What a damn good time!! Seriously! Non stop dancing. On Friday nights there's a bomb a$$ band, great singing, and a bunch of happy people ready to have a good time. It's a nice sight to see! We stopped for the band and a nightcap after grabbing dinner downtown. There were 2 special bartender drinks on the menu. I can't rememeber the name but we tried them both, didn't like them and had to send it back. We ended up with Whiskey straight up. I've been in & out of Deep Ellum for a majority of my life & never noticed this was Three Links. I was always told about it, I even remember Serious Pizza & Voodoo Donuts in that area, now I'll remember Three Links. I was performing on a Saturday night & this was my first time playing in Dallas (I DJ). The whole staff was nice, really nice. They took care of me & everyone else on the bill. They have a nice patio out back with a high enough fence that no one could see me from the outside looking in. The place was spacious, I like how the tables were along the side wall while across is the bar + bar seating. In-between where the open floor sits the stage platformed high against a back wall. The sound was really good & they left the car garage looking doors up, which caught attention from those who were walking by outside. I enjoyed myself that night. I'll always come back, even when I'm not DJing. What I also enjoyed were the number of TVs on deck playing plenty of college football(this was the night of OU vs UT). That's a bonus for me when it comes to a bars + venues because I really like sports & to have options whenever it's present. read more

Stopped in last night, lady at the door was super nice, the band was great, drinks were ok so we stayed for a bit and and then closed out our tab (68 dollars) and left to move onto another bar down the street. When we went to open our tab at the next bar and he realized he didn't have it so we went back but when we arrived she did have our card but also another bill for us, half of the last tabs price and none of which we had drank, since we closed out before we left the first time. This is th LAST place on earth that anyone should be going to. Let me tell you, I walked in with my boyfriend on a Friday night, the girl at the door was having some kind of "SENSITIVE-MOOD" night. There was a band playing so it was very loud and hard to hear. She told us the cover charge was $5 but we couldn't hear, so she had to repeat it twice (which annoyed her) so she rolled her eyes at us. We gave them $10-for-2, but I guess we needed a wrist band (which we did not know so we started walking in after we paid), but again, since it was loud, she had to repeat that we needed a wrist band twice - which annoyed her even more! She got so annoyed for having to repeat herself, we were IMMEDIATELY asked to leave! Keep in mind, we had only paid and stepped inside, but not ONE WORD was spoken from us the entire time (but somehow we've offended her with no words)...yet because they were so annoyed from having to say it twice, we got kicked out...all for not being able to hear!!! Common sense alone would tell ya you might need to repeat yourself in a LOUD environment, and if you can't handle dealing with people at all...MAYBE (perhaps just a bright idea?), don't work in a social environment where you'd have to talk to people and repeat yourself. Note to the bands playing here, just know that while you've worked hard and put in a lot of hours practicing, you're audience/crowd was turned away from seeing you, simply because of an emotional girl at the door. To those reading this, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, where you can be treated with respect instead of based on the mood of some emotional young girl at that time. read more

The best dive bar I have ever been in. They get great local and national touring bands. The beer is reasonably priced and they make some nice drinks. The service is good and they do their best during some of the larger shows. You just need to have a little patience. If I lived closer I'd drop by every day. Some of the staff has been around for years and treat you like family. read more

I've known about Three Links ever since I lived in Texas. It replaced the old La Grange, a place I never set foot in either. When I left Texas, Deep Ellum was only starting to get its mojo back. Many places had been closed and the wrong element was all over the area. Then businesses decided to come back. Trees reopened, Coyote Ugly came to the area (also now gone) and Three Links opened as well. Three Links has become a place for punk and ska music. From the past posters I saw hanging, some impressive acts have passed through those doors. My buddy, who loves this places and comes as much as he can, says that the owner really likes the atmosphere that he's created here and the staff seems to live it. There were no angry bouncers, the bartenders never seemed rushed even when the areas were getting packed around them. Granted, we were there for a Monday night show, so it wasn't sardine packed at all. One thing that stood out to me was the selection of beers. I was very impressed. They are also linked up to Fuzzy's Tacos right next door, so you can grab some grub and hang out on the patio out back with one of the great craft beers. As for the bands, you are right up close to them, no barriers, no bouncers and the crowd, minus one fool getting up on stage, was excellent and enjoyed the acts we saw. It was cool that I was in town for a couple of bands that I enjoy seeing live. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to make my way back in. Really cool club. Enjoy. read more

