This place, from inside to out, is not much to look at. The essence of a dive bar and the vibe of a gay club is the best way to describe it. It is dark, crowded, set with fog machines, lights and loud music. There are a few bars inside and one outside on the patio, which is where we got most of our drinks. The bartenders inside were a bit friendlier, but the convenience and the fresh air kept pushing us to the outside bar. With that, the drinks are strong and fairly priced, so there is that! It's very large being two stories with several rooms including the Rose Room Lounge which could almost be a separate club all by itself where they host all of their drag shows - lots of famous girls from RuPaul's drag race got their start there. There is a large outdoor deck upstairs as well as downstairs. Drinks are super cheap. This place is known as the "afties" bar because they are open until 4 AM though they will still stop serving alcohol at 2 AM The biggest downside is that they tend to charge a cover almost every night, which is pretty annoying, but I guess that's standard for Dallas. Definitely the best place to come dance if you're looking for pop music and some throwbacks

Maybe after the drag show finished some dancing happened. On the positive side, there were mostly women there. The $6 cover didn't bother me. And I had to try one of their famous coconut drinks, especially since the character Sue Ellen was a raging alcoholic on the Dallas TV show. I started laughing when I saw the big pink neon sign inside that says "i CAME in Sue Ellen's" that is hung on a wall with leaves that looks like a bush. And the place looks like a lot of fun with 2 floors, pool tables and a gigantic bar inside. There's a terrace outside where patrons can sit and to relax. I didn't try the food. After a couple of drinks at Sue Ellen's, you can always go and check out JR's upstairs.

Once you walk in the door, they have a number of seating options between tables, the bar and even a private outdoor patio. Drinks are very reasonably priced and definitely pack a punch. The staff is awesome and always very friendly. Nice to have a place to hang out without having to drive all the way to Dallas or Fort Worth.

DJs often play at many different clubs trying out their latest mixes and experimenting with how the crowd moves. I've yet to be disappointed by Son of Sam when he is regaling the goths. He keeps it aligned and on theme for Panoptikon nights. Sometimes there will be some EDM heavy moments, but goth nights are opportunities to play the latest dark wave, cold wave, shoe gaze, etc mixes. Lord Bryon has cultivated something more aligned with the original goth scene in Dallas than It'll Do Club's "The Church" (an attempt at reviving 2424 Swiss Ave Lizard Lounge's "The Church").

I was performing on a Saturday night & this was my first time playing in Dallas (I DJ). The whole staff was nice, really nice. They took care of me & everyone else on the bill. The place was spacious, I like how the tables were along the side wall while across is the bar + bar seating. In-between where the open floor sits the stage platformed high against a back wall. The sound was really good & they left the car garage looking doors up, which caught attention from those who were walking by outside. I enjoyed myself that night. I'll always come back, even when I'm not DJing. What I also enjoyed were the number of TVs on deck playing plenty of college football(this was the night of OU vs UT). The bar service was fast and drinks were fairly reasonable in price with beers being five dollars and cocktails $11. If you are dancing, you will find it is very hot and sweaty. But sweating out your drinks may be a good thing because it takes at least 20 minutes to go to the bathroom. The crowd leaned towards the young side. I would say 21-27yo range. I would definitely bump my score up to 4-stars if they could improve the air-conditioning and bathroom wait time.

Not only is it the perfect balance between a lounge and a club, it ditches the normal "section" culture, for a vibe that embraces community! First impression, it seems it is tucked away in a hidden corner, the parking, I will say, is a bit meh, BUT the vibes are so worth it! I will also note the establishment is not big at all, but I also feel that adds to the lounge vibes overall! You first step in and to the left you can spot their popular photo booth that has taken Dallas by storm! Then you walk in to be greeted by their bar which is connected to their dance floor and raised dj booth! The dance floor is amazing! It is graces by one of the most gorgeous disco balls I have ever seen! Definitely adds to the vibe! Over the ambiance, paired with the amazing music and drinks, makes this one of the best nightlife spots to hit if you are in the area! Don't forget to get there early! Because that line is LONG! lol!
