open on Friday and Saturday nights. Make sure to get the password from someone to get in. The ambience is pretty cool very desert like decorations. Staff is super nice to and very helpful and attentive. Don't worry about making reservations because the restaurant is pretty empty during dining hours even on the weekends. Fun plays, but I would recommend sticking with the margarita or beer or wine because they're mixed drinks really did not taste too great. Stick with what you know. We will definitely go back as that Carne Asada was pretty darn good.

We came during happy hour time. It's was dead in there but at night! Oh my goodness!! The vibes were unmatched. Lots of dancing, good energy. Lots of Latin/Spanish vibes. We had a really great time. They werent possessive with the tables, service was great. The inside has beautiful decor. There is a dress code. Bouncer was cool about it. Can't wait to go back. Great crowd of people. Wasn't interested in the food, over priced.

Dallas Restaurant in a Parking Garage?! This hot NEW spot is hidden in the bottom of a parking garage in Dallas, TX. Take an elevator down the lowest level, and prepared to be blown away by the aesthetics in and outside the restaurant. The Mexican-inspired menu and intimidate setting is also why this restaurant is a must visit. Fun fact! There's a speakeasy bar inside a freezer that's only open over the weekend. We went on a Thursday night and tacos were $5 (excluding speciality) and there was Salsa dancing lessons after 8 pm. How fun!

We went to La Mina after seeing a viral reel talking about how good the food is at this hidden underground restaurant... which apparently closed the kitchen and operates now only as a nightclub, a change which had taken effect only a few days prior. Even the staff didn't know this change was coming. That was really a bummer. This place isn't easy to find. There is one tiny sign directing you to the underground parking garage, but the other *permanent* signage has no such indication. We missed it the first time and initially drove around the whole district trying to find it. The ambiance is really cool and has a cozy, romantic, almost speakeasy vibe and is of a proper volume to converse with friends. And upon perusing a drink list, a couple of cocktails caught my eye, but at ~$15 each and with no food offerings, we left to go find dinner first, thinking we may come back. Had they had food, we would definitely have stayed for dinner and also ordered a few cocktails. The bartender sent us up to the ground floor to the only restaurant that was open, and it was a sports bar that had fantastic looking food but was so loud (like shouting-at-the-person-next-to-you loud as they had multiple TVs and a DJ) and overcrowded, we just gave up decided to move on from the area altogether. Unfortunately, I cannot see a reason to go back. I feel like this quirky location and cute ambiance, not to mention extremely limited other evening dining options in walking distance, had a better chance as a restaurant but maybe the 20-something crowd is more into it as a bar.

I cannot say enough about this place. It is truly a hidden gem. I went on Saturday for my Birthday and the whole place is such a vibe. The music was on point, the atmosphere was chill yet fun. I danced for hours. I will definitely be back!

You have to pay to leave as they do not validate parking. It costed me $3 to leave the garage. The inner lower bar had no one to let people in so people were just knocking until somehow they were let in by workers. The vibe was cool though. Drinks were good. An automatic 18% gratuity was added to the tab.

Came back to this place to only be disappointed ..they no longer have the Tlayuda de barbacoa. Which is such a shame because it was the best thing I had last time. Now I don't know if it's worth coming back, maybe just for drinks. Tried the speakeasy this time which was cool if you want a cocktail that is not offered in the main restaurant.

Stopped by and sat at the bar for a drink, so I can't give it a full review. I would love to come back to try the food. I love the aesthetics of the place, very beautiful and dark. They had skulls and candles everywhere. Our drinks were good, the bartenders were friendly, and I want to come back for more.

My friend and I ate here during one of their comedy nights and the food was soo good! I had the enchiladas with mole *cheifs kiss*. Everything was perfect and flavorful. And our server Dee was amazingly sweet and kind. She checked on us frequently even though it was pretty crowded. She still managed to make us feel like VIP guests. We'll defiantly be back. Thank you, Dee!

