The riders are taught to care for the horses as well as respect each other. The instructors work very well together, so if we need to make up a lesson, my daughter does just fine with one instructor over another. She usually takes a small group lesson but at times ends up riding solo, and both are beneficial. Although my daughter does not compete, she's treated with the same care and attention as those who do. The farm is always being updated with new buildings being added and barns upgraded. I saw a few negative reviews and was very surprised to see anything negative written about this wonderful place and the caring staff. What I appreciate is they have a no nonsense approach and give the kiddos direction and correction when required. Our oldest is now in her 5th year of lessons and has improved more than we could have ever imagined. FCRA doesn't just provide horse riding lessons, they provide the lifestyle and discipline typically not available to "city girls." The staff remembers what it feels like to be a young girl in love with a horse and tries to allow each student the opportunity to experience that for themselves, even if they are not yet able to own their own horse. With a barn full of young horse crazy girls, the staff at FCRA has patience in abundance. I cannot recommend Full Circle Riding Academy enough.

The only thing my child didn't like was the bus ride each day to & from our local YMCA, since I think it was about 30-40 minutes. They also have a facebook page and post pics of the camper activities daily so you can get a feel for whats going on.

Soooo, I was excited to…read morevisit Cinnamon Creek Ranch after a friend mentioned the indoor archery WITH equipment rentals. Was a fairly quick drive via I-35, & my map app took me to the correct location. Staff is so friendly AND teach classes, or, like for me, they will give you a 2-3 minute refresher before you start. You rent a target at the range ($15 in March 2024), & you can rent a compound bow and arrows ($20 each in March 2024) that are honestly in really good shape. The range's targets are well spaced. They even have axe throwing in another area, if you're into that. They also have high-top tables and chairs for friends/family to sit and 4 big tvs on the wall for those not shooting. TIP: When you arrive for archery, go to the building on your left when you park (marked "Event Center" and "A") bc the building on the right is for game processing. I definitely will return!
