My brother rented this venue for my niece's college grad party in the last week of December, 2023. Before then, I'd never heard of this place but I'm not a local so that's to be expected. Tucked into a small strip mall-like storefront, this place is great if you're looking for a more intimate spot. I'm told it functions as a nightclub primarily, but is rentable for private parties, such as ours was. It isn't much to look at on the exterior, but the interior is well-appointed; a lot of dark woods with gold accented fixtures, it looks relatively new and it was very clean - my experiences with nightclubs tend toward 'good at 10 feet' but any closer and you can see the dirt and rundown. Not so, here. The staff were all very courteous and professional; my brother sprang for an open bar so we had bartenders who were very good at their job (and really easy on the eyes too). The catering was done by a local celeb chef, though I can't recall his name - the food was good on the whole, and there was no lack of it. All in all, we had a really good time, and if I were looking for a venue for another party in Dallas, I'd definitely consider this place. They offer valet parking as well. read more

Had an amazing time last night with friends! It was "International Night" so the music was 10/10. Women get in free until 12am and men pay $15. Most people in the club were dressed very nice, they have a dress code, but it is not too strict (a couple of our people were wearing sneakers and hats and it was no problem). The security upfront were really friendly and nice and greeted us in to the table. We had a very good location too in the middle. Came here to celebrate my brother's birthday and it was definitely poppin on a Wednesday night. We did arrive close to 11pm and it was not packed at all but a good amount of people. Around midnight it does get packed especially on a weekday. Bottle service is the choice to go with. They take care of you and the ratio at this place are good. This place is extremely RACIST! If you are a person of color, DO NOT go here! The crowd there does not like us in there. I went last night (Saturday) and got called slurs several times in the 5 mins I was there. Not only that, people would make disgusting comments like "there's a whole herd of them here (my Latino friends and I)" or "I thought Trump got rid of them already". Similar to many clubs/lounges in Dallas, Miami Vibes are now promoted, complete with flared bottle service, and LED Presenter Signs. Although the layout, nor design offer anything awe inspiring, Candleroom Dallas maintain's a certain level of nightlife charm. Never a fan of armless banquette, or bench like seating that encourage squatting on their backs, nor non-clearly defined reserved areas, especially when little common area is available for partiers. I am however a huge fan of bartenders such as Whitney, who have years with an establishment, share their history, and make you feel right at home. Because sharing is caring, I'll share this partier beware; because of aforementioned design details, it's incredibly important to have well trained, and respectful security. It was OK. If I could do 3.5 stars instead of three I would but not four. Don't go before 11 or 11:30 or you'll be the only ones there. We got there about 10:45 and there was maybe 10-15 people. Not a big area so it does fill up quickly. Only real complaint was they played tejano music nearly non stop. Actually several people around us commented on that too. Come on DJ....change it up a bit. I love the Candleroom! I've been going here for as long as I can remember. (I don't want to post that because then everyone here will know my age ;)) It's still the Wednesday night hot spot and don't expect that to change any time soon or ever. Lol I have had 4 or 5 of my bday parties here and we all had a lot of fun. Obviously, or I would not keep having parties here. I am happy to see the positive reviews on here. Here's some advice so that the rest of you can have a positive experience. First of all if you don't like a lot of people in one place then do not go here on a Wednesday night unless you go early and plan to leave early. Also, get bottle service so you and your friends can party and be comfortable. Don't try to park, instead valet park! Arrive there early, say 11-11:15 on Wednesday night so that you don't have to wait in a long line. Dress really nice and it's a good idea to have more girls in your group. Like, 60/40 may work but even that may be pushing it some. Sorry, I don't make the rules. That's how it goes for a lot of nice clubs, especially the hot spot of the week. Be nice to the door guy. I visited Candleroom for the first time on a Wednesday night. They have a cute photo booth station. At the photo booth you can take as many photos as you like and send them to yourself. The DJ was very good and played mostly hip-hop music. We had a section so I wasn't too concerned with what was going on outside of my section. I left my purse at the club and I retrieved it two days later with everything inside of it. I had a Saint Laurent (YSL) clutch with car keys, drivers license, house keys, and money. Management was extremely professional and courteous when I reached out regarding my purse. They told me their staff is honest. This makes me feel extremely comfortable. read more

This last Saturday night I was completely blown away by the hospitality and service at Candleroom. Let me back up to about 6 weeks ago. We were in the middle of planning our biggest charity fundraiser and suddenly needed a new place to have the event. Our director reached out to Candleroom and they immediately offered the place for our event. Not only did they offer the place for the event they threw in a couple items we were able to auction off at the event. Fast forward back to Saturday, things were a little hectic as we walked in to start setting up. Ashley, the coordinator at Candleroom was AWESOME! We were short a few volunteers and she jumped in and started helping. An hour into the event we ran out of plates (I know, I know) and we had rented them from an outside party but the bus boys jumped in and washed the plates we had so we could reuse them. The caterer had left and again with there only being limited volunteers who showed up the bus boy also helped out with keeping the food out and hot. Ashley was even running back and forth putting out desserts. I literally felt like they were all an extended part of our team that night. The bartenders made all of our guest feel really special, so much so they were making special drinks for our drinkers and non-drinkers alike. Making our non-drinkers feel just as special with a pretty drink in hand. The communication on the open bar and once we hit our limit was easy. They kept open communication the entire time and there were absolutely no surprises. Don't want to leave out that they even through valet parking in with the event space. It was so nice that our guests didn't have to worry about parking. If you are looking for an event space in Dallas, you have found it. The decor is chic and upscale and the staff is outstanding. And of course, Candleroom is still the place to go onWednesday night to be seen and dance your booty off. ;) read more