I went with roommate and friends on Christmas. Great show, the band was awesome. I have been to three links always a fun spot. But what isn't fun is catching a bartender trying to upcharge you. First drink of the night, ordered an old fashioned and a shiner. No big deal. She asked what whiskey and I told her Tx. She asked open or closed prior to making the drink and I said open. After she brought the beer and TX old fashioned, I said hey sorry, I'm bad about leaving cards can you close me. Here we go.... Tab comes out and it's 30 bucks. I did a double take and then read the items listed. The receipt said: shiner 6 bucks- that's normal Whiskey 12 bucks- that's normal And an extra charge that said martini 12 bucks. Wait what the fuck?! So I asked her why did I have a martini, maybe it was a mistake. She gave me some bullshit about making it a double instead of 4 oz of whiskey she did 6 oz. Ok lady, nice try but if that was the case where are the remaining two ozs, why did you upcharge me without asking, and why is it listed as a martini? To all the questions above her response was to snatch my drink and card back. Saying she would remake the drink and refund the difference. Which she refunded and then just handed the snatched drink back. Probably because her ass just got caught trying to double tap my card and didn't want to remake a single which is what was already in the snatched glass. Mind you, first order at the bar of the night, completely sober. Just came in from Xmas with the fam bam. I wasn't a drunk asshole. Long story short, come for the music, only order beer or shots, pay cash and watch these deep Ellum bartenders who would love nothing more than to stack drinks and expect 20 percent of the make believe beverages you never ordered. I have been to three links now several times. They have some of the coolest bands play. Tonight I'm here fOr a Austin based group called The FlameTrick Subs. I have seen other acts a such as Bob Log III, Amigo The Devil, and Harley Poe and several other acts. My only complaint is the restroom situation. Always a huge line. Need more bathroom or something. Man, I f-ing love Dallas. If you want to hang out in a bar/live venue steeped in Masonic imagery, that shows Breaking Bad instead of football, where the patrons are tatted up, but just as friendly as they could be, where else are you going to live? LA? Too expensive. New York? Unfriendly. Austin? OK, sure, maybe Austin, but you live here already! Three Links wins big for the most artful and innovative decor of any space I've ever bent an elbow in. The bartenders and patrons are rockabilly/skin/punk/mod subculturalists and look cool as Hell. Whoever is in charge of how this place looks is a genius. Music is top notch, the last time I was there, the Give 'Em the Boot compilation was on, you might hear the Ducky Boys or Social D too. Drinks are surprisingly cheap, I have walked out with a single-digit tab more than once. Lots of liquids on tap, and the bartenders are quick with a shot of booze. You can get food from Fuzzy's next door, and the place is the first on Elm St (maybe in Deep Ellum) to open in the afternoon. This is the kind of bar that could only exist in Dallas, where entrepreneurs are able to experiment and pursue their vision without breaking the bank. I'll be back as many times as I can. read more

I've always wanted to come here from the time I saw the place while driving by. Last night is that night after walking around the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. They didn't have any band schedule for tonight I'm guessing because it's Easter. I'm glad they are open Easter Sunday. Food they offer comes from Fuzzy's next door. If we haven't eaten we could have easily take their HH promo of Two Baja Tacos + PBR or Lonestar for only $5 or additional $1 if you want a local craft instead. We will definitely come back toed perineum the vibe when there's live music. read more

