I had a 3-star experience but have empathy for people who had 1-star experiences and am going to say that the execution and attention to customer experience on the venue's part are such that the worse experiences are to be expected here. First, I think it's very predatory to charge as much as they do for things at the bar. $13 for a can of Dos Equis? $8 for a La Croix? $7 for a bottle of water? Say what you want about scarcity and economics but this is just a miserable way to treat people. Pregame, bring a flask, do whatever you have to do. Cocktails are $18 and served in a small plastic cup and are mostly ice. Just unbelievably bad value there. The Aoki show had an absolutely miserable parking and traffic management situation. Abysmal. But the worst was the complete lack of line management. The line wrapped all the way around the building. It was raining. There was no covering of any sort so anyone who was standing in line was just getting soaked. What if it had started completely pouring? Again just a terrible lack of planning or concern for the customer experience. And it WAS pouring a little before we got there. Why wouldn't they have something figured out for this? You don't care if your patrons are standing out in the rain? They did not have anyone monitoring the line. It would have moved much faster if someone had been walking the line reminding people to have their IDs and tickets at the ready. Furthermore, there were actually 2 lines, and one of them was wrapped around the building while the other was right next to it and at one point was being fed by the same wraparound but then started to have people bypassing the long line and walking straight up. Staff had no signage and no way to make this clear. If anyone who works here ever bothered to attend a concert like a regular patron does, they would probably see these things pretty easily. Once inside we did not have any problems but I avoided getting ripped off at the bar and went upstairs where it was less crowded. It would be nice to have some venues that care a little bit more. read more

It's not our fault y'all over sold a show. We purchased tickets in advance and were turned away after spending $15 on parking and $200 on the show. I would say Stereo Live Dallas is one of the more unique venues in the area. I really like that there are two stories to view the show from. I always end up going to the second floor here. The tickets were super affordable, parking was only 10$ during this event. Overall a great experience, it was not super crowded (despite how the photos look, I was never squished). read more

My husband and I went to see JVNA here. It was our first time here. I enjoyed it. The price of tickets were great (we only paid 7 dollars). There is a lot of room to dance and watch the show. It is a nice size venue. Two large bars, though drinks are super pricey! We paid 32 dollars for 2 shots of patron. I would say probably consider pregaming at the gas station across the lot to save money before hand lol. Also- side note they are across from 2 24 hour taco spots! Pretty great! One thing they need to improve on though is the Woman's restroom. The restroom is gross, torn up couches, rusty hand dryer, stall doors that don't close. The bar tenders were super friendly and had good service. Drinks came out fast even when there was a line. All in all I would go again. read more