The door men here really think they are the hot shit! and they are racist as hell! We wanted to buy a table for my friends birthday and they told us it was reservations only. While we were waiting for valet to bring our car around we saw them letting people in without a reservation they just simply asked for their ID's and if it was a group of men they told them that they could only come in if they got bottle service, which was what we were wanting to do but they didn't even give us the option to do so. This place isn't even all that I've been before the only reason why we choose to go there was because it was a Wednesday and that's one of the few places that is open on Wednesday for bottle service. I give it a solid three for a bachelorette part because we had a great time with out group. For this event, it worked out well. There was some music we could have passed, but 70% of it was solid. We had table service, and if you don't mind spending the money, this is great for an event like that. Otherwise, I do not plan on returning to the Candleroom (unless for another bachelorette reserved party). This was a Saturday night, and they say Wednesday is the hot day. It was mostly just a few other groups with table service and a couple of other individuals. Nothing to write home about. And some of the people were way to casual for an upscale club wearing regular jeans and shirts. I used to hear this was an exclusive Vegas type place, but now it seems to have gone downhill from the former reputation. The bussers cleared our $600 2 person table with zero warning and laughed at me when I said I wasn't finished with my drink and said he didn't care because the lights were on. The managers were no help even after complaining about the lack of service and being cleared out before we had even finished our drinks. No other tables had been cleared in the entire place. My two friends I were denied entry last Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving). Allegedly it was because we did not have a reservation. However we stood out there for at least 30 minutes afterwards and consistently saw that white and Hispanic women were getting in with no issues. Simply showing their ID and walking right in. No asking about a "reservation." I was watching the guy at the front door the entire time so that when I came to write this review, I came with facts. So the only problem that I could see with me is, my skin wasnt the right color. I know I will not be popular for loving Candle Room. It is a secret that I go there as I have no REAL friends who will darken that red carpet with me. Candle Room, like "The Hills", is one of my guilty pleasures. I have been going here since before I went to college. That being said, while everyone bags on this place, it is one of the few clubs/lounges that has stuck around that long. Some of the reasons people hate this place are the reasons I love it. I love the fact that they enforce the dress code. Sometimes I find it fun to get all dolled up for a night out. Therefore, I appreciate the lack of jerseys, flip flops, and hats. If I am making an effort... you should too! I love the drinks there, and while they are expensive, they are delicious. I have had some of the best martinis here. I love the little flecks of ice I always get in them. If you are a lady, more then likely some old man will beg to buy you a drink within the first five minutes. That's so wrong... I know I know... blah blah blah... but this is Candle Room. Come on... Too crowded? Of course! On Wednesday night the DJ is great! My favorite mainstream mash-up DJ in town. BY FAR. Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks this because it's always packed. If you are lucky, and have the money, get a table and ask for one of the ones in the very back by the fireplace. Very cool atmosphere. Another thing to do is if you don't like all the crowds come on a Thursday or Friday. It is usually not as crowded. Candle Room is also in a great location. You can start your night off at Old Monk, Vickery Park, Victor Tangos... etc... and stroll up the street to Candle Room. Few blocks in Dallas pack as many offerings as this one does. As far as membership goes, I don't have one, but I have never had a problem getting in. I am a chick though. :) I have seen men have difficulty getting in. Mostly for not being dressed properly. Looking at Eric W.'s review, I have to say ... every single lounge/club in Dallas WISHES it were in LA. It's lame, really, really lame. Dallas, get it through your head, you are NOT LA, there is only one LA, and it's sure as hell not in Texas. That said, Candle Room is one of the better nightlife spots I've been to since I moved to Dallas. It has a elegant, classy interior and super lux bathrooms that are actually well-kept. Shocking! It beats Wish or Suite any day. It has the typical bottle service, table thing, and the cocktail waitresses carry sparklers through the dark room when they deliver bottles. Very cool. The crowd is typical Dallas club-esque, with hot women in skimpy black clothes and more men in suits than I've seen since Wall Street. Music is AWESOME, I'll second Lindsay J. on that one. All in all though, not a bad place, if you must do the Dallas lounge scene. Beware though, it's a "private club," so to get in you need to a) be a hot girl, b) know someone, or c) have money to burn. One other thing, the valets here are a**holes. Me: umm no, never been here, some friends invited me to come so I did. I live nearby. DoorGuy: ok, locals usually have to come before 11 to get in. I'll see if I can get you in.
