The exposed beams, wood floors and decor didn't require much extra decoration. We had ample space for catering services. There was PA system and media for our slides/videos. The Space is just what the name implies. A giant space. It's near Deep Ellum, so the location…read moreitself isn't bad. I've been to a few local shows there in the "pop punk"-ish genre. It's definitely not one of my favorite venues for concerts. I hear they host a lot of other types of events there too, so clearly music isn't their only moneymaker (which is good, because the sound kinda leaves something to be desired. The Good: The place is relatively big, if a bit nondescript. Although I can see how you could decorate and jazz it up a bit - could be a nice, urban-style backdrop if you were willing to bring stuff in. There's a parking lot about half a block away that fits a decent amount of cars. Sometimes there's a guy there making you pay $5, sometimes there's not. I have yet to figure out if he's just a really smart scam artist making people pay, or if he's hired by the venue. The Bad: Holy sweltering heat. For such a big space, they had ONE vent blowing cold air. I literally thought I was going to expire at one point. I didn't pay $10 to go into a sauna filled will un-showered teenage boys. *shiver* The sound...is not great. I heard quite a few of the bands complain about the PA, or lack thereof. Again, isn't not a "concert" venue, so maybe that just comes with the territory. They. Ran. Out. Of. Beer. I'm not sure I have to expand on that any further. The front door faces the Live Oak Lofts (or one of the buildings over there), so they don't let people stand and mingle outside. Generally I get that, but may I remind you it was about 125 degrees in that place. It's not the worst place that I've been to, but as I said before, just not one of my favorites.

They don't communicate with each other so all three of their "sales team" members will communicate with you. They couldn't find my first deposit so I had to dispute with my bank and right after they apparently found it. Then went back to pay the deposit again, and ended up paying the whole bill right off the bat, no option to change it to just the deposit. They didn't communicate with me at the three week mark before the wedding to finalize the head count so I had the option to cut my head count to 75 from 90 and the difference would be gratuity. So each of the bartenders got around $105 each for around 4 hours... and the audacity to have a tip jar!!!! Unbelievable. Never got to have the margaritas, French 75, or any beer or wine that I paid for. Just had 3 glasses of champagne. You'd think they'd have already set up drinks for the bride and groom at their table but nope! Also was told we would be able to keep the margaritas once the bartenders left. NOPE! EVERYTHING WAS TOSSED! I am so unbelievably upset with this company. Beware of being completely stressed out and barely getting anything out of them. They just want your money. I paid over $3,500 to be completely disappointed. I've definitely been robbed by this company.
