My experience pertains to the Homeschool Archery classes on Thursdays. This week we finally had a chance to visit to see how much my kiddo already knew (we have shot arrows with her a few times), but in an actual range. We really had a wonderful session! The Event Center is so lively and has a lot of space for people. It would be perfect to rent out for a venue. They have a merchandise desk when your first walk in, snacks, hoodies, etc. Everything looks clean and well-taken care of too. We will be back! read more

So, I am 100% a city-gal, but I loved archery in school and summer camp. Soooo, I was excited to visit Cinnamon Creek Ranch after a friend mentioned the indoor archery WITH equipment rentals. Was a fairly quick drive via I-35, & my map app took me to the correct location. Staff is so friendly AND teach classes, or, like for me, they will give you a 2-3 minute refresher before you start. You rent a target at the range ($15 in March 2024), & you can rent a compound bow and arrows ($20 each in March 2024) that are honestly in really good shape. The range's targets are well spaced. They even have axe throwing in another area, if you're into that. They also have high-top tables and chairs for friends/family to sit and 4 big tvs on the wall for those not shooting. TIP: When you arrive for archery, go to the building on your left when you park (marked "Event Center" and "A") bc the building on the right is for game processing. I went in with my longbow today and I was very excited to learn more about what I needed to make my hunting season experience better this year. I go in and I am waiting a little for someone to notice me and a man says "What do you need help with" and I said I am looking for arrows. He takes me to the arrow area and he asks to see my bow. Mind you, it is a custom longbow my dad got me when I was probably 16/17. I show it to him and he just tells me everything that I am doing wrong. I haven't used it in a long time so I was just like "Oh, okay. I haven't used it in a long time." He proceeds to tell me how my string is wrong, not twisting the right ways, how I store it wrong and then he starts to say that I can't draw the 40 pound weight it is at. I tell him I can and he said "Hmmm ok". I tell him that the bow is custom made for me, and he begins to string it up and I tell him he has to bend it for the sting to tighten. He says "I know, I shoot and make these. So I know how to use it", his tone was so off putting I just said okay sorry. He then goes to the arrows and asks me if I want red or yellow. Not what kind of arrow I am looking for or help explain the difference between wood and carbon arrows. I am new to this and just wanted some guidance on what I needed, and I thought thats what I was getting when I drove all the way there. He takes the arrows and says "Im not going to cut them because they will stiffen." Um okay, I don't know what that means so I said okay um I guess. He couldn't take the two seconds to explain that to me. I waited and when he came back, I told him I wanted to look at the tips. He then used that correct terminology, and leads the way to where I can find them. He said the weight I needed them and said they are in the yellow box. The whole was was basically full of yellow packaging tips. I stand and look for a minute then he groans and walks over and grabs them and said "These ones". Like shit dude, chill out. I bought my arrows and broad tips and got out of there. I think his name is Brandon and he was honestly the worst employee I have met in a long time at any store I have gone to. I called my mom and told her what happened and she ended up calling the place. She talked with Brandon and told her what I said about my experience and she told him that she would like to talk to his manager. He then told her he was the manager and my mom said, "No you're not, get me the real manager". He then told her "well he only works on Mondays." She said "Well I'll call back monday to the real manager." He then, before hanging up, called my mom a bitch. Wowwwwwwww, thats the way you talk to customers. My mom called back and got to talk to someone else and she told him what happened and the talked to Brandon again and said "You really think you can call someone that when you are representing a company?" She talked to the other guy and he said "Yeah he is NOT the manager and the manager works on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, he just isn't here today." I ended up going to Bass Pro a couple miles down the road and had a great experience there. I will NOT be back to that place and going to contact the owner and tell him about his employee. Or, as he thinks of himself "Mister Manager" lol. read more

I took my son here for a mother son day, neither of us have ever shot a bow, but I saw a Groupon for this place and decided it sounded like a great mom and son day activity. I went on the site to book my time but it wasn't working for me so I called to reserve a lane in advance as their webpage recommends that. When I called I told them the day and time slot we'd prefer and they were able to reserve it for us. The staff was easy to work with and solved my problem immediately. What a fun activity! This activity was great on its own but the staff made it even better experience. As stated above we are brand new, the employee who walked us to the lanes set my son up with a closer target and explained the rules and gave some tips, he was very informative and helpful. My son is younger and really struggled pulling the bow back. One of the employees saw me trying to help him and they went and brought a new bow out for him that he was able to pull back on his own. This gave him such a confidence boost, I did not know they had easier bows, I very much appreciate the employee who noticed this and brought a new bow with being asked. After a while my son needed a break so we walked around the "back yard" area of the building. They had corn hole, a huge fire pit, and a large pavilion area that would be great for big gatherings. You could easily fit 100 people back there. Most of the area is wheel chair accessible so if you were to rent this place for a big family party all ages would be able to get around safely. They also have a huge parking area to accommodate a whole party. Cinnamon Creek is so much fun, but what makes this place a solid 5 starts is the staff. It was a group of teenager boys in boots, jeans, and pocket knives, my son thought they looked "super cool" (his words). Three separate guys walked up to my son while we were shooting, they each kneeled down to get on his lever and spoke directly to him, again, on his level. I appreciated that so much, he's only 6 but he wants to be big. When these "big boys" did that it made him so proud and made him feel big too. It was a huge deal and he talked about the cool big boys several times. We absolutely will be back everything about this place is a win! read more

