I like bringing my kid to this park because it's the closest to our house. I like that it's wood chips so the kids don't get too dirty, however, it can also cause splinters. There's an open field to run around in with dogs.

Went to the pool to swim after work. Water was clean, not too crowded, and I could do my laps. Locker rooms were okay.

The address for this place is 2850 Skillman Rd Dallas, TX 75214. I followed my GPS to 6115 Llano Rd and all I found was a parking lot.

Pretty good small park. Tennis court, kickball on some weekdays. Super fun to watch. Oh, and amazing trees!

Unfortunately, it took about 30 minutes just for our cabana to be cleaned, which is frustrating when you're paying for a specific time slot. We hadn't received our bottle, the table was still dirty, and there was very little apology or urgency. My friend spoke with the manager first, and when nothing changed, I went over myself. I explained politely that we had already lost 30 minutes of our reservation and that it was my birthday, but he seemed completely unconcerned. We were told they were understaffed, but there was no real effort to make the situation right. What made it worse was seeing another cabana properly prepared with ice, starters, and the refrigerator stocked while ours wasn't. If cabanas are the higher-priced option, I would expect at least the same level of service, if not better. The experience really put a damper on the beginning of my birthday, and after this, I don't see the value in paying extra for a cabana.

He had parked his large SUV in the striped no parking zone between handicap spaces. When asked if he could move the car because it was very hard to get wheelchair bound passenger out of my car during a heavy rain, he said it was "their loading zone". When I tried to explain that it was in fact a no parking area to allow ADA access to help handicapped people load into a vehicle, he tried to dispute this. I am including information below to better educate the KayCee manager of the ADA law. The striping between handicap parking spaces, known as the access aisle, is marked with diagonal stripes to prevent vehicles from parking there and is a required part of the parking space's design under ADA guidelines. This aisle provides the necessary space for people with disabilities to get in and out of their vehicles, and is distinct from regular parking space markings. Purpose of the access aisle Clearance: The access aisle provides the necessary space for people to exit and enter their vehicles. Safety: The diagonal striping prevents other drivers from parking in the area, ensuring it remains clear for its intended use. ADA Compliance: Federal guidelines require these areas to be clearly marked to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. It's definitely a fun place to spend the day with kids of all ages. The food was surprisingly good! I highly recommend the chicken tenders and fries. They had great flavor. My only SMALL downsides was the bar experience. The drinks are extremely overpriced for what you get, and the male bartenders during our visit were not very welcoming AT ALL it felt like you were bothering them to ask for a drink. They would probably do better serving drinks away from the public. Meanwhile the female staff were genuinely friendly and pleasant. (couldn't remember names) The overall experience was still pretty cool. It's a fun escape in the middle of Dallas and a great place to unwind for the day. We also used the sauna in the spa area which was A1 would recommend utilizing all of the great amenities as a hotel guest. Bottom line this is our new go-to spot for a staycation or when family is town.
