We had a reservation for the weekend, our evening started a little off because we were asked to sit on the most uncomfortable little tables and our utensils kept on falling off. When the food arrived, there wasn't enough space for everything we needed in the table. As for the food, I ordered a carne asada, the meat was super salty l, wasn't able to finish it and way too pricey for what this was. Not lying, stick to your street carne asada instead if you're getting this. After everything we decided to order desserts, I chose the seasonal flan, it had flavor. However, the consistency is exactly like those from a box. If you were looking for a flan similar to a Cheesecake, you'll be disappointed. The portion was small for its cost. I was waiting for the restroom with my best friend and I locked once at the bathroom door and a man came and put his hands on my best friend and pushed her to where she lost balance and we were escorted out for sticker up for ourselves and trying to "handle him" the best we could in the moment. I am very umm pleased and very hurt from this experience. I am truly disgusted and much more with this, a grown ass man should never put his hands on a women for any thing. Don't ever go here. I had dinner at the Mina last night. When we get there, I was surprised there were a lot of empty tables on a Saturday night, no wonder why... My friends and I didn't like the food. It was expensive for the food portions. The tacos were tiny and the salsa was not spicy at all. The service was slow and bad. Our waitress didn't check on us or ask us if we liked the food or needed something for the table. I've become a frequent visitor of La Mina over the past couple of months and I have to say, every time I have nothing short of a good time. The drinks are delicious, with my favorite being the Te Quiero Mucho. The food is amazing ever since they rolled out the new menu. Cute place! I went there last night with a friend, NOT A PARTY/RESERVATION. Terrible Bartenders with no customer service whatsoever and besides that they tip themselves 25% on every tab. Lovely patio area. The food and service was impeccable. We had the "Mexican pizza" appetizer which was absolutely delicious. Went here for dinner with friends and it was an adorable spot! The drinks were so fun, all so unique and beautifully dressed. The plates and glasses were all so beautiful, it really added a special touch. The dinner was delicious, we all enjoyed our meals and appetizers. We then got to go into the speakeasy which was SO FUN! Definitely recommend asking your waiter/waitress about how to get there after your meal. PJ the bartender recommended the espresso martini and the Gabriella magica. Both were fantastic. Beat espresso martini I have had. We were visiting from out of town and were looking for a fun place to get some drinks after dinner. We saw that La Mina does Sunday remix with a DJ until midnight. We stopped in at 10pm and noticed it was emptier than we expected, but we still wanted to check it out. We stayed for about 3 mins because the staff made it clear that we were not welcome. We had no less than 3 people tell us the kitchen was closed, which was fine with us because we weren't there to eat. We expressed to the bartender that we were just there for a drink or two which she seemed annoyed by. I started wondering if maybe their posted hours were incorrect. I never want be the person that comes in at closing, so I asked if they still close at midnight and she said "we close based on volume, so we will probably close within the hour." That pretty much sealed the deal for us and we decided to leave. It was quite clear that the staff didn't want to be there. To top it off even though there was a DJ the lights were bright and didn't at all look like "Sunday Remix" they promote online. La Mina is located at the bottom of the Drey Hotel. The decor was super cute, and they had really good adult beverages (margaritas, blackberry mule, etc.), but the food was so-so. I loved the queso, but wasn't a huge fan of my dinner or even the chips. However, I'll probably go back at some point bc it's located right next to the village pool and a couple of bars, so it would be good for meeting friends or a last minute date night to where you can walk around after. read more

Service was super slow. My intial drink horrible the bitters way to strong. It took a long time to get some chips and salsa. We requested a refill took a long time to get a refill. Finally got my second drink it was good I would recommend the Pisco sour's. We ordered two appetizers the pork and the flautist was not impressed. The presentation was very nice but they absolutely had no flavor or taste. We had to ask twice for our ticket we just wanted to go we were not willing to risk eating a meal there. Went a week or so ago and thought it was great! Really nice decor inside and nice patio, although we ate inside. Made it for happy hour on a Tuesday night and had a really good frozen margarita or two. Started with the queso fundido, which was amazing if you like cheese! Chips and salsa were good and the tortillas that came with the queso were very homemade and delicious. Got the cochinita pibil tacos (pork), which had a great flavor although a little fatty. My guest had the barbacoa tacos, which I tried a little of and will probably get the next time. So many other items I look forward to trying in the future. read more
