Skyline

Beautiful new hotel in the middle of Design District. It was a cool evening with a bit of a breeze but not too cold, so I wanted to visit a rooftop bar. My friend thought of this place, so we said why not! When we approached the host at the front and told him we wanted to visit the bar, he told us that we looked like "nice people" and would let us in to the Pool Club, although reservations are usually required. He gave us a wrist band and directed us to the 4th floor. There was a bouncer at the door of the Pool Club checking for wrist bands. Looking back, though, I'm not sure how "exclusive" the club actually is, as more and more people started trickling in as the night went on. 4th floor doesn't seem like much, but you still get a nice view of the Dallas downtown skyline! We got drinks and some calamari. The calamari were okay at best. The drink I got, the galactic, was refreshing, fruity, not too sweet. We walked around a bit. It's quite a large rooftop bar with various seating areas - some around fire pits, some overlooking Design District. I'd say this is a nice place to visit with a group of friends or on a date. Service is friendly, timely, attentive. Staff members were all wearing masks. I would go for the drinks and views, but not for the bar bites (which is from the restaurant in the hotel downstairs).

Amazing view of the city

The Pool Club, is absolutely one of those places that the vibe changes depending on the day, and time you visit. It's easy to go from a relaxing time in the pool, to an "one more bottle please" type of evening. I love the lounge vibe I get during the week, but if you love to people watch, and wiggle a little, Friday's and Saturday's aren't to be missed! Sunday brunches are fun too! Not the place to enjoy if your pockets have an echo, but the ambiance is well worth it! Lucashay xoxo Lorenzo

I've been here a few times. The first time the waitress was amazing. Quick service and very polite. My second time visiting the service was a bit slower and they forgot a few things. Over all it's a lovely experience with beautiful scenery. Absolutely love the flower tree decor and their yummy charcuterie board

He literally told me, "If a drop of rain comes, then I'll give it to you." It had rained for much of the day, and multiple customers were asking about the same promotion. If the requirement is that rain must physically be falling while you order, that needs to be clearly stated in the advertisement. Otherwise, the promotion feels misleading. I've been to Parliament several times and have never had a bartender interpret the rainy-day happy hour this way. I ended up ordering a smoked Old Fashioned from another bartender I've had before, and it was great. He was friendly, engaging, had great energy, and even did tricks while making the drink. I still enjoyed my cocktail, but it would've been nice to have the option to order from the happy-hour menu as advertised that day. I'm including the Instagram post for reference. I'm very disappointed as I've never not had a good time at Parliament. I really think that the owner should look at the Times stamps around 930 to 10:15pm part night and see the difference of business and traffic flow from when the taller bartender with the glasses versus the shorter Bartender with the glasses was at the front as it was instantly more business. Oh and lastly, I left my Betsy JOHNSON purple umbrella. I'm so sad and they don't have a number to call.

Take a seat, I've got a story to tell: I have no idea how this place isn't already swarming with people wearing vintage Cowboys jerseys and arguing about brisket. It's like someone said, "What if we made a chill, good-looking sports bar with great food, live music, and a tequila dungeon rave in the back?" and then actually did it. Let's start with location: It's in the Design District, nestled between a UPS store and some bougie eateries that serve things like "deconstructed nachos" This place? No pretense. Just vibes. The front is a cool, unassuming sports bar with TVs, a solid beer selection, and food that's actually better than it needs to be. I'm not saying the burger cured my seasonal depression, but I did smile with my whole face after the first bite. But wait..there's a twist. Go toward the back and you'll stumble upon a themed bar/speakeasy that opens on weekends only. Think tequila meets house music meets, "how is this even legal?" It's like Narnia, if Narnia served mezcal shots and played Diplo remixes. Pro tips: * Taco Tuesdays: Dollar tacos that don't taste like regret. * Thursday combo: Burger, fries, and a beer for $10. Alexander Hamilton would be proud. * Staff is actually attentive and friendly, no one here is mad that you exist. There's a gentleman that is deaf, be nice, he's super cool! The only con? The parking situation is more stressful than a group project in college. Street parking is your best bet, but if you have to use the lot, prepare to reenact a 37-point turn while strangers silently judge you. If you're looking for a place where you can watch the game, make a new bar friend, and maybe end the night dancing in a surprise tequila lounge, this is your spot. Just don't tell too many people. I like being able to get a table. ;P Follow their Instagram for their specials and updates.

I'm working a list of Top 50 cocktails and they had no problem with the obscure ones. When I went on a Friday night they had a live jazz band. Even though they were playing dixeland jazz which is very hokey, it was cool to see and made a happy vibe. If you don't mind walking 3 blocks you can avoid their valet as the spot is secluded from other businesses.

The munchies they offer you are toasted Texas Pecans, and Corn Nuts! Delicious to the core! Thanks to our bartender, Ruel! I assume EVERYTHING on their cocktail Bible is a hit, just mine was. Pricey, yes. I had 2, and they were worth it! This effortlessly chic bar, located inside the Mansion on Turtle Creek Hotel, is a real hit with guests, tourists, and locals! Excellent service! A must stop! And it's really busy during happy hour and peak hours! You'll thank me later..... Cheers, Yelpers!

When we walked in, the hostesses greeted us and seated us at the table we had reserved in the Leopard Room. Initially, we were placed at a small half table along the wall. We asked if it was possible to move, and they happily accommodated us. That particular table felt a bit awkward for conversation since you can barely face the person across from you. It might work better for someone sitting alone and people watching rather than having a full conversation. Service throughout the night was great. The staff checked in regularly without being intrusive and made sure we always had what we needed. For drinks, I would say they were just okay. They were not bad, but they also were not particularly memorable. Given the speakeasy concept, I expected a bit more creativity in both flavor and presentation. We ordered the Melting Clock Elixir, Persistence of Berries, Cotton Candy Cloud, and the Surrealist 75. As the night went on, the space became much more crowded and louder once the DJ started playing. If you are hoping to have a relaxed conversation and catch up with friends, this might not be the best spot later in the evening. From what I saw, the Library Room seems to have a nicer atmosphere for that. The Leopard Room leans more toward a lounge or club-like environment as the night progresses.