As a new bow hunter I saw cinnamon creek and wanted to use them..... And I wish I never did. It all started when my bow blew up last year when I went to pull back. This year I went to pick my bow up I noticed my sight was gorilla glued on???? And my sight was still loose. I also got my arrows fletched with cinnamon and they did every arrow and fletching different some are 5 degrees some were 2 and some just straight.... All the spacing on every arrow were different as well. I'm very dissatisfied and thankful I haven't got hurt. read more

Used a Groupon which included 3 hours of archery and the bow/arrows for 2. As an archery newby I loved this place, the staff is so patient and helpful they spent the first part of our time there educating on safety and how to use the bow. I bought the Groupon for my husbands birthday and he was so thrilled, it was also a great date. While we were there a kids party was going on, they had the kids in a private archery range/party room completely separate from the huge range we were in. this place is awesome we already have plans to go back. read more

Seriously if you haven't attended a Couple on the creek you seriously gotta do This. So we did archery for about two hours then we had delicious boiled shrimp and crawfish. It was amazing. The DJ is spot on. During archery we had county but as we moved to the dining section it started with Neil Diamond, journey, Queen, flowridder, then moved to the Cupid shuffle and 24 karat so he knows how to read a crowd. Excellent place to go to learn about archery with their class they have. Staff was very helpful and all had extensive knowledge and were very good at teaching beginners. There were several kids in the group, I believe it was a party for someone, and they had a great time. There are party rooms for parties or other events. The pro shop on site is HUGE! If you ever want to get your Katniss Everdeen on and learn to shoot a bow and arrow this is the place! Never knew there was an archery in North Fort Worth. So it is in a wood type area but not far from the highway. When you drive in there will be a lot of gravel so if you have a high level vehicle I suggest to take that. Drive to the right and you'll see the store which is where you'll need to go first. Walked in, greeted right away, we were told they would get to us right away but we sorta had to flag someone down. I felt like we were being ignore and the experienced people were getting help before us. It's probably about $30 something a person for a rental of a bow and 4 arrows. A young man taught us what to do for us first timers, I'm a lefty, he was able to assist me. Quick 5 min lessen and we were left on our own. You get the hang of it quickly. We started in a small room, than we went outside in the zoo, and another part that also outside with a huge field. This was pretty fun for our 1st time. I suggest to come out it gets warmer and when there hasn't been rain recently. Some parts of the zoo had some water issues, not their fault of course, Mother Nature. read more

If you are new to archery and wanna get into it. This is the worst place to go. I went in to pick up my bow the cam and string broke. And I needed arrows and a trigger. I asked if he could help me sight in my bow he said yes. Well after I payed everything changed he sat in the back with the rest of the staff. Never came out to help once. All of the fletching's on my arrows my new arrows came off. And all they can say is sorry we must of got a bad batch. This facility is top-notch great service .I had my bow tuned and also added bow accessories. I tried other compound bows and they were more than happy to assist me, instruct me and told me what I was doing wrong how to improve it and the staff I give a grade of "A" plus. They are #1 in this business all other companies need to catch up or drop out I arrive late just 2 minutes before closing, they still took me in as if I arrived midday, thank you for spoiling me. This review is for the archery pro shop. These guys were awesome, and made buying my first hunting bow an awesome experience. I'm not new to hunting, but I am new to bow hunting, and these guys were all very knowledgeable and took time to answer any questions I had. There was no attitude or superiority complex that you sometimes hear about. I gave Tyler (I think that was his name, tall fella') my general price point, and he stuck to it. There was no trying to put me in too much bow or fleece a noobie for more money than I needed to spend. I went through the whole fitting process from draw length, to poundage adjustment, peep sight, the whole thing and I didn't feel rushed. These guys took the time to make sure I was set up correctly. One suggestion I would make if you're looking at coming out is to get there early as they do get busy, and setting up bows does take time. Other than that, this was probably one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long time. No complaints whatsoever. read more

