Fun game. But they really need this place cleaned. Could also use some updates. Games out of order since 98 in there.

This is just a really fun place. There are arcade games, laser tag, and whirly ball. My work group was there for whirly ball. They have some great packages. There was another company there using the other whirly ball court, they were on the same kind of 3 hour package as us, except their package came with and Olive Garden buffet and ours came with a Blue Mesa buffet. It was really good, delivered hot and set up in warming trays. Our package also came with an open bar (bottles only, includes free bottle sodas if you don't drink). The people are soooo nice. The whirly ball guy we had, older gentleman, super fun operator. We had a good time with him. The lady and guy behind the drink counter were so friendly, big smiles every time. If you're done with boring team events, this is excellent for team building and doesn't break your team budget. I hope we go back next quarter. read more

Horrible employees with not a care in the world and non functional equipment. We got shorted on time due to another group running over. They didn't prep us for the game with the rules, dos/donts. The ref made no efforts to be engaged or help. We had two cars basically sit in one spot and the entire game was cut short. We played ONE game. He even left the electricity on while we were walking off the court. Laser tag was just as crappy. No one came to start the game. We had to take control and start it ourselves! Even the arcade robbed us. We were using the boxing game and it ate our $5 bill. This place is trash. In the end they expected us to pay full price! The manager literally told us he was going to fire the employee cause he was high. No joke. Huge liability!! read more

We have been several times for different events. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't so run down. The cars are all different speeds. We ended up having 9 instead of 10, so instead of moving the extra car out of the arena they left in the corner. Ball got stuck back there a lot. After a few games we had one more drop out and you guessed it, they left the car on the edge but right in the middle of the arena. Very odd. Employees were nice but not outgoing at all. Had to wait for the manager to get back before I could check out. Waited around for about 20 min after we were done to be able to pay and leave. Overall it was very fun and something different. Just don't expect great customer service, if you can get past that and the place being a little run down you will have a great time if you are a sporty or adventurous type. read more

Ohmygosh this place is so fun. I actually thought didn't know what to think of thi gameroom. When I walked in it looked like a mini arcade and then as you turn the corner there's courts. Well, the court have the bumper carts with the whirlyball activity. Honestly, I dont know if I can even explain how fun it is, but you'll leave feeling like a big kid. In case you were wondering what the heck whirlyball is it's a blend of bumper cars, basketball, and lacrosse. Don't be intimidated, you'll get the hang of it I promise. You drive your bumper car around, while playing basketball.. .but instead of basketball you have a little lacrosse scooper in your hand and pass and shoot that way! Seriously, it's easy, and delightfully fun. This place has two courts for you to play on, laser tag , an arcade section with a good selection of games, as well as a small bar with food, snacks, drinks, and alcoholic beverages. You all know, I'm a fan of anything that serves and encourages you to drink. I've been here multiple times, and have had a blast every single time. There really are no negatives. The staff is nice and laid back. They'll answer all your questions for you and help you out. I recommend giving this a try if you're in the area. It's good for parties, hanging out if bored, company events, or a fun thing to take out of town friends to. Also, side note--- if you wanna win, get on my team....I'm pretty awesome! read more

A cross between bumper cars, basketball and lacrosse, whirlyball makes a great group or corporate team-building activity. Pros include plenty of parking, friendly and funny "refs", and reasonable prices. They also have a surprisingly long list of craft beers at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the facility and equipment are a bit run down. The bumper cars vary wildly in performance, with newer ones running zippy circles around the older ones that barely move. This is great fun if you luck or scheme your way into one of the fast cars, but not so much if you get stuck (literally) in one if the older cars. Our ref had to come down and push one of the cars manually, which turned out to be a bit dangerous. Insider's tip: by claiming the yellow cars on Court 2, you significantly increase your team's odds of victory. Avoid red car #20 at all costs. Overall, a fun idea that could use some investment. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. 1) I reserved a court for 2 hours. We arrived on time but there was a group on the court we were assigned too. 2) we got on the court an hour later than our reservation 3) I was still charged for 2 hours even though we only got an hour of playtime. 4) I have tried for a week to get reimbursed for the hour we didn't play and can't get in touch with any intelligent person. 5) Apparently there is only 1 manager because that's the only person I've spoken too. Whirlyball was very different and very fun. It's bumper car basketball lacrosse madness for 10 minutes at a time. I enjoyed myself a lot but would have had a better time if the bumper cars were better maintained holy crap these are pieces of junk but fun pieces of junk. My bumper car broke down at least three times and to get it started again someone literally has to smash into you at full speed. Hey thanks for the concussion jumpstart let's play again. Another cool part is the laser tag arena that was pure awesomeness. I worked up quite a sweat pretending to be in live action call of duty running and gunning like I'm elite status. I had heard about this sport for sometime now and never played it till recently. Came here on a Monday night, Monday night special from 8pm-10pm, 2 hours, $10, play all you want... Of course you rotate with the other people there. This was my first time, so it took me awhile to learn! It's like bumper cars/lacrosse/. You're in a bumper car but the steering is different... It's hard to explain. This is how Wiki explains Whirlyball: A Whirlyball team consists of five players. Each player rides a Whirlybug and carries a scoop, with which he or she can pass the ball, usually a Wiffle ball, to teammates and shoot at the goal, a circular target above the two opposite ends of the court. It's pretty fun once you get the hang of the steering. There are tips to shooting the ball at the net, go easy, just flick your wrist. You may suffer whiplash after this game, avoid bumping people hard, pay attention when you get close to the walls. read more