Really interesting establishment with some fun quirks! Manager and Staff were very friendly. There was some confusion on all of our part upon arrival but we were seated right away. I saw some reviews saying the chips were not crispy, but we didn't have that problem. The salsa wasn't spicy by any means, but it also wasn't sweet like some reviews mentioned. Drinks were all good, the food was good but definitely a higher price point than I would expect for what you get. (2 enchiladas, rice and beans were $17 at time of review, house marg $8, hibiscus marg $13) The real treasure of La Mina is the speakeasy. Highly recommend the electric margarita (prickly pear drink $13)... it comes with instructions you'll just have to find out about when you go! The room only holds about 20 people at a time, and it's just all around a fun experience. Leann rocked the service in there too

Nice comment on my last review, but I forgot to email them and ended up wandering in on a whim after dinner at Meridian late one Friday evening. So, no free margaritas in this review. That said, there shouldn't have been ANY margaritas in this review. But here's what happened: 1. We walked up to the hostess stand and asked if we could get in the speakeasy (Apatito). She said there was a 45- to 60-minute wait, but we could have a drink at the bar in the restaurant while we waited. The restaurant was empty...just a few tables seated...and we were the only people at the bar for a while. I ordered La Ciudad, their mezcal Manhattan...always solid. 2. After about 30-45 minutes, I went back to the hostess and asked if we could get in yet. She said yes, so we closed out and headed back there...only to find that the speakeasy ALSO was practically empty (see photo). This really annoyed me, because we could have been drinking much more interesting drinks back there while we were just forced to sit at the bar for the sake of making it LOOK like the place was in high demand? 3. What saved the evening (and made this two stars, not one star) was that the bartender back there was this spunky woman who was just great. And she made some great drinks (see photos). However... 4. Last call was just after midnight. I mean, okay...I shouldn't be out that late anymore anyway, sure. But this meant we only had time for one drink. (Again, we WOULD have had time for two drinks if we hadn't been forced to waste half an hour at the restaurant bar first.) I'd go back for the bartender and the drinks, IF I'm in the area and IF I'm feeling patient (i.e., willing to be lied to about a wait). But frankly, I just sort of find myself hoping that the bartender finds a better gig. Or maybe she likes the slowness. If I lived here, I'd definitely wander over regularly and try to make myself known well enough to get in without being forced to wait. However, the speakeasy is only open Friday and Saturday evenings, so...it's just really hard to casually drop in if you don't live in The Village. It's also probably really hard for a speakeasy with such limited hours to get any word-of-mouth interest in a city where we have so many speakeasies that are open seven days a week. I get that staffing is tight right now...I just wonder if La Mina (and their Apatito speakeasy) maybe opened prematurely and would have been off to a stronger start if they were more fully staffed.

Such a perfect sip and paint venue! the host was 10/10 and La Mina made the perfect backdrop.

Two stars only because I had a good time with the people I was there, service terrible, slow and forgetful, food I don't even know what to say less than okay. They have 5-6 things to offer on a menu. We went for a salsa night so at least I had fun dancing, otherwise definitely do not recommend and will not be returning

That's not where the differences stop as the Archive menu provides more traditional cocktails and a diverse array to choose from, with drinks you may be more familiar with. Alchemy on the other hand offers a more experimental approach to their drink menu, including creative cocktails that seem eclectic and never been tried before, using unusual ingredients or prepared in a unique way, but if you are feeling adventurous, I'd highly recommend trying the latter. Keep in mind, when entering Alchemy, the inside is very dark so if you want to see properly I would recommend sitting outside if it isn't too hot. To start, my friends and I ordered the truffle fries for the table and they were highly ranked in my opinion for best truffle fries in Dallas. They were perfectly crispy and flavored well with the truffle seasoning. For drinks, from the alchemy menu, we ordered the I Dream of Kiwi (my choice), Kaleidoscope Eyes, and Inappropriate Beet Pun. My drink was made up of bamboo tea gin, kiwi coconut water, plum wine, and kiwi boba. I liked the sweetness mixed with tartness and the boba balls added a nice touch. Additionally we ordered the pineapple soft serve margaritas (it was my first time experiencing soft serve margs) and I really enjoyed Apothecary's version. The pineapple flavor was tangy alongside the creaminess of the ice cream. And there was a nice chili salt garnish (similar to tajin) added on top. For food, I ordered the Lil' Thuggies, a hilarious name for a dish that is actually very delicious. It consisted of popcorn chicken nuggets, cooked in sweet tea brine and spiced flour, served with a side of epazote ranch and korean wing sauce respectively. My friends ordered the Japanese elotes and Muhammara (roasted red pepper & walnut spread, greek oil, sea salt, microgreens, grilled baguette). Both very tasty as well, with the elotes having a cream sauce on top. Overall I can't wait to go back to apothecary and maybe try the other side next time.