Worst experience ever. Security has a serious abuse of power. Their ID policy is absolute BS. They pick and choose who to break their policy for. After I was told I specifically wasn't allowed in (after they took my friends technically invalid id) we were trying to find our car and the security guard followed us all the way into the parking lot threatening to trespass us OTW TO THE CAR (we were abt half a football field away from the venue at this point). He then put his hands on my friend in the parking lot. That same security guard during all this was making sexual comments to my friend for example "I would fuck you if you weren't full of shit." Management and security are terrible rude and unforgiving, let me explain: I went with a group of 4, including myself, with 5 tickets total. One of the individuals I was with had left their physical ID in the car (because it's a passport). They brought a photo of the passport with them to the front of the venue, 3 of us had already presented our IDs and were scanning our tickets while the 4th was denied entry due to no physical ID. At this point, I was stepped right inside the doors, I had driven all of us, so I had to step out to unlock my car for the friend to grab his passport. Upon unlocking my car and returning to the front with the valid extra ticket (I had 5), security denied me re-entry. I explained my situation cordially, and the security called his management. After waiting 5 minutes, management came out of the building and yelled "What do you want?". I explained again cordially how I had to step out to unlock my car and I had another unused ticket for myself. The manager looked over and said "Do you see those f**king signs?", pointing to the no re-entry signs. To keep it short, he said i could not re enter the building that night and to go home. I told him my friends were inside and he said "well maybe they'll be leaving with you" and rushed inside. I'm baffled and disgusted. I have no recourse aside from this review. I want change, even if it's just adding explicit verbiage on the re-entry signs instead of being intentionally vague with no explanations. Don't bother coming if you don't have a physical ID, if you even set a single foot outside that door, you will be kicked out and possibly berated by the staff. The best thing about this place is hands down the talent they bring to town. You can see a lot of the top pioneers and Dj's in EDM here for next to nothing $10-$20. Parking is great. The lights/lazers are actually great and sound can be good depending on where you are giving you a great EDM experience locally. Now for everything else... The crowd. Good god. Half of them aren't dancing, they're taking selfies so they can check in and feel cool for being out past Midnight. Half the girls are tanked and you'll find them lined up along a wall doing the hoochie club grind on a random dude in VIP, because that's what you do at an EDM show right? (No). I feel sad for these dj's who play big crowds to have to play the main crowd that comes here. It's kind of an embarrassment but I do wonder if its because of the location of this place as to the people who come here. This place is laid out in such a terrible way that if you want a view of anything, you have to shove yourself onto the side areas which just means you'll have everyone bumping into you every 3 seconds to get by. That's typical at big shows I know but here, you'll feel violated or disgusting 3 minutes in. The amount of weirdos that come up behind you putting their hands on your waist is borderline eww. There's no levels or easy way to enjoy a show without hating life - unless it's a dj people don't know about which means it won't be a packed nightmare. God forbid a fire ever breakout here. They're screwed. There's 3 women restrooms on the main floor. Keep in mind the majority of girls here are 20 year olds who just learned how to try and hold their liquor but don't know how juuuust yet. So you get a bunch of drunk or rollin youngins spending 20 minutes in the bathroom taking their selfies or trying to process how to use a bathroom because they're tanked (and sometimes just vomiting) and you might as well just miss half the show. 3 restrooms for 1000+ people. This is a good idea said who again? Don't get lost when you leave the venue. Between the hookers and drug dealers around the corner, just go to your car and leave when it's done and hope you have enough gas to get you back to a safe part of town. Also, the valet guy who's out front taking $$ just may be the best employee there. We had a flat tire and even the Dallas PD wouldn't help us because they were too busy sitting in their car talking to each other to "serve the public", but the valet guy helped us out. Always nice, definitely my new fav person. Someone give that guy a massive raise. read more

I've been here twice and now that I've tried the VIP area this past weekend, I think it's about time for me to write a review. First and foremost, let me say that EDM is my favorite music genre so of course I'm excited to have a good EDM club nearby. The first time I came here was to see my favorite DJ, Ghastly. I did general admission for that show which was about $15 or $20 I believe. I really do think this venue is the perfect size for the kind of music that is played here. If you don't like crowds, you're definitely going to want to get VIP. Mosh pits can break out at any moment if you're going to be going to a DJs show that has heavy bass. I like the excitement, so I don't mind it. Just be careful :) The second time I came here was for Pauly D from Jersey Shore. Not really an EDM artist per say but he is still a DJ. He was good at getting the crowd hyped up. For this show I did VIP. It costs $25 for this particular show. I really wanted to like VIP more than I did but it was still good. The one thing I really didn't like, and this is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is that lights were at eye level since VIP is on the second floor. Because of that, anytime a DJ used strobe lights I literally couldn't look up. However! They gave us a free shot of tequila up there so how can I complain. Overall, I still think I prefer general admission tickets just because I love the energy and excitement of the crowd at these kind of shows. However, if you don't like being in crowds, especially ones that could potentially get rough, definitely get VIP. This venue gets awesome DJs all the time so I know I'll be back soon. read more

