We recently joined The Epic, switching from another local gym, for the indoor swimming & kids activities. Our only complaints, some staff are unable to answer our questions & point us to the website, which wasn't able to answer our question to start with... for example, one of the main reasons we joined, after visiting in person, was the summer camp. We went home to join & register online, as was suggested by staff (versus registering in person at the facility), to find out the summer camps were already full. You can't tell that the camps are full online, until you've already purchased a membership. Staff should have had knowledge of camps being at full capacity & been able to tell us that information during our tour of the facility. A plus for us, the family swim hours, swim lessons, & family changing areas. We also love the indoor walking track. read more

Being members since their inaugural year means we've been through their growing pains like during COVID, their budget deficits, and more. I overall recommend this place especially for the group fit. While the selection isn't very diverse, consistently I can expect yoga, Pilates, and CrossFit. From time to time there's other classes, but having group fit is something I really enjoy. The kids programs are overall great. The staff that oversee it are friendly and I can tell they actually enjoy kids. I don't see staff on their phones, and they typically know my kids' names before I sign them in. They're going through more changes with their kids stuff, but overall after myself and other parents voiced our concerns they seemed to take our opinion into consideration after much debate. Overall, it's a good facility and I hope they continue to find ways to be inclusive of all their members, and not just the gym bros. read more

While on a fam trip to Texas we were taken to The Epic to experience their light show. It was truly a magical experience for our family. The event was well organized. There was plenty of parking and clear signage guiding visitors to the entrance. As soon as we stepped into the venue, we were welcomed by an impressive display of lights that illuminated the entire area, creating a festive atmosphere. The light show itself was the highlight. It featured a stunning array of colors, synchronized with music, that captivated both adults and children alike. The attention to detail in the displays was remarkable. Everything from the twinkling lights to the larger than life sculptures felt thoughtfully curated. In addition to the light show, there's various family friendly amenities, including restaurants, and several areas where families could sit, relax, and enjoy the show without feeling crowded. Our visit was an unforgettable experience that left us all in awe. It's a perfect destination for anyone looking to enjoy a heartwarming, festive experience with their loved ones. It was a really nice place to hang out with family, friends, and my dog. We took a walk around the water. If you're going to eat there. I'd advise getting on the wait list and then taking a walk. There were so many happy pets and people out there. This day they had Dinosaurs on the lawn, for the kids to see. Most of them moved a little. They had a workout class going on out there. It was St. Patrick's day. It was pretty busy down there. I'd definitely go back. read more

We recently got a membership at The Epic, and we love it. It is conveniently located for us and not very busy during the time we are able to get here. There are also a lot of other things to do in this are now, so before or after we can go to the Epic Indoor Water Park or go play pickle ball at Chicken N Pickle. Great walking/running track inside. Lots of work out equipment/machines. Cross fit and other group fitness classes. Open basketball courts. Rooms for your company to have meetings in or to have a birthday party in. There are also art classes and a recording studio, just to list a couple other things you can take advantage of. Staff is really nice and helpful. Lots of parking as well. Get a membership here and take advantage of the many things you can do here. Support your city facilities to help better yourself! read more

I needed a good massage therapist. I found a needle in a haystack! I highly recommend Ivonne Perez. I wanted to find a Massage therapist that would help with my anxiety. Let me tell you, I walked in as a 10 and left as light as a feather. The simple fact that I don't have to have a membership and that I can schedule with her whenever I want is a plus for me. She also does body contouring and Wood therapy. She is very professional and I love her new location inside the epic in grand prairie! read more

The floor also runs the whole length of the building so there is plenty of work out equipment for everyone. That means no waiting on Weights. They also offer upgrades to your membership such as a paid babysitting service staffed with Red Cross CPR- Certified, Background Checked, Drug/Alcohol Tested sitters that really care for the kids. They also have two Arcade rooms, one of which is dedicated to teens 13-17 (Aptly named Zone 13-17) and an indoor swim area with a water-based play structure for the kids.
