Whirlyball is sooooo much fun. The facility is incredible and the staff is really friendly. We've rented space for multiple parties - including for charity - and had a fantastic time. The location is really easy to find, parking is no problem, and there are a good number of restaurants around, plus Whirlyball/LaserWhirld has snacks and drinks (and beer!) and can order pizza for parties at a good price. I absolutely love this game and it's so much fun with a big group of people. It can be highly competitive and isn't for anyone who might not be able to take the jolt of heavy bumping of the cars. But I must say I'm very disappointed with the condition of the facility and equipment. The bumper car seats are in a horrible state of disrepair and some of the cars are so loud they sound like a locomotive. The facility is dirty, leaving our shoes black and dirtying our jackets, etc. I've heard there is a nicer facility in Plano. I think I'll try it next time. read more

We have been going to this place as a family once or twice a year for several years. Normally we have a great experience. However, on our annual Christmas visit this year, it was not great. 17 minutes into our hour rental, we were still not playing. Multiple cars were dead, would not move at all. We "played" three 8 minute games in an hour. Our referee spent much of the 8 minutes during each game pushing dead cars trying to get them moving. He did all he could but the fact is we had 10 cars on the court and for much of the time 6 or 7 cars were working and the other 3 or 4 were sitting still somewhere on the court. The referee did swap cars off of our court and into the repair area but the "repaired" cars did not work either. We certainly did not get what we went there for. The "manager" did offer a 30% discount. She had a really bad attitude and made it seem like she was doing me a big favor offering a discount and then also offered a "free" game of laser tag. Unfortunate experience at a normally family fun place. Hopefully they get back to a reliable level of service. Well, the owner called about 24 hours later and told us there would be no charge. Appropriate considering our experience. Would prefer to play and pay. read more

My grandson and his friends had a blast. The management and staff were so helpful and nice. We will definitely be coming back in the future. Even the adults present had fun doing whirlyball, laser tag, and video games. read more

If there was a way to score less than Poor I would, they are not, at least, were not kind to people of color. They were rude. Assumed every Black person that came in the building was part of our group. The counter help (which I found out later was a manager), thought it was ok to tell me she informed the referee when it was our turn to look for the large group of Black people. Why couldn't have just been the group that's standing outside Court 2. We were told our start time was 7:00 and to be there by 6:45 for instructions so we could be on the Court at 7:00 and have a full hour, however, at 7:00 I had to go to the counter and inquire why there was a new group of people on the Court. The explanation was they had been really busy all day. Well, why didn't someone come tell us that a new group would be getting on the Court at the 6:45 time slot that we were told to be there and NOT leaving the Court until 7:10 p.m. We started late, our time was cut short and management (and I use that term loosely) didn't understand why we were upset. We asked for enough time to play one more game since they allowed someone else on the Court at our start time, instead we were offered a $12 discount and was told that was a good deal considering how many people we had. I was actually going to just let them make it on the Black people comment, but when management had such a poor attitude when we talked to them about the error of the time clock, that made everything even worse. All we asked for initially was enough time to play another game since we started so late and our time was obviously not recorded properly. Had our initial request been honored, most of this could have been averted. Money is the same color for all, but my Black People money won't ever be spent there again. read more

I wish I could give this a better review. I hardly ever do reviews on companies and it takes a lot for me to even do this. So we had a family outing for my father-in-laws birthday. My wife and I were running late and didn't arrive with the crew. Upon arrival I was a little nervous of the outside and what to expect. It looked very dead and almost abandoned. As we went in and stepped around the corner the young cashier pointed to the back and said "Oh, you are looking for the Carter party" and pointed to the back. I didn't think about what had just happened. I just figured there was someone around the corner waving us down..but that was not the case. So fast forward a little. We enjoyed ourselves and had a blast. I can't deny that! But it turned quickly because we were shorted one of our games, and when asked about the missing game.... We were told that we played all our games. Fine! I was not upset about that at all. But what I was upset about is the cashier explaining that we did start on time because she remembered telling the referee to just look for the big group of black people and that was at 7:07pm. How was that even OK to say? I mean I normally don't care, but when addressed in a professional manner the cashier didn't find anything wrong with what you said. She goes on to say that our people should have known where to go anyways. I guess because we were the only big black group there. So if all this hadn't happen I would have given this place a 5 stars, but because of the lack of customer service and lack of ethics. I give it a -1 rating if I could. If you are a big black group don't go. read more

Went with a big group, one of the cars wasn't working so they stopped to fix it. We paid for an hour and switching out the car took about ten to fifteen minutes. When we asked if we could get that time back or a discount the lady was extremely rude and told us no. We tried to explain we're paying 150 dollars for an hour we would like to use our full time and it's not our fault the car isn't working. She wouldn't budge and kept telling us it was a routine matinence fix. I honestly think they know they get a ton of business because they are the only place near by so they take advantage of their customers. We do events like this all the time, I will be driving farther for a nicer location next time. read more

I came here with a group of friends for my brother's "bachelor/bachelorette" party. Overall, I had a lot of fun. My knees did not. Neither did anyone else's knees. The bumper cars could use some padding around the steering device that sits between your legs. Be sure to make a reservation beforehand and wear real shoes lol (seems like a given, but some people in our group didn't and regretted it). Pretty simple concept: red cars score on red goal, yellow cars score on yellow goal. I felt like rules were optional?? Mostly because the referee didn't really give us any direction. Didn't tell us about seat belts or basic safety things even after we told them it was our first time. But that's also a good thing, lots of freedom during play. They also didn't have waivers to sign, which surprised me. The staff in general was pretty unhelpful, but the pricing is reasonable. They also had a few arcade games, air hockey, and laser tag. Concessions and beer are at the front where you pay. So basically, the facility itself is bland and a little messy, the bumper cars need some love, and the staff kinda sucks, but it's whirlyball, how could you not have fun?? read more

Whirlyball (the game) was so much fun the first time we went (when it was a company event) that I brought in a large group to play. After reserving a month in advance and going over the details with the staff, I thought I knew what to expect when we arrived. Wrong. When we got there, we felt so unwelcome and it didn't seem there was anyone there actually "running" the place. We were switched from this court to that and then shorted on the time(10 min +8 min does not equal 30 min). Then when it comes time to pay the amount is not the same as discussed over the phone( a nice $50 more) I tried to look it back up on the website since that's where I went over the original prices with the staff member on the phone but the website is no longer up :/ Shady shady... Whirlyball is such a fun game that I really hope another company with better service skills and hopefully the concept of cleanliness will open shop near us. I won;t dare go back to this place. Customer Service makes the sale for me, and this company is severely lacking. read more