You know that feeling when your guts are about to vibrate out of your body through your mouth? Or when your microorganisms are bouncin' around like they're in a litty centrifuge? All I can say is that sometimes, the bass really is too strong... But it is a EDM centered venue so this is to be expected. So I regret the Korean fried chicken prior to the Tchami show (jk never!!!). Started from the back, it's a chill vibe with lots of dance circles. It's a really fun time back here where people mingle, shuffle around, and people watch. The entertainment truly is right here haha. Then, going towards the middle, people are jammin' comfortably while the bass beats through your legs. The more you move towards the center stage, the more CRAZYYY the bass pumps throughout your being and depending on your sobriety state, can be a bad thing. Venture back or forever hold your insides. But the feeling of being bathed in pure bass is just insane if you're going in. The best DJs come out to Stereo Live and I cannot wait to see more faves in the future. Tchami was just amazing and the crowds were hella PLUR, not caring about my group bouncing all the way to the front. The security didn't give a damn about what anyone brought in, it seems. Now, I'm gonna just hang out in the back and fend off the crazies in the front. Some no-brainers are to hydrate a ton before the show, and piss it away (and answer to your call to nature lol) before entering. Fully digest your meal before putting your bod through this cardio. Bathrooms are a mess, as other reviewers have addressed. Dress minimally... because the heat will turn waaay up the more crammed in you are with the many sweaty strangers. The ventilation (or lack of) was noticeable when the headliner starts, but since I was up front and center, I was blessed with heavenly cool breezes washed over us from above, so maybe that's something to look forward to! Also, the cannons shot out some water too which helped lol. Parking lots were large and accessible, $10 cash. The inside is just a warehouse, like a mini version of The Bomb Factory, VIP is upstairs but looked boring af cuz they barely thrashed!!! Lmao. Overall, have a good time but expect some unbreathable heat, overpriced drinks/water, and good company. Leaving the venue was a breeze too, so that's great. read more

I went here not too long ago to see G-Rex and Buku perform. It was a great show. The tickets were not very expensive and the venue has a great sound system and lighting. Parking was handled well. Now onto the negatives - the drinks were way too expensive, so much that I didn't even consider buying a single drink. $8 for a bud light and $13 for a whiskey coke is a total rip off. $5 for a 16oz water bottle is a crime. Even airports don't charge that much for bottled water and they are the kings of price gouging. Bathrooms are horrendous. There's literally one dirty men's bathroom with two stalls and one toilet and that's it. For the amount of people attending this club y'all should at least have double the amount of bathrooms and keep them clean. This place has potential but it seems like management doesn't want to invest in it any further. read more

I attended Stereo Live - Dallas for my first ever EDM show, so this review is a rock guy's first EDM experience at a highly rated EDM venue. And, my overall experience was very positive, with a few caveats. EDM live is it's own thing, especially in relation to rock, which is my home genre. The show starts at 10 PM, the room is GA only, and the headliner will not take the stage until 12:30 AM. We could have finished another concert at Trees, stopped for food, and still gotten here before the headliner came on. The vibe is like a dance party with no "not the dance floor". The music starts with a DJ who is completely invisible, though standing on a prominently positioned stage, playing very background-ish beats with little dynamic change. Forty-five minutes or so into it, another DJ subs in playing slightly more dynamic beats. Then, a third DJ takes position right at midnight, accompanied by a new set of visuals that contain branded images for the venue and the promoter, who inserts some drops and builds in, but not too many. At this point. the crowd is getting more into it. At almost exactly 12:30 am, a massive volume increase and pulsing lights and video visuals introduced a long dynamic build to the appearance of the headliner (Nero, for us) and we were off on the roller coaster that is the EDM pattern of lull, build, drop, ride the high, repeat. The music was on the loud end of any live show I've ever been to, and I've been to some ear-splittingly loud shows. The light and video system is pulsing, strobing, immersive, to a hypnotic degree, which is the point of the EDM experience. The result was a spectacle. Coming from rock performances to the EDM scene the major things I noticed were the absence of focus on a set of musicians on the stage, in fact there's little focus on anything at all other than the feeling of the music, enhanced only by the lights and video. And FEEL the music I did, to the soles of my feet, the vibrating hairs on my arms, and the pinging of my rib cage. In fact, next time I will take a cue from a guy next to me in the press who brought ear plugs, probably not a popular move within the culture, but definitely hearing-health minded and sensible one if you care about long term enjoyment of live music. Also notable is the high quotient of dancey dudes, more than any other music experience I've had. The music itself was exciting. Nero is a master of creating a fun party flow from song to song. And the drops drove the emotion up and down with dramatic flair. The few nits that keep this from a five-star experience were the cramped bathroom that has only a single serviceable stall, two sinks and one hand dryer, and no mirror. There's a second stall that's unusable as it has no door on it, like seriously? How much does it cost to put a door on the stall? Parking was very easy and $10 to park close by in a fenced-in lot with security walking through it. Getting in was easy, having added my tickets to my Apple Wallet from the EventBrite email, scannable from my phone. And, tickets themselves were a mere $15. My last complaint is that the building is old and could use a general update. It probably doesn't matter to the EDM crowd, lending an agreeable underground grit. read more

