This is a great place to take cool pictures or complete an outdoor workout/ ride bikes. I didn't get to do much we were just site seeing but they have a really cool rock wall sculpture that you can climb. This place is also great for bike riding or just a mid day or morning jog. Cool place to just take a nice walk and enjoy the views of the buildings down town

This was a nice little trail near our hotel in Dallas. Unfortunately I only got out on this trail one morning. What I was able to experience was very nice, but the trail was not as long as I had hoped. The direction I ran, the trail ended abruptly. A friend had run on the other end of the trail and had a similar experience. Maybe we missed something but it seemed like just when this trail was getting really good, it ended. Hopefully there are plans to expand it for the future. Good for a short run but had potential to be more.

Popular spot for photo shoots! Lots of Quinceanera shoots the day we visited

I chose this as a surprise birthday outing for my partner since we are both new to the area and had noticed the beautiful suspension bridge (Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge) nearby but had not yet gotten close to it or taken a walk on any of the nearby trails. I found the free parking lot and trailhead by happy-accident the week before while traveling to Oak Cliff and knew right away that it was going on the bucket list of things to do in the DFW! Our visit couldn't have been better timed than right after a full two weeks of rain, cold temps, and flood conditions. The sun was out, it reached 70 degrees, there were people of every age, size, shape, and color out enjoying a walk, public scooter, playground/climbing area, loungers, tables, or benches. There is so much to enjoy on the pedestrian-only (Ronald Kirk) bridge that is part of the Skyline Trail and presents incredible city-scapes and picture ops! Definitely a must-see and do in the DFW! I can't wait to return and take out-of-town guests!

Very nice views with a great walking trail. Everytime I visit Dallas I have to stop by this place. Great seating to just sit down and read a book or look at the skyline. Very peaceful place. Beautiful at night and well lit. Will definitely be returning.

The park has a very good skyline of downtown Dallas as you doing the Trinity River Walk area. They really make this park to be more family-oriented especially a bridge over walking from the Bishop Arts District area to downtown Dallas. If you're in the Dallas area this is something you should definitely take time to see and walk across good exercise. My wife says it's very romantic

Sky's the limit There is a new jogging/biking trail in town, and it just happens to have the best view of town. The Trinity Skyline Trail is a game changer! Finally, the area between the levees will become a recreational jewel instead of the neutral zone between affluent Dallas and the often forgotten other half. This trail is part of the new regional biking superhighway initiative that will connect downtown Dallas and downtown Ft. Worth. For the most part, the trail is still pretty bare bones. While some of the trails are brand new, it also connects to the older more delapidated Trammell Crow loop. There are a few broken sections and a lot of to be paved sections. There are only a handful of benches scattered throughout and no water fountains are to be found, so make sure to bring your own. The Trinity can be seen at several points, but a lot of the heavy brush hasn't been cleared out. Still, you can definitely see the endless potential for a majestic park if this space is properly developed. The views of downtown are great, as are the cow sculptures at Trammell Crow park. Once the Sylvan Avenue Bridge is completed, there will be two parking areas, but for the time being, park at the Continental Pedestrian Bridge Park. As long as the Trinity Toll Road stays dead, these empty river bottom fields will one day be the crown jewel of Dallas' Park system. Field of Dreams

Trinity Skyline Trail is an excellent use of this public space! Beautiful nature scenery, wild flowers and the river, yet right in the city. Also features a bicycle tire fix it station- which is pretty cool. Neat, planned graffiti under the bridge and lots of turtles by the waste water pipe (I know, gross, but there were tons of turtles!) A great place to walk, run or bike. Plenty of benches to rest, if needed. Great parks in this city! Nice job planning this out to make good use of this space.

Enjoyed it, great views, need to work on showing folks how to exit the park, though, thought i was going to have to retrace my steps to get to other side where i started, finally decided to make my way across the old bridge next to the new big white one, i thought i might still be in use, but they have turned it into a place for people to sit and exercise and such, some beautiful artwork underneath one of the bridges as well

This is the kind of city planning that has me excited to be in Dallas. Amazing community building/community space built out of an old bridge (?). Playground, benches, tables, flower beds line the bridge all with a view of the larger bridge next to it and downtown skyline beyond. Would be nice two walk off a brunch from one of the Trinity Groves restaurants here or go after as a reward from a long walk.

Another view of Dallas from under MHH.

Ask the Community - Trinity Skyline Trail

Would this be safe to run early morning like 5:30-6 by yourself?

Personally, I don't recommend it. It's not a well maintained trail and it can be very quite. Not sure about how safe it is.

The Harry Moss Trail is a hike/mountain bike trail maintained by DORBA (Dallas Off Road Bicycle…read moreAssociation) and part of the larger Harry Moss Park. It is located off of Greenville Avenue just north of Walnut Hill. Access is through the parking lot of Buckeye Liquor down a non paved road. Being new to mountain, or since we're in flat country, off road biking I was a little apprehensive about the whole experience. This trail was recommended by several sources as being more newbie friendly. It consists of several connected trails through mostly forested land. The trails are "single track" which means one-way. Bikers travel in a counterclockwise direction, hikers clockwise. It's safer that way. For the less experienced, there are numerous bypasses. More experienced bikers can tackle more technical routes. Each trail is assigned a color and, from what I could tell, the Blue Trail is the beginning. While I have logged many, many miles on my bike cruising around White Rock Lake, I found that this off road gig was ten times more challenging. And, by challenging, I mean by the time I was finished I was whipped. Like most parks of this nature, it is closed after a rain. But the DORBA website is really quick to spread the word. DORBA, a volunteer organization, maintains most if not all such parks. Their workdays are listed on their website and they welcome volunteers. DORBA also hosts numerous clinics and competitions. Unlike some of the pictures listed here, I found the property to be very well maintained. Not a bit of litter did I see. Oh, and by the way, the DWF area is consistently recognized by outside sources as having some of the best off road trails in the country.

The off roading trails have been open for years, but the hiking trails just opened up in March 2018 and I'm kicking myself that we hadn't checked this place out sooner. The park itself is in between Bridgeport and Chico, off of 101, but is closer to Bridgeport. It's set pretty far back off 101, but is clearly marked with signage, and easy to find. The parking lot was clean & large, with port-a-potties, trash can, picnic tables, and a map of the park available. Right off the parking lot was an entrance to the Butterfield Trail, with complimentary walking sticks available to assist you, which I thought was a really lovely, thoughtful touch. Since it was our first time here, though, and we had the kids with us, we tried out the shortest, easiest trail available: the Oil Rig. The pathways were well-marked and easy to follow. The "easy" hike was truly easy, more of a nature walk than a hike. It was perfect for the time of day and the company we had. My daughter called everything "fairy" this or that because between the light and how beautiful the landscape was, it really was magical. All in all, it was a perfect experience and we can't wait to go back and try another trail.

I was disappointed with this place although it was so busy. Lastly, the park doesn't have good lighting for the nighttime so be careful and don't get too far from the parking lot after sunset.

The rest of the trail is flat. The neighborhood it passes through is very safe. The trail runs through grass lined with native Texas wildflowers. I even saw a bluebonnet amongst the spring blooms.
