Everything in Texas is bigger and better! This couldn't be truer at Cowboys Red River dance hall! This place was rockin till 3AM. We had a blasts dancing, drinking and singing our hearts out! Bar tending service was spot on! And the vibe was lively. My only critique would be to tell the dude in the bathroom selling cologne and after shave to back the hell up! That was a bit much for my liking. But overall, I highly recommend this spot to anyone interested in having a good old time!

PROS: This place is the best line dancing bar ive ever been to. Ages 18+, music is good, numerous bars inside, arcade games, a mechanical bull, and friendly staff. Loads of parking and open late CONS: Ages 18-20 the admission is $40 and ages 21+ is $10 when it should be free. OVERALL: As long as you don't mind paying for admission this is an amazing place to go to

Best place to show your friends or family who are visiting Texas. Such a vibe lol great music. Live music, country music and it gets fun later in the night. Hot dog lines outside. Easy parking. You're guaranteed a great time.

Me and my girls come here on Thursday nights because ladies get in free. At first it was fun but now it's just too many young people. Maybe if i came on a day when it's only 21 and over. The young ones really ruin the experience.. like they don't know how to have fun without being belligerent. The inside is nice... the girls bathroom is always packed.

I brought my cousins from Italy to Red River to give them the stereotypical Texas experience, and it was hands-down their favorite part of the trip. If you're looking for a fun time and a chance to meet some great people, I highly recommend Red River. It's also perfect if you just want to dance and work on your two-step skills. The vibe is versatile--some people are hanging out with friends, while others are in their own world with headphones on. With everything from beers to a dance floor and even a bull ride, there's something for everyone. I can't wait to go back!

If you are looking for a country night out in Dallas to boot-scoot-and-boogie, then you need to check out Red River! We went to Red River on a weekend night and the entire place was packed with people dancing, sipping on brews, and singing along with the live entertainment. There is a large circular dance floor that allows people to dance while constantly moving throughout the place. There is a bull-riding machine, several pool tables, a few different bars to order from, and a large stage for entertainers to perform on. Red River mainly plays country music but every hour or so they will play some pop/rap songs to break up the genre a bit. Red River is a great spot to pull up your boots and start dancing! Add this spot to your Dallas list of fun things to do!

Came for my wedding party as the groom going to be married this weekend... whole wedding party got let in except me cause I wore a collared shirt and khaki shorts, they didn't like that it had strings to tighten the pants....? Extremely bizarre dress code as my attire was very formal. Has never happened before... will never be coming back.

We came here from out of town and had a good experience! I called ahead and booked a table for 15 a few days in advance, and I'm glad I did since the place was packed. We got the $75 birthday package on Saturday which gave us free cover and 10 drink tickets + a free bulk ride. Totally worth it! The dance floor is around a bar which was fun. No line dancing aside from a pretty bad attempt at Shivers But there were some steal circles and plenty of good dancers there which made it fun. Overall a great place for a group, and couples dancing. Lots of people asking to dance.

This is my go to spot for country dancing. It is reasonably priced, especially if you go before 8pm, it is a free entry. Plus they give free country dancing lessons around 7pm. It has everything you would want from my country dance hall/bar. They have two set of big bathrooms, large dance floor space, billiards, and a bull riding machine. Their service was appropriate and professional. It's not all perfect, sometimes it gets really crowded, and the people can be rude, and the place could be a little cleaner. Though, it is what you would expect from a bar.

First, I think it's very predatory to charge as much as they do for things at the bar. $13 for a can of Dos Equis? $8 for a La Croix? $7 for a bottle of water? Say what you want about scarcity and economics but this is just a miserable way to treat people. Pregame, bring a flask, do whatever you have to do. Cocktails are $18 and served in a small plastic cup and are mostly ice. Just unbelievably bad value there. The Aoki show had an absolutely miserable parking and traffic management situation. Abysmal. But the worst was the complete lack of line management. The line wrapped all the way around the building. It was raining. There was no covering of any sort so anyone who was standing in line was just getting soaked. What if it had started completely pouring? Again just a terrible lack of planning or concern for the customer experience. And it WAS pouring a little before we got there. Why wouldn't they have something figured out for this? You don't care if your patrons are standing out in the rain? They did not have anyone monitoring the line. It would have moved much faster if someone had been walking the line reminding people to have their IDs and tickets at the ready. Furthermore, there were actually 2 lines, and one of them was wrapped around the building while the other was right next to it and at one point was being fed by the same wraparound but then started to have people bypassing the long line and walking straight up. Staff had no signage and no way to make this clear. If anyone who works here ever bothered to attend a concert like a regular patron does, they would probably see these things pretty easily. Once inside we did not have any problems but I avoided getting ripped off at the bar and went upstairs where it was less crowded. It would be nice to have some venues that care a little bit more.

Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.