Damn, if you want to be treated like trash by security, come here! I love the shows and venue but right after entering the venue, I went to use the restroom and as soon as I walked out of the bathroom, security literally grabbed me by the shoulders and escorted me out. They claimed I was "too drunk" which is perplexing since all I did was walk out of the bathroom. My friends and boyfriend all saw this as they were waiting for me in the main entrance and they were JUST as confused on the reason why I had to leave. Honestly, the security guards are probably high on something because I literally saw people being escorted out one by one like ants. Seriously, what the heck? When I asked if I could do anything like a sobriety test or something to prove that I wasn't too inebriated to enjoy a night out, they said no... What a waste of money to be treated like garbage on a fun night out with friends for their birthdays. Well done, ya'll can now be the best at being clowns at their jobs. Highlight of the night was playing games in the car before the owner of the car next to me arrived angrily at his car before screaming "FUCK" because he just got kicked out too. read more

The second floor is lowkey a great spot if you want to be out of the crowd but its not always open to non vips/if you dont buy a table. If you can get up there then you can get pretty close to the front and have a great view. Honesty, I'm super glad to have went soft opening night. Everything was open and I got to see most of the venue I wouldn't have got to see. Not a big fan of this venue but I love the DJs that come here. UPDATE (9/19/2017) - The last few times I have came to Stereo Live, it has been SOOO HOT (due to a packed/full venue). Fan(s) have been installed in select parts of the venue, but honestly, they are USELESS. If you plan on coming to Stereo Live Dallas, expect to see lots of skin. Your best bet is to sit outside in the smoking area in the back. Also, expect to be DRENCHED in your sweat and other people's sweat. The heat is ridiculous. VIP area review- First off, upstairs is the VIP area only. I believe there are two ways to go up and down from VIP to GA and vice versa. Both stairs are located on the right side of the venue, and they are guarded by security. There is very minimal seating and people are standing most of the time. There is a bar located in the back of the VIP section and it's fairly small, compared to the GA bar. On the sides of the VIP bar, are restrooms. Women on the right, men on the left. For the women, there is only one stall and one sink, there was a long wait line for the restrooms... Visuals in VIP are better because you don't have to look up from a lower level, and you can see the DJ just fine because there is nothing blocking your view. But in my opinion, I don't think VIP is worth the extra money here. GA area review (UPDATE)- There is now seating! If you are in need of a seat, they are located on the right side of the venue or you can find seating in the bathroom! There is a big bar on the left and a mini bar in the back, I recommend the bigger bar for drinks because they have everything you need. The bathroom is small, but has more stalls, seating, and a cleaning worker that is very sweet. She offers candy, paper towels, and other feminine products to you. The dance floor is okay, part of it is "wood" and the rest is carpet. Towards the front, the floor is elevated higher than the back because it is raised on a platform. But if you are planning on staying towards the front, you won't be able to see the DJ or the visuals very well. Also on the GA area, there is an ATM near the entrance, where you can withdraw or deposit money. Its hidden in the dark area but there are lights you can see that will lead you to the ATM. And there is a smoking area! Parking review- Parking is located outside in the front of this venue. It is a big dirt area that has a fence around it. Parking is usually $10-$15. Cash ONLY. Guards will be taking money and watching the lot from the parking entrance. Beware on rainy or wet days, it can get very muddy, so wear shoes you can dance in, but also don't mind getting dirty. (UPDATE) You can now park in The VIP area for $20 but it's not much of a difference between regular and VIP so save your money! (UPDATE) Fflyers will be passed out on your cars! Each flyer is promoting the upcoming events, so don't forget to take a look at them! Overall, I recommend you stay in the general admissions area because VIP isn't worth it. I come here frequently for EDM shows, and I find it to be a great venue. It is small enough that it feels intimate and close-knit, yet big enough to rage and have fun. That also means that the acoustics are wonderful because you can clearly hear the music virtually anywhere in the building. The restrooms are small but clean, with the occasional stall door missing in the girl's restroom. There are plenty of ways to access the bars, which obviously do overcharge for drinks, but they are better than other Dallas venues in terms of portions and prices. There is a second floor to the venue with a bar up there and some lounge seats. Definitely a safer option for people who dislike being in crowds of sweaty people. The lights and lasers are wonderful, and depending on the artist, they can be so overwhelmingly beautiful. Gotta be 18+ to enter. The security cards at the door. You must present a physical ID; they don't accept photos of the ID - letting y'all know from previous experience LOL Ticket prices range from free to $40. The fees on Eventbrite aren't as terrible as Ticketmaster or AXS. The sooner you buy the tickets, the better. Parking is $10. You can pay either at the gate or online, but I recommend buying your ticket online, so the line moves faster. Plenty of spaces. Because the venue is small, I doubt the second lot ever fills up entirely. Also, another note, is that most DJs don't come on the stage until 12-12:30 AM, so a local opener will typically play until then UNLESS the headliner is touring with other DJs! Make sure you look that information up to avoid missing out on anybody. One criticism I would make is the inconsistency of the volume and bass of the speakers. Some nights I would leave half-deaf, other nights I would feel like it was not loud enough or I could not feel the bass. I recommend standing in the middle because the side speakers are SO DEAFENING. Otherwise, I do enjoy coming to Stereo Live for shows. read more

