We booked this space for my cousin's campaign event and I'm so glad we did. Lo' and Rosie graciously sponsored our event, which really stood out to us. Everything went smoothly and we were extremely grateful for their sponsorship. We did pay for valet services, and I highly recommend doing so! This made the event extremely easy to access for our guests. Keep in mind, they do have a lot across the street you can park at. The week of, Lo' and Rosie's event manager reached out to ensure we communicated about how we wanted to setup the venue. On the day of, the venue manager was there to let us in and answer any questions for us during our set up. While our event was an absolute success, there was an initial communication delay from the venue prior to formally booking the space. But I loved this space so much, I wasn't backing down . I truly appreciated them taking accountability, addressing the issue, and assuring seamless communication moving forward -- which there absolutely was. I would easily book this space again and again. A true gem!!

I met with David in July 2024, and even though my wedding wasn't until April 2026, he made himself incredibly available throughout that entire time. Whether it was meeting in person, texting, or chatting over the phone, David was always there to answer the many questions that arose during our extensive wedding planning. He was so easy to work with, exceptionally thorough with information, and even provided great suggestions along the way. Additionally, Irene's Bakery--the bakery the venue partners with--was fantastic! The cake was delicious and delivered right on time. We also worked with DJ Ivan, who did an amazing job! He executed our timeline perfectly and played exactly the songs I had requested. On the day of the wedding, our reception went incredibly smoothly. The room was set up exactly according to the floor plan we had discussed. There was plenty of staff on hand, ensuring that both the head table and every guest table were well taken care of. Everyone was attentive and brought a wonderful, positive energy to the evening. As both the bride and the planner of my own wedding, I intentionally tried to keep things relatively simple--and even so, everything turned out absolutely beautifully. We've had 2 weddings at this location and David and his staff were beyond stellar. From our first meetings, until the night of the event, David and the staff stayed in contact with us. We really never had to worry about anything. If we asked David for something special - example, daughter loves Dr. Pepper - it was there. I wish I had taken a picture of the Dr. Pepper bottles on the bar. Still makes me smile when I think about it. Our last wedding was on December 14, 2024. I was nervous about this time frame due to private parties and other weddings. With this date, and other special events happening at Royal Affairs, I was concerned with setup time as I, mother of the bride, was the setup team. David worked with the schedule of other parties, as well as our availability, and made it possible for us to setup before the wedding rehearsal. We got the much-needed rehearsal, and my daughter got a first look at the decorated venue. She was very VERY happy. The day of the event, everything was perfect when we walked in. We were able to get into the Ballroom early for dressing, pictures, etc. Timing was never an issue as, we spoke with David beforehand and he made everything come together for us. The grounds at Skyline Ranch are huge so that dogs had plenty area to run, sniff, and play. Plus, they have a creek with several small pools that allowed the dogs to splash, get muddy, and have fun! They have a huge picnic area and an outstanding pit master that provided us with a great lunch option during our picnic in Fall 2014. They also have a very nice looking indoor facility that we didn't utilize this time because the weather was so amazing. While there are places that need minor upkeep (tiles on the porch need replaced, floors sanded and re-stained, some walls repainted, etc), overall the place is in pretty good shape for a place that is well over a hundred years old. The nostalgia and granduer of the place makes for a nice backdrop for events, even with its blemishes. People rent this venue from the Dallas Woman's Forum for gatherings meetings, showers, weddings, dinners etc. One thing nice about it as a venue is that it has a private parking lot that appears to be large enough for the capacity of the Mansion. If you are considering renting it, please know that there is a particular caterer that has an exclusive for events serving food there, just in case that matters to you, as I know it might would be a factor in a decision if I was making it. Oine really cool fact about the mansion is that it has what is allegedly the very first shower in it that was in Dallas. I looked at it and was glad showers have gotten a lot less complicated over the years! Anyway, overall it is a lovely property and the city is fortunate that it is made available by the Dallas Woman's forum.
