When I came to Jupiter Garden for a tour back in March 2024. I felt like it was the right place. We looked at many places, but this place fit our budget. I worked with Amber Williams, who coordinated everything, with which I had a great experience. She was with me every step of the way in planning. She went out of her way to get me information on anything I asked about. My wedding date was set for October 12, 2024. Everything ran smoothly up until a week and a half before my date. I received a call from Terry Badmus (the owner) stating that they let her go, which I was disappointed about. It's a business, and things happen. What I didn't like was that it seemed that I had to start my contract from scratch. I had received a text saying that I had a remaining balance, but everything was paid in full months before. I had to have an additional meeting with the owner to go over my whole contract. During this meeting, I was told I didn't have enough servers, had to pay additional for that, and was told one of the rooms we had was an additional 800. We opted out due to that additional charge not being part of the budget, and we still had catering, photographers, and videographers to pay for. And he was a bit unprofessional when it came to Amber. I didn't appreciate his berating of her service provided when I had a wonderful experience with her. He had another young lady take over for Amber. The young lady's name is Hiqmah, and although very nice, she dressed unprofessionally for our first meeting with the owner for the final walk-through as well as on the day of my wedding. On the rehearsal/setup day, we had to unexpectedly share that time with another bride and her family. It was frustrating because it was my time, and we got double booked. On the wedding day, we ran into some issues with tables and chairs for my guests, but the staff worked well to fix the issues before the guests arrived. Overall, my wedding was a success! The wedding ceremony took place in the garden courtyard, and the reception was inside. Pros: Decorum is included, and you get to pick what you want; it's spacious and accommodating for up to 200 persons; you can bring in your own food and or catering; you can do any additional decorations you want; staff was friendly and accommodating; dressing rooms were nice but could use a slight update. Cons: no kitchen, fridge, etc.; not many restrooms for a lot of guests; restrooms need an update.

Claims they have security there and that wasn't the case. I ran around all night doing there "jobs" and couldn't find anyone who actually worked for the venue the entire evening after the reception started. Lastly, they proceeded to lock all my stuff I thought as decorations and put it in there storage closet. Pretending they didn't know it wasn't their stuff. You cannot trust these people with your money or belongings let alone family members.

Market Affair is one of those places that instantly makes you say, "Okay wow... I did NOT expect…read morethis." It's a huge, open space, packed with interesting, creative, and genuinely fun vendor booths. I was there during the annual Farmersville Chocolate Walk, and their participation was spectacular. A beautiful table dedicated to chocolate (see my pics). It was clear they were completely all-in and proof why they're such a staple in the community. Beyond shopping, Market Affair doubles as an event venue, and it's a fantastic one. The space can easily host a bridal shower, baby shower, wedding reception, family reunion, and honestly so much more. It's open, versatile, and thoughtfully designed so it actually feels special .. not like you're renting a random room and hoping for the best. The owner even showed me a sneak peek of what's coming next: a new beer and wine space with a gorgeous, sexy vibe that's going to take this place to another level. Yes... sexy beer and wine vibes in Farmersville lol They host events throughout the year, and you can tell when you talk to the owner, this isn't just a business it's a passion project. Places like this don't exist without heart, vision, and a lot of hard work, and it shows! If you're thinking, I don't live near Farmersville... Google Map it. Ample parking even with potholes to deal with. I think the owners of the rental units are responsible for paving the property. Some serious repaving is desperately needed. There are many other wonderful units located within this particular area. Cigars, wines, Chinese food, and other wonderful spots! Well worth making a visit! However, this review is about this venue. I'll be back to visit the other spots because of their uniqueness! The decorations were wonderful! I think they were provided by the persons that booked the unit. They also had servers for food. However, I think that too was booked via the people that rented the venue. The napkins, which were cloth, were dirty and limp. Ugh! Those need to be replaced. Those were quite objectionably dirty! Luis and his staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their support throughout the planning process and on the day of the event made all the difference -- the food was amazing. We felt completely taken care of. The venue is absolutely stunning -- modern, clean, and flexible enough to accommodate both the ceremony and reception in one beautiful space. Our guests were blown away by the ambiance and flow of the evening. A huge thank you to DJ Larry Perez, who brought incredible energy to the party! His music had everyone dancing all night, and the surprise appearance from his robot and big head crew was a total crowd favorite. It made the night feel extra special and fun! My daughter had the time of her life, and we are still getting compliments from friends and family weeks later. The food on the day of the wedding was delicious. The charcuterie table was like nothing I've seen...beautiful and made you eat with your eyes. But the journey to get there? Aye yi yi. The tasting was a disaster. My sister called me after crying that it was so bad they couldn't serve it to their guests and wanted a different caterer. We were told emphatically we couldn't. Her fiancée asked me if maybe they forgot they were coming and just pulled stuff from the fridge. They didn't feel that they were taken seriously when giving feedback about how bad the food was. The problem is that you have to work with Angela, the "Venue/Catering Manager" of the Castle. This is a problem for many reasons: 1) She has absolutely no understanding of food. Or catering, or pricing, or her venue. (She told us that they serve jumbo shrimp with fajitas, when in fact, they serve BAY shrimp, which is what you get in a 99 cent cocktail in Vegas, among the tons of other nonsensical information) 2) Almost every single question that was asked of her, she had to ask the chef, her boss (the owner, Doug), Alfredo the ops manager. You would think that after 25 years with this company, she would have a better understanding of this company and her venue 2) She will definitively tell you that she is not the wedding coordinator. (Not exactly sure what her role is.). She did NOTHING on the day of the event except hide in her office. 3) There was no follow up after the wedding with an invoice, receipt, "thank you for coming", "how was everything", etc In summary: This is a beautiful venue and the onsite staff are terrific. But if you are not a seasoned catering person, please hire someone who is, to do the planning with Angela.

I did not know that it was past time for the bar to close; if they would have simply pointed that out, it would have been perfectly fine. Instead, I was told by one bartender that she would not serve me. I went to the next one, and the mother of the bride ordered my drink for me. The second bartender started making my drink and the first bartender made him pour it out. So weird. Meanwhile, she's making drinks for another guest. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. It was a strange, negative end to a beautiful day, however.

Designed with an all white palate, the space is large enough to accommodate a modest - sized event(under 200) while still feeling intimate. I believe the space is owned and operated by Creative Arts Catering so you are required to use thier services. Their food is excellent though so that would be a non issue for me. My only complaint was with the parking. There were only about 20 parking spaces directly in front of the building and the caterer had their delivery trucks occupying about 5 of those precious few (not a good look at a formal event). Definitely check them out if you're event space shopping on the North side.

We couldn't have picked a better person than Lilian to be our contact. She was patient with our many questions and changes. Even at the last minute, we had to add an 8 person table top and she had it set up in minutes and without disruption. They will stay on the top of OUR list for future needs.
