Dollar day at Texas lone star was a great day to adventure the park. They do provide other food options and drinks at other stands. They have lots of other great events & deals on others day so keep an eye out such a fun family, friends experience.

Dwight Yoakum. ..great show

Dollar day is the biggest ripoff!!! Only one person serving beer and 2 for food...you will spend half of the night in line. We waited about an hour to get in and then an hour to get a beer. Don't know if I will ever be back.

Superstars!

Nothing better than a night at the races. It does matter if you win, it's so much more fun! Bet on the gray horse always!

Paula was very patient and shared her knowledge and...I won. I will definitely come back on dollar days. The only reason I didn't five stars is the hot dogs were cold and they charge you $5 to get cash.

We always have a blast going... but I guess like everywhere else, they have trouble with staffing. On the second level, there were 3 total cashiers. THREE!!! Ray missed betting on 2 races, along with scores of others. So, maybe if you're a teacher and need a summer job next year... Also, regular prices on food and drink has jumped!!! We took advantage of Dollar beer and hot dogs. BUT! Second round of hot dogs were raw.

Great food during their veterans Day event! They had the best and cutest singer for the national anthem

Did not get to see any live horse races today(due to thunderstorms), but we still ended up having a great time! Husband & I were here attending a company party at the penthouse suite. The views of the track and small ponds were awesome! The suites were spotless with plenty of seating for the expected 50 guests. Appetizers(shrimp cocktail, charcuterie, etc) and bar service were ready & available upon our arrival. Once it was time for:the first race" the buffet was opened for the penthouse suites. We were very pleased with the assortment of items. There was prime rib, tenderloin, ham, turkey, chicken cordon Bleu, squash stuffed ravioli and plenty of desserts! Everything was so yummy! I wish I'd gotten pics of the main buffet :(

I think this place is very fun You can watch horses race, there is plenty of different food & drinks, and you can bring your children Races are every 30 minutes The parking is somewhat far Admission is $5 per person. I strongly recommend buying tickets online so you do not have to wait in line

I'm partially disabled and don't do crowds well with the cane. Should I be concerned? TIA

I think you will be okay. Maybe look into reserving a table in the Silks Lounge to ensure your own personal space. I love it there. Indoors and you can see all the action from above!

My company had a suite here and being that I had never been to a horse track, I HAD to come and I'm so glad that I did.

Damn ... why such a low aggregate score for this place?…read more I'm reading a lot of these negative reviews and it seems like there are some common, reoccurring themes I'm noticing: 1. Ppl who purchased multiple races and having to wait upwards of 1.5+ hrs in between races (but being passed up if others tipped the operators??) 2. Mechanically broken karts 3. Bad flag waver / intentional slow down of karts 4. Bad customer service My brother, dad and I were in town for a weekend for a cowboys vs ravens game (dad is a diehard fan). On the monday, which was our last day in town, we had a chunk of time after lunch to do something before catching our flight. We decided to hit this place up as it was near our hotel. Maybe because it was a workday and we were the only customers (there was 1 other family there) but we didn't experience many of the negative things I listed above so our experience was VASTLY different than what other customers are reporting. It seemed like all karts were operational, there was no flag waver for our races and we did NOT have to wait at all in between races. I DO think they did turn up the kart speeds at the halfway lap mark and also dialed them back down near the end but I'm just going off of personal feel. We experienced very good customer service! The lady (manager I'm assuming) that helped us at the front desk was quite pleasant and the two gentlemen manning the track for the day were nice too. We did 3 races and I managed to place 1st in one of them (the dad from the other family was an absolute beast). I noticed that this K1 Speed is a lil different from the one back home in the racing format. Here it was personal time trial. Each person was trying to see who could have the fastest personal lap and at the end the best personal lap times were ranked. While this was an interesting format, I prefer the traditional placement format more, where your final rank is based on who finished the race first, physically. I'm wondering if this could be changed/adjusted if you spoke to the staff or if it's an unchangeable, default racing format? Anyways, had a lot of fun. It's definitely pricey as some have pointed out (because of the baked in membership fee), but I guess coming on a workday was a good idea as opposed to a weekend day? Fun, memorable activity before flying back to Toronto!

