Fantastic spot for a fun and unique indoor activity! 100% recommend a visit to Smoking Axes! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for some axe throwing. They gave us two lanes for three people which was very generous of them. For 75 minutes at $27 per person, the price is incredibly reasonable. Pro tip: if you check-in on Yelp you can get 10% off! The individuals who run the place are amazing! The gentleman did a terrific job of explaining how to throw the axe. He constantly checked in with us to see if we had any questions or needed help correcting our form. They also came around to give us free Jell-O shots which was such a nice touch :) TL;DR - Awesome place for some axe throwing! Service is phenomenal - perfect if you're new to the activity. I had a great time at Smoking Axes a few weeks ago. I went with a large group through our HOA and we rented 2 lanes. Most of us were noobs at throwing knives and axes and the staff did an excellent job of walking us through what needed to occur so everyone had a safe and enjoyable time. I was super impressed with the beer selection as well as their food menu. I didn't personally eat anything but all of the sandwiches that came out looked amazing. I wasn't really sure what to expect with my first time Axe-Throwing but this place was a great time!! We were visiting from CA and wanted something to do amidst the snow storm. The owner is really nice - made cocktails for us and showed us the ropes on throwing. Gave us some pointers as well, then just let us be! They play good music, have plenty of space and it is absolutely safe (we brought my 1-year-old nephew with us), and have good food and drinks. They've got beer and Ranch Waters along with cocktails they mix themselves (I had the strawberry water and vodka) and they were delicious! For a date night out complete with excitement, food, and alcohol, it was less than $100. Not bad! read more

This place was AWESOME!! We went on Good Friday and they were open. The owners (husband and wife) were there and they were so kind! At first, I didn't do well with the axe throwing (it's a whole workout!!) and the owner stayed until I got the hang of it. You can't find another date night like it! We also played connect four and some of the other table games. My wife and I had an amazing time. They even gave us ax throwing lessons. It's not as easy as it looks. Large selections of drinks in bottles and on tap. Complimentary popcorn. Movie theater fresh popped popcorn. They have a slush machine for frozen margaritas and daquiries also. read more

You walk in the door to the manly smell of wet wood, beer, and lost bets. We came in for a 15 year olds birthday party. We had a group of 8 and were in 2 of many bays. The host was a bit overwhelmed as he got hit with multiple groups at once but super nice and pleasant. The throwing bays are nice and the targets stay moist due to the sprayers hanging from the top of the bay. The axes are provided but I think their alignment is off as I couldn't seem to make them stay in the target. ‍ The location is a bit small and can be cramped at times but is well worth your time. They have beer, frozen drinks, soft drinks, and food. Bottom line, would definitely return but next time with drinking age friends. read more

I'll say this...I went from never throwing an axe before to being proficient enough to wield axes in both hands (or even two in one hand) and sticking them both in the target where I wanted them to go! Carlos & Gary were the friendliest owners I've met in a long time. They actually cared about our experience and made sure my wife and I had a great time! I had a reservation for my husband's birthday for April 17th. I made the reservation two weeks ago. When I called today to double check that everything was good to go, the number was disconnected. I found a different way to contact them but they informed me that they will be closed for a few weeks dues to issues with management. I didn't get a call or any notification that my reservation had been cancelled. If I hadn't have called, we would have shown up tomorrow night with a large group of people to a closed venue. I understand they must have had big issues to have to close so immediately, but a phone call would have been nice. read more

What a fun place to go for date night! We came here with no clue how this would be. They made us feel right at home, food was great (we ordered the pork nachos). One thing we wished is for them to have mixed drinks. Their variety of drinks was good, had a ton of local beers and tap beer as well. We just prefer mixed drinks. Other than that, it was an exceptional experience. We spent about $90 for the evening, not bad considering we had food and 4 frozen drinks. We will be back for sure!