This place first caught our eye around Halloween time for it's eye catching decorations. We came back for a concert, Nite and Seabound; selections as unique as the decor! There was plenty of open floor, but also some decent seating around with a few tables and some chairs along the walls and bar. There was also plenty of air circulation between the fully open wall to the outside and the ceillng fans. So, it was quite comfortable even with a packed house. The best part was when I ordered an unsweet tea at the bar. They didn't have any but quickly accommodated the request by running next door to get some from Fuzzy's next door. He took the seats and placed them near the stage and others immediately sat in them. Why not just ask us to relocate with out seats if you needed the space RIGHT BESIDE THE DOOR and allow us to keep our seats? Great bar in Deep Ellum to see a show at, but not to just get a beer at if your not seeing a show. I frequent this place due to they often cater to the Ska/Punk scene. Large beer selection nothing generic on draft but that's a good thing. Small venue overall but usually always enough space for the shows I am at. Stage is low & personal. Cover is usually $15 or less. Patio out back is large & covered. Bathrooms usually decently clean. Many bars around it too, I like to see a show here but not really a bar to just go grab a drink at. Our favorite time to go is on Friday and Saturday day time, John is behind the bar slinging drinks and smiling to all who enter. Doesn't matter how slow or how busy, he takes care of everyone, and it's 25% the price of drinks until 8 p.m.!! What a deal!! Lots of beers on tap, lots more in cans, and mixed drinks are great!! If you want something really different, tell John what you like and he will whip something up just for you. If you're hungry, run to one of the places close by and bring your food in. Dog friendly patio action. Clean bathrooms. Music? You might hear punk, rock, old country, rockabilly...whatever the vibe of the day is. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Beware!!!!!! I didn't get to enjoy Halloween because we ended up at this horrible bar. There was a promoter doing the Saturday before Halloween. He had alllll of his friends there. There were screaming at this lady to get out of the one stall bathroom and said telling her they're with the promoter so she needed to get out of the restroom so they could all use it. When she fired back and told them they were being rude they all ganged up on her. The promoter started acting like he was reaching for a gun. They were cussing the lady out, simply because she had a costume on and needed to pull it back up. I have NEVER Seen grown men treat a lady like that. I was just waiting in line to use the restroom and I had to leave after seeing that. It felt really dangerous in there and very very very bad environment. Three Links reminds me of a more brightly lit Spider Babies from the early 2000's in Deep Ellum, except with a much better beer list and better bands that get booked. So, maybe that comparison to Spider Babies was a bit of a stretch. Regardless, Three Links is the fucking ish, man. Where else can you see bands like 7 Seconds, The Dwarves, Teenage Bottlerocket, Masked Intruder and others in an intimate venue with an open front garage style door to the street with some of the best craft beers in town being served at a reasonable price? Seriously. Tell me. Because Three Links has a fucking monopoly on this. And good for them, because they do it right. As someone closer to 30 than they are to 18, but still wanting to stand on the edge of a pit screaming the songs that shaped me into the angsty pseudoanarchist living in the suburbs that I am today, Three Links is a breath of fresh air in the Deep Ellum venue scene. It's what the new rendition of Red Blood Club wishes it could be. A safe place with good beer and Kevin Seconds up on stage playing you the songs you've always loved. read more

A refreshingly (mostly) clean independent music venue...how nice! I went to Three Links for a weekend concert and was impressed. They've got a decent beer selection- there is a limited number draft but they do have a long list of a craft cans for really reasonable prices ($5-7 for higher ABV). The art and décor is really unique and badass (while still being a little creepy with the IOOF touches). They did a great job with the velvety red drapes on the stage and in front of the speakers... makes for some classy pictures! When I first arrived there were quite a few tables with chairs in the main area, but they were moved and stored to make room for the show. It's surprising how many people ended up fitting in that space! It got difficult to make your way to the bar for a drink, but that's to be expected with that many people in a room. Pretty similar layout to The Prophet Bar down the road. But hey, they had room for a good old school punk pit, (which the staff allowed) so it works! There's a large smoking deck behind the bar with plenty of seating and a partially-covered patio. The only downfall I really saw was that it was a single bathroom per gender, which developed quite a line later in the night and inevitably ran out of toilet paper. They're located on opposite sides of the stage and can be difficult to get to in a crowd. Side note: a Fuzzy's Taco Shop is coming in right next door. Cheap beer, good food... a nice new option rather than always going to Zini's Pizza across the street. Nice addition to Deep Ellum. I'll be back! read more

The absolute best concert venue in all of DFW. Punk bands of all flavors come here and the size is close enough to interact with the band as well as join them on stage (when invited to of course ). Staff are supportive of bringing bands like this. They have the doors open, which is a large garage door like front to lure in fans or allow those to view who missed out on sold out concerts. Highly recommend this place for great music and great atmosphere. Been here many times and have always enjoyed it. read more