Went here with a group of 10 of us from work, a little team building and it was a mixed bag. Likes: Whirly ball itself is just a lot of fun. The ref, let us just play and we had a great time. We took advantage of a food and beer package, which was reasonable but we had a couple of cocktail drinkers that were disappointed there was no other alcohol. We had a Mexican fajitas meal and we were all pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. (I guess they get it from Volcano restaurant next door) Dislikes, the bumper cars were rough and some were just wore out. The place has NO ambiance. Just whitewashed walls. We did this same team building in the Chicago area and that place just had so much more character to it. I'm not expecting a taj mahal in a whirly ball place but at least have something on the walls. Even though the food was good, we had to remove the covers from all the bowls and trays, just a little tacky. read more

Most whirlyball places are pretty similar. They have two whirly ball arenas at this location. The bumber cars were uneven, some were fast and some of them would easily get stuck. They have done simple food options and they have beverages and beer here too. read more

Worst birthday experience ever. Booked a laser tag party for 20 people. Before starting the first game I'm told only 11 vests are working, which was fine because we ended up with 12 kids. The kids wander around the arena for several minutes before coming back and telling me no one's vest is working. Employees didn't communicate what actions were being taken to resolve the issue, just said "I dont know" and apologies. My husband asked for arcade tokens so the kids would have something to do and he was told it'd be free of charge. Later at the end of party room time, we were told the laser tag was fixed. Then the employee came back again and said only 7 vests were working so we'd have to rotate kids on the games. I ended up paying full price for 12 kids and extra $10 in tokens. There are better places to spend your money. Don't book this place for laser tag! read more

Whirlyball is a totally ridiculous and very fun game. No idea who came up with the idea or how, but it really is fun. And it is pretty much all ages fun. There are definitely some people you can tell are better than others but you are effectively in bumper cars so that is a big equalizer. Definitely worth checking out. Pretty hilarious.. read more

I probably love 10 minutes from this place and this is the first time I've been. WHY?!?!? The concept of this "sport" already sounds amazing in itself and the execution is even better! What it is is a combo of bumper cars and lacrosse? There are 2 teams and the concept is to drive around (bumping is allowed) and scoring on the opposing team. The points are scored by throwing your whiffle ball, using a scooper thing, into what looks like a makeshift basketball backboard. There is a large circle in the center of the backboard and if you can throw your ball there, you get 2 pts. Anything that hits the backboard is 1 pt. The location is very large with 3 whirley ball courts. Each court is the length of a basketball court and can play up to 10 ppl. Weird concept makes for a great time!!! I've never seen a group of 20 something's laughing their ass off while playing! They also have a fairly large laser tag area. For $5 for 15 minutes, why not play? Long story short PLAY! It is so fun! This is such a great place to take the family or a group of friends for some REAL FUN. Whirlyball is a basic combination of bumper cars, Lacrosse and basketball. Two teams of 5 folks play against each other on the court. Let the games begin. Not for the whining, injured or less than competitive, this one is a blast and trust me, you will get bumped and moved around. I highly recommend this for folks who need to get something off their chests or clear their minds. This is supposed to be for older kids but each time I go, they are a bunch of insane adults playing. Awesome place. I had gone a couple times years ago when they were on Northwest Highway by Bachmann Lake. I had then forgotten about them. Not sure exactly how long they have been in Hurst. I love Whirly Ball. It is a really fun and bizarre game. We played with our family which ranged from middle school to grandparents and everyone played and had a blast. You can read other people's descriptions of exactly how it works but I don't know that any of them will really do it justice because it is hard to explain, you probably just have to check it out. I had a BLAST playing Whirlyball for my birthday event! I've been to the Northwest Hwy location for my 22nd birthday, but decided to revisit this fun place for my 26th birthday. I called in a few weeks ahead for a party of 10, and it was a smooth process. I didn't think too many people would show up, but I later realize 15 people were going to attend. Luckily after calling Whirlyball on the day of the party to tell them about the extra people, they were fine with it. You can also pay on one card or each person can pay separately, but one transaction was easy for me while everyone else paid me in cash. On the day of the event, we all arrived and the extra people waited in the waiting room while the 2 groups of 5 played the 8 minute game. Always dress comfortably when you play whirlyball because you will sweat while you're fighting to get the ball to score. And your legs might get bruised up by the handle if you're not careful. The only reason I am rating this 4 stars is because the waiting room was burning HOT! We were better off playing the game because the court was nice and air conditioned. I know it wasn't hot because of the temperature outside, because it was a nice day out for June. (That's rare to say...) Other than that, Whirlyball is a TON of fun and I definitely recommend it for a get together of friends. read more