I had no idea this place existed until a Groupon offering a 4-hour shooting session for two popped up. I am not ashamed to admit that I wanted to go pretend I am Katniss from The Hunger Games, so I jumped at the offer. I was definitely nervous that there would be big, burly men who were irritated by two girls showing up hoping to shoot things, but they were incredibly nice. Gunther set us up with bows, showed us how to shoot, and spent time with us helping us correct our form. In fact, every employee we talked to was super friendly and they were all just happy we were as geekily excited as we were. The best part was definitely going outside to shoot on the course called The Zoo. It's like walking into a gorgeous forest that just happens to have giant foam animals for you to shoot at. We had a ton of fun walking through the beautiful landscape and shooting at things. We also walked past the equally beautiful creek to the courses there, but by then the previous slight drizzle had decided to turn into actual rain, forcing us back inside. Not a problem though, they have a huge indoor arena where you can practice shooting long distance - very fun. The land this range is set up on is beautiful, the employees are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and the sport itself turned out to be ridiculously fun. The non-Groupon prices are a little scary, but I'm sure I'll be back - especially since they have ladies nights for $10! read more

My boyfriend had been wanting to get into archery. We currently live near Philly so we tried the local archery range there which was a terrible experience. I figured Texas would have much better options and I was so thrilled to find that Cinnamon Creek Ranch did not disappoint! I love that you can rent bows here! So, my wife has been wanting to try archery for awhile (yes, even BEFORE the Hunger Games!), so since this place was close by, we thought we'd give it a shot (get it?). The facility seems pretty huge, with outdoor and indoor ranges, pro shop and whatnot. We have only been at night, so I haven't seen the outdoor range yet (a buddy said it was cool...targets-in-the-creek kinda thing). It was $67 for two bows, range fee, targets and 2 hrs of time. Kinda pricey, but worth it for the free lesson we got. When you go, ask for Ryan if you want some free lessons. This guy is a competitive shooter and really knows his stuff. He was very friendly and you can tell he is passionate about archery. He let us try compound and recurve (old school) bows. We had a great experience and we will probably go back to purchase our own bow at some point. read more

Outstanding program for kids, and experts in archery for adults whether you are a beginner or experienced archer! I found Cinnamon Creek searching for something to do with my son that would be fun for both of us. We signed up for the beginner's archery class and it was perfect. The instructors were very patient, knowledgeable, and made every shooter feel comfortable. An hour and a half later everyone was shooting balloons and having a fun competition trying to shoot the highest score, from moms to young kids. I was hooked so I decided to buy a bow that I could shoot and then hopefully pass to my son if he remained interested. I literally walked in one day and told the person behind the counter what my goals were. Next thing I know I was being shown a few bows that fit my needs and allowed to shoot them. After finding the bow that felt the best to me that bow was then fit to me. The peep sight was adjusted, I was shown some releases and fitted for one, and then arrows. A great experience overall that took less than an hour! Next I took my son to the Monday night kid's league. This is the most incredible event for kids I have seen in sports. Charles, Brian, and John personally instruct each kid in the proper technique of archery with incredible enthusiasm for the sport with amazing patience. My son has gone from barely being able to hit the target to hitting multiple bulls eyes in less than six months! His confidence has grown tremendously because of these Monday night classes. If you have any question whether Cinnamon Creek is for you, I recommend you give them a try. My only regret is I didn't find them sooner! read more

Love, love, love our 1st experience at Cinnamon Creek. My husband and I went on a date during their couples by the creek event and we were so impressed. Everything tonight was wonderful. The staff was not only helpful in teaching my husband and I about archery but they were also very friendly and attentive. This place is awesome! The staff is professional and clearly know to instruct a novice how to shoot and how to make experienced shooters, better. In addition to the training range, they have one large indoor range, a smaller instruction range and a large wooded area stocked with animal targets. They rent and sell equipment as well. Ordered a PSE bow through Cinnamon creek ranch back in March. The guys in the archery pro shop were extremely helpful about getting me setup and made sure I was good to go. My bow came in around 3:30 that day and I was walking out the door 3 hours later with a completely functioning and setup bow. Can't recommend them enough if you're into archery. read more

These guys know their stuff without a doubt. They have the largest selection of high end gear that I've seen anywhere in the area. The indoor and outdoor ranges are far superior to anything else around. You might pay just a bit more than you would online, but it's totally worth it to get to see, feel, and try gear before buying. read more

My company worked an event at the Ranch in the events hall. We found it to be a gorgeous venue, full of games for guests, and wonderfully organized.