Went here with a couple of friends, the place was over crowded and spilling out onto the sidewalk. The only thing separating the public from the bar was a sort of seat belt line. I started gathering chairs for my fiance and friend. It was me and 3 other people 2 guys and my friends girlfriend, I politely asked a few people if I could use their chairs and on man told me which ones were available and which ones were not. When my fiance and friend came back with our drinks I went to get on of the chairs next to the man, and he grabs the chair and tells me I can't have it..... I thought he was joking so I laughed and then he blew up on me and started cursing and telling me I can't have the chair.. I stepped back angry and told him it's cool and I wasn't trying to be rude.. He continues telling me "You don't fu**ing listen" and stands up acting like he was about to hit me. I told him it's cool, and I'm chill.. (trying really hard not to hit this guy in the face) I decided to STAND and finish my drink while everyone sat down.... Two people at his table got up and left, behind me I hear "you can have those chairs" I looked back and said that it was ok, I'd just stand (I really just wanted to finish my drink and LEAVE). After I said I didn't want the chairs he continued by calling me "A fu*king bi*ch".. At this point I just blew up and started yelling at him, I got the bouncer and so he comes over to clear up the situation and the first thing he asks this man is "Did you call her a bi*ch?" And the jerk replies.. "Yes, she's being bi*chy"... long story short.. the bouncer doesn't do SH*T or kick this man out.. I leave and I'm standing outside of this seat belt rope thing and my friends girlfriend walks up and asks me to help her finish her drink so we could leave faster, I take the drink and the PATHETIC excuse for a bouncer walks up rudely GRABS the drink from my friend and kicks them out "for feeding the public alcoholic beverages"....... SERIOUSLY!? Someone can call me a b*tch and try to start fighting with a female in your bar and escalating a situation OVER A CHAIR and not get kicked out but you kick out people trying to finish their drinks so they could LEAVE anyways.. I'm a local in deep ellum and go there for business purposes all the time.. this situation was ridiculous.. You guys need to invest in a much better bouncer.. That guy was an idiot! No worries, I won't ever be coming back to this bar. read more

Poor deep ellum has been trying to make a come back in recent years and three links is def a great place. One of my favorite bar / venues in dallas. Punk, rockabilly, ska music. No charge at the door unless a band is playing. Live shows here are super fun and not expensive. (National and local acts.) Fun small bar. Good crowd. Super-friendly bartenders and a decent selection of beer. Smoking is allowed on the outdoor covered patio in back or street side. Bonus! Fuzzys tacos is right next door so you can order a taco or 2 and eat it at the bar or sit outside and enjoy it during the one or two weeks of beautiful texas weather. :-) Just go and have a great time. read more

Excellent music venue. One of my favorite places to see a show down in Deep Ellum. Mainly it's a punk venue, but I've seen rappers and alternative artists there as well. Nice stage set up, and no spot in the place is a bad place to stand. The tickets are relatively cheap as well. Only downside to this venue is the location of the bathrooms. People have to cut through the crowd to get to them. This can be distracting and frustrating for both the person trying to get to the bathroom as well as the people they're having to say excuse me to. Overall though, this venue is nice. It's an intimate venue where you can be up close and personal with your favorite acts. read more

We attended a concert here recently and had a great time. The venue is small and open to the outside so on some days, I think that's probably nice but on our night was a bit chilly. I found it super annoying that the restrooms are behind the stage so you are constantly getting asked to move by people going back and forth but, that eventually happens at any concert. The staff was friendly and the prices were pretty reasonable. I left my credit card there that night (the bar takes it for the tab vs swiping and returning it), and was unable to contact them to ensure they had it and apologize or whatever. There is no phone number! When I asked the bartender about it the next day, she said to Facebook them. That was a little odd but it's my fault for leaving my card there! I'd definitely go back for another show! read more

Usually stop by this bar while hanging out in Deep Ellum. They have a cool back patio that is dog friendly (used to be able to bring them in the bar but apparently recently the health inspector stopped by there and saw that and wasn't a fan) so now it's patio only. They have a good local selection of beer on top and happy hour on Saturdays until 8! I haven't been for any shows but from what I hear it's a cool place to go for live music shows.