This place has great DJs, great bartenders, great security, and a great crowd. So why a 1 star review? Basically because they fail at providing for basic human rights: the restrooms are filthy (I've been to third world countries with nicer bathrooms), there are no doors on any of the bathroom stalls, and the water cups they provide are tiny as hell- literally tiny mouthwash cups from the dentist office. You better eat at least 8 hours before coming here because there is no place to go #2 in privacy (at least for men). Seriously... @StereoLive: Invest in some bathroom stall doors and I'll write 5 star reviews for you left and right. I'll shout praises for you from the rooftops. Until then, I'll be looking for another EDM club in Dallas PS: You guys should also look at replacing the sink faucets because they only turn off if you swivel them to the EXACT correct angle. You are probably paying a S#*!ton of money on your water bill you could save just by getting automatic faucets. read more

I have been meaning to come to this place for months now but have never found the time due to starting my career as a teacher and being consumed with a lifestyle of high stress, grading, discipling students and dealing with the typical administrative tasks any teacher deals with. I am a die-hard electronic music fan and was really excited to experience the newest venue in Dallas. Die hard as in been to EDC Vegas twice as well as many other festivals and rocking the kandi at all the shows. I went to the Anjuna Beats Tour on March 24th. This is the second best electronic music venue in Texas I've been to behind Kingdom in Austin. I've been to many in multiple cities so that's saying something. There is plenty of space to dance and get your groove on. A wide variety of drinks at decent prices and quick bartenders make for an efficient way to get whatever drink you want. The production here is great with excellent use of confetti, smoke machines and different styles of lighting. The LED screens give excellent visuals but it really depends on the artist as to what type of story you'll get on the screens. The Anjuna Beats artists had predictable visuals but I could see an artist like Seven Lions using the LED screens in an extremely creative and engaging manner. Sound quality here is excellent. The bass is amazing and if you're between the two speakers then you can literally feel the bass make the floor vibrate. There is some distortion in the treble but that is expected for a venue this size. Parking in a fenced lot is $10 and it's fairly quick to get out of. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Dirty, expensive club. Been here a few times for big acts like Martin Garrix and John Digweed and while the speakers are loud enough I'm always amazed by the lack of service and attention to simple things like maintaining the bathrooms. And Mike Long of NightCulture is a liar and a thief. The DJ Snake show that was canceled months ago was never refunded. To his credit he is quite responsive but for action to still not be taken is ludicrous. There are many other clubs in Dallas such as It'll Do or even Lizard Lounge or Bomb Factory that deliver on not just popular acts but caring for their customers. Dallas beware! read more

Amazing sound system and solid setup. I'd say it deserves 4 stars, but the cheap tickets here coupled with the generous pours and sound system makes me want to bump their reputation up. It's not the best venue in Dallas by any means, but they make due well with what they have! read more

This place is awful. Security is the absolute worse and will use anything to try and kick you out of the venue. Drinks are overpriced. Bathrooms are disgusting and haven't been cleaned in years. I will not be returning here. read more

Artist cancelled on their event, This company decided to delete posts on the event page asking for help and details VS tell us what's going on--LAST time my crew will go here. Extremely unprofessional to resort to shady tactics to avoid your own customers who paid for tickets to a show that was cancelled! So much for integrity I guess... read more
