He's been riding since 6 years old. VERY comfortable in the saddle which is what their intermediate level says!!

My family drove 2.5 hours to come ride horses for a horrible experience. We could have went to the other place. I thoroughly read the website during my research phase of planning our trip since my family is traveling. Over the phone I made the reservations and was asked about my child's skill level. He's been riding since 6 y/o, now 12. Everything was explained to me, even double explained and I said I understood. On our day of travel we stopped for lunch before heading to the ranch and was told to confirm we were still coming. I did confirm. I got a text saying that I did not confirm and my reservation could be released. I tried calling and no one answered as the VM said the horses were resting, but they insisted we text instead. Someone called me and I told them I would be there early and they said I could handle payment upon arrival. When we arrived I showed the girl at the desk my text confirmation went through on my side. She didn't even look up to acknowledge it. I took my money out and tried paying her and with my wad of money held out for her to take, she said sign these papers for the adults and the child. I had a very uncomfortable feeling FOR SURE at this point. I would've left if it weren't for my child. There was another group with kids so the other lady called them over to be fitted for helmets. My child went back on his own and told them his needed to be adjusted because the fit wasn't right. We went to the restroom and while I was in there, I heard the same rude lady asking my child if he had been on horses before. He said yes. She asked, "How many times" and then asked "Had he trotted before". I couldn't believe she was saying anything to him. She waited until I was away from him and came way across the building to ask A CHILD! He confirmed everything I already confirmed as the adult responsible. When I came out of the restroom I was refused service and told I couldn't get my money back, but that I could call the owner another day and ask. I said the police will be here if I am not given the money back I just gave you. She said she had to "step outside" to call the owner which she also said when I first arrived and tried to pay her as if something was wrong with us, but I didn't think anything of it at the time. Needless to say, I left with my money and we didn't get to ride horses. We wasted time on our trip and money going there. The lady said he has never had lessons with them so he couldn't go on the ride. That is not on their website. It is open for anyone to sign up and the different levels are explained. We are too advanced to go on most rides when we travel so we sign up for intermediate. It wasn't even the experienced level. I believe she took one look at us and prejudged us as if we cant have experience with horses as well. Just to mention, the other children in the group were not asked these questions upon arrival or pulled to the side to get more info when their parents were around. We camp, fish, and ride horses on a regular basis. I'm disgusted at how we were treated, just post a sign saying you discriminate off the basis of your own prejudice, it would've saved us a lot of time.

My friend took me here for my birthday and it was a blast! The ladies were so friendly and helpful-- we went on an intermediate ride with Summer and Lindsey and they were great! The views were gorgeous and such a fun and relaxing experience. If you've never trotted or even ridden a horse before, the staff helps everyone know what theyre doing to set you up for a fun and safe ride. Highly recommend- will be going back! 10/10

We booked a group ride 12/27/2021 and thoroughly enjoyed a 90 minute adventure along the shores of beautiful Lake Grapevine. Our chaperones (the staff at Marshall Creek Ranch) did a great job of coaching, guiding and encouraging us along the way. We loved it! This is a true Texas experience and a terrific way to pursue some out of the ordinary team bonding. Pro tip: ask for and secure an email in writing from the admin staff at Marshall Creek Ranch re: your group ride as soon as possible to minimize questions, clarify expectations, confirm #s / costs, etc. Solid recommendation!

Every year my best friend and I take eachother horseback riding for our birthdays. Wanting an experience more than just a normal trail ride, I looked at all of the ranches near by to see what they offered. I found Marshall Creek Ranch & signed us up for a private ride. Best. Idea. Ever! Our guide, Summer, was fantastic! Not only did she show us a beautiful trail, but she also helped us with our riding and gave us great pointers. Super friendly staff, beautiful horses, and great scenery! Highly highly recommend. We will be back every year to celebrate!

Called them same day and went horse riding here when I was visiting Dallas, very friendly staff and beautiful calm horses. Really appreciated that they made sure everything was comfortable and the perfect fit and had us go in circles for almost 5-10mins prior to heading to the trail. Due to a past experience falling off a horse I changed my mind before heading to the trail and wanted to get off and they were extremely understanding and kind about it. Would love to go there again. Highly recommend!

What can I say that hasn't already been said. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about not only the horses but also the area. Loved our time there with them. When I go back to Dallas I will be visiting Marshall Creek Ranch again. Great time was had by all.

One of the best experiences I have ever had horse back riding! I was in the back of the group and got to talk to the One of the employees, Helen she was great!

My best friend and I took her 3 kids and my two nieces horseback riding for her daughter and my oldest nieces birthdays. We had 9 people total. I loved this place. The staff are amazing and so educated. I felt safe the entire time and so did the kids. All the horses behaved for the most part. There were a few trouble makers but that's just how horses are and it was kind of funny. The ride was a decent length and we had a blast! I would defiantly come here again.

Loved it! My husband surprised me for our anniversary and took me here. Haven't ridden a horse for a a while but everyone there was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I was confident again in no time. The owner Shandera Les our ride and she was wonderful. Horses are well taken care of, happy, healthy and love to go out. Trails are always different so it keeps the horses interested! Bring sunscreen and water.

We just finished an intermediate trail ride at Marshall Creek. It was fantastic! We have a group of 4 celebrating my sisters birthday and had a great experience. Summer and Lindsey did a great job and the trail was beautiful . We have been in several trail rides and this was the best. Horses were responsive and looked great which isn't always the case. Definitely recommend!!

Beautiful trail!

Update time!!!!! A…read morefew years after hosting a birthday party here, we decided to enroll our child in their weekly classes, and it has been a wonderful experience ever since. One of the biggest draws for our family is the variety of offerings, especially the weekday homeschool classes, day camps, and parent night out events. Since the change in ownership, I couldn't be more pleased with the direction of the program under Mrs. Chris. My son genuinely looks forward to each class and continues to grow stronger and more confident every week. Mrs. Chris and her staff are incredibly skilled with children and provide exceptional coaching in a positive, encouraging environment. I truly appreciate the thoughtful structure of the program, from the engaging exercises and skill development to the excellent communication and organization for parents. The skills tracker is a fantastic tool that keeps parents informed while allowing the kids to celebrate their progress, and the app makes everything even more convenient. The pricing is very fair, and we couldn't be happier with our experience.

SATURDAY EVENING at 7pm less than 24 hours before the ride I get this message Hey Larry. There was a miscommunication between myself and Jeff. The ride tomorrow is unfortunately fully booked. My name is Kambry with Widowmaker Trail Rides. The lady who usually sets people up for rides is out so things are all out of whack. I RESPONDED That is unacceptable. I have a guest coming in from out of town. So you need to do something. Something earlier or something. I planned this and you gave me confirmation. Kambry then said Who gave you confirmation? We only confirm rides when we receive a deposit I then said Let's not do that. YOUR PEOPLE: I have 2 spots Sunday from 6-8 pm ME:Great I'll take them. He will call you shortly. My ride filled up before Kambry could call you but she should have called yesterday and told you immediately. Jeff I asked Okay does the time change? Jeff said I'm not sure but he will call you shortly and you can work that out. NO ONE CALLED. SO AT 9:34 I said It's 9:30 I haven't heard from anyone. That's not a good look Jeff responded This ride isn't going to work. Do whatever it was that you were planning to do tomorrow before you called yesterday last minute to try and schedule a ride with us this weekend. I read your text with Kambry as well as your text above and it would not be a good fit. So I guess people that call last minute get lies. I responded I will definitely include this in my yelp review. It's obvious you don't keep your word. Pitiful I had someone coming in town for this ride. DO NOT USE THEM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