Whirlyball is fun. I think it is especially good for big groups, then the price per player is cheap and you can rotate people in. 15 to 20 people there playing 5 on 5 and rotating teams in is a good way to do it. read more

Whirlyball is really one of the most unique experiences you can have. The combination of lacrosse and basketball in bumper cars is fun and challenging. As a youth pastor I love bringing my students here because you don't have to be overly athletic and everyone being in bumper cars levels the playing field. The only down side is you have to have 10 people to play, it isn't like you can have 6 people and play a 3 on 3 game, that won't work. This place is a ton of Fun, the staff is really nice and lets you have fun without being super tough about the rules. Everyone is safe and has a good time. Then if you have had enough of the Whirlyball, play some laser tag. The Laser Tag course isn't anything too special, but they do a lot with the space they have and it didn't stop my group from having an awesome time! I definitely recommend going here! read more

Whirlyball is really fun and really competitive. It's a great team building exercise and this facility is set up nicely for parties and presentations, if that is required. They have a really good beer selection (bottles) and the people were really friendly. The facility is definitely in need of some upgrades/renovations. It's a little old. While we were in the middle of one of the games our court just stopped working. It took them about five minutes to fix it (no big deal). You can also play laser tag. Information on website does not match services, price, information in the place. Prices are higher when you get there. You have to make reservations in which the website does not indicate that. When asked to speak to a manager, the girl at the counter said she was the manager. She looked to be about 16 years old and she said she can't make any decisions, she has to call the owner. I asked to speak to the manager myself and I was denied. So, spend your money on something else that is more friendly, customer oriented, and provides correct Information on their website. read more

Come to Dallas couple times a year and always with friends get a court for and hour . This time it was very obvious the cars have not been maintained . At least half of the 10 cars functioned partially and one stopped completely . The referee ( when I complained ) said just have someone bump you and get you started. So I responded 'So every time I stop someone has to bump me . ' Finally when we threatened not to pay he swapped a car . This place could be a ball it the equipment functioned . ( it was in the past) . So word to the wise it's not fun anymore . Attention management and owner fix cars so we can come back and have fun again . read more

Tried to book an event there for our company; they lied to me and then took my deposit and referenced some ridiculous clause that they never told me about. I tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLEYBALL! I have seen better corporate practices at Walmart and had better customer service at Bank of America. When they opened, it was fun. Whirly ball is a cross between basketball and bumper cars. The more recent problem is that many of the cars don't work. Our youth group went and they didn't have enough working cars, so the group tried a different court and still couldn't accommodate everyone. The group received a 50% discount. The people who work here first off are so unprofessional they totally let someone call up and change the name of my reservation which was reserved underneath my credit card and give away private information and when we arrived they told us that we didn't have a reservation that it had been changed but no one in my party of what so ever was informed they didn't even try to call to confirm with us off are original number that the reservation was placed just told us all yes you called off this number & changed it just very unprofessional we had babysitters and had to drive 45 minutes just to get there to be told sorry & then we was asked if we could possibly get a credit for the next time to which the guy told me he's not paying me for doing nothing when I've drove 40 minutes to his establishment just so rude and unprofessional read more

So much fun! Lacrosse meets basketball in bumper cars. This is one of our family's favorite things to do together.

My husband and I came in October 2017 for my birthday with a group of friends and had 6 cars break on us. We ended up losing 1/2 of our playing time due to their poor maintenance. We were told that this had happened several times that night. We decided to try to come back for my brother's birthday (August 2018) and again we had several cars break down. This time it was only 3 cars, but still too many because it still counts towards your play time. Very disappointed that they do not keep up the maintenance of their cars. Staff was not the nicest both times. The lady at the front desk had an awful attitude this last time and rolled her eyes at us when we expressed our frustrations about our experience. read more

This place sucks, I told the employee running the game that cart 7 is broken and he flat out refused to fix the cart. He told me they don't have anymore carts until after I complained two separate times before he finally fixed the cart, his attitude was lack of caring and rude. I tried Whirlyball, last Monday night, and I had a great time, two hours for only $5, great deal! I had so much fun, I bought a "Scope"! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the the customers where friendly. Everyone plays, and fun is the goal, and if your team wins the game great, but it was just fun to play. Much harder then it looks.I have always loved crazy game, and this one is crazy.