What a truly long wait to finally race for just a few mins. I brought my oldest boy to get it on!…read moreTime to prove out the old man still has got it. But when we signed up they said it would just be a slight wait... over an hour and a half later we finally got called up. If you have never been to a K1 course before you need to know it is all about speed... these carts can fly! But coming in first does not mean a thing... it is fastest lap and overall course speed. The corse is a wicked inside track with hair pin turns and thin lines.. it is an adrenaline rush! We got set and then seriously ate this course up! My son and I were bumping and scraping the whole way but in the end ... he beat me. Yep race one... he beat me. However in race two I crushed him. What a great time! We had a blast!! My sone is a heck of a racer... I loved getting beat by him... and liked breaking even. So much fun!

This was one of the most disappointing customer experiences we've had, not because of a rule--but…read morebecause of how it was handled. Our six-year-old son loves racing. He's been racing regularly since early November at another Andretti location and has already been officially verified as meeting the height requirement for the junior track. We came to this location excited, with family in town, expecting the same consistency. Instead, he was denied access based on a manager's visual guess from behind the counter. No one measured him. No policy was clearly explained. No customer records were checked. And the manager refused to even come out to engage directly. If height requirements are about safety (which we fully respect), then they should be enforced objectively and consistently. Guessing from a distance is not safety--it's laziness and poor leadership. What made this worse was the complete lack of empathy. Watching a child who loves racing go from excited to confused and disappointed--without explanation or care--was heartbreaking and entirely avoidable. The Andretti name stands for precision and professionalism. What we experienced here was the opposite: disengaged management, inconsistent policy enforcement, and a total breakdown in customer experience. We didn't ask for special treatment. We expected competence, consistency, and basic respect--especially when dealing with kids. This experience ruined our visit and seriously damaged our trust in this location. Until Andretti addresses these leadership and operational issues, we won't be returning--and we'll think twice before recommending it to other families.

From the adult perspective - the customer service is lacking, the prices are steep and the main…read moreattraction - the race cars, are slow and expensive. The race cars are really the main attraction here and the entire place revolves around the racing. You cannot make a reservation. It's a first come, first serve situation. There are four racing categories (see below), so if you come with a group of mixed ages or heights you may not all be able to race together (I've witnessed this shock when birthday parties assume they can race together). The Intermediate and Junior Races are slower than you'd assume. I could jog faster, but the WORST part is the speed. They go so slow and are controlled so it's nearly impossible to pass another racer or actually RACE! The Mini Mario has some speed and speed is adjusted based on the general age of the racers in the heat. The cost is $29 down to $15, which doesn't sound horrible, but after waiting for a long time for your group to be called and then racing for 1min to 7 minutes, the cost is really high! High enough you're not likely to get in line and do it again. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ugh. There are kiosks and a giant line with actual people at a counter. Don't be mistaken YOU MUST go to the kiosk FIRST and fill out waivers, although there are no signs anywhere telling you that. We've filled out waivers on line before arriving, only to find ourselves at the front of the line and told "we can't find it, now to to the kiosks and get back in line". It's awful. The employees don't seem to like their jobs, or likely are sick of people being upset at them for the HORRIBLE process management has set up. We've never been able to find someone on the floor to help us when a video game eats our money or doesn't work either. The guys in the race area are hit or miss. Sometimes they're patient and kind. Other times they mumble and seem pissed off to be there. GAMES: The video games are the same as other places around town, but after driving all the way out here, searching for parking and then racing for 5 minutes we've always felt like we need to play a few games to make the trip worth it. FOOD: We've never eaten here, but it's basic bar food (hamburger, hot dogs, nachos, etc) and the cost is high for such basic food. We'd rather pay the same amount for better food options in the area. All that to say, expect to spend $$$ to come race, eat and play at Andrettis. Make sure your group has checked the height & age requirements to make sure you can race together. And finally, come with a lot of patience. ----- Race Categories ----- ADULT RACE 7- Minute Heat.
