Elegance, grace, compassion and excellent service are just a few things that we received when we walked into the Rooftop Event Spot in Plano. Coupled with the amazingness of Kylie and Kaylee, I felt like I really could give my daughter the wedding of her dreams! The space was clean, well lit, and easily accessible. We were completely welcomed in and made to feel valued and supported. On the wedding day, I have never seen a staff work so hard! It was like they weren't there, but they always were! No dishes sat used, no napkins cluttered the floor and things were just magically refilled! It was like a fairytale! Awesome place for my 60th birthday psychedelic costume part bash! Annie stayed in constant communication with me and we arranged the venue to include a photo booth area, buffet and bar tables of course, a dance floor and I used one area to make a blacklight lounge / 60's bedroom. "I liked when you insulted me while I was still on the phone and you didn't realize it then didn't have the guts to answer when I called back!" My wife and I booked Rooftop Event Spot for our April wedding, and it was amazing! We got so much more than just a modern venue. Annie did such a great job coordinating and made our life so much easier. She sent questionnaires, put together timelines, and gave us advice any time we had questions. She also was very responsive when we needed to reach out, and coordinated with our vendors perfectly. The venue itself is beautiful, and we were lucky to have a perfect spring day. The views from the rooftop looked amazing, and look great in photos as well. It's a perfect place to soak it all in on the big day. It also paired perfectly with the catering by Urban Crust. We chose Rooftop Event Spot to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The moment we met Kylee at the venue, we knew this was our dream come true. The indoor area was perfect for dining, the dance floor was on the balcony, the view for sunset, and the side room was perfect for a children's area. The weather could not mess with this evening. Attended a wedding some months ago, and I was so surprised by the unprofessionalism of the staff. Not only was the hostess rude, they were completely unorganized. Nothing was set up when we arrived. First, I'd like to thank Rooftop Event Spot for not only allowing me and my husband to have our wedding here, but free of charge! We had chosen another Venue by the name of Noah's Event Venue in April 2019. Our wedding date was scheduled for March 27, 2020. We paid off our venue in February 2020 ($5200.00). Feb 8, 2020 we received a call stating Noah's had been ordered to shutdown permanently! We started checking online and calling the venue. No answer. We started seeing all kinds of news clips that this was true for Noah's Event Venues all over the country. As a couple with 4 children, less than 2 months from our wedding date, we were devastated. We lost our money and really didn't know what to do. Fast forward to reaching out to Rooftop Event Spot in late February... I spoke to Kylee, from the beginning to end, she was understanding, empathetic and helpful. She explained that the owner of the venue had heard about the closure of Noah's, and with a daughter of his own planning a wedding, he felt horrible for all the brides and was offering his spot for FREE! Now as you know the city shutdown about a week before my wedding date which was another devastation, so Kylee rescheduled us for June 5, 2020. The day of my wedding amazing! She literally helped us without any complaints, push backs ect . She was so accommodating to all my needs and the needs of my friends and family. We had 4 guests who arrived late due to another event; the staff had already put the buffet food away after 1 hour! They had to order food from the restaurant downstairs and have it brought up. I was apologetic when my friends told me. Please don't tell me they had to pay for their food? Yes, they did. Embarrassing. I can't believe they only left the buffet open just 1 hour, really?? The bartender wanted to close the bar at 10:15...why, the party wasn't over until 11:00. I ordered a FULL sheet cake so there would be plenty. I requested that the pieces be cut 2"x2" because I had guests that didn't come and I knew there would be tons of cake left over. The pieces come out 1"x1" little tiny portions?! I had friends tell me they went back and got a 2nd piece. If I'm paying for the cake and I tell you exactly I want, please comply. Half the cake was left over. On a positive note, the buffet meal was delicious. The venue is perfect for under 100 people. The sunset view is of course gorgeous. Annie, the event coordinator was awesome. Gave a 50th bday for hubs here. Food! Appetizers were huge hit. Brisket sliders selfish. Have a tasting first so you know what you're getting! Service- good EXCEPT party went til 11 and staff had taken off table linens and flowers by 10 WHILE catering manager watch A/C. It was a very humid night- way too humid to use patio until 9 pm. Catering manager totally screwed up air conditioning so it was condensating on guests Catering manager- Kali has the worst attitude- defensive, doesn't smile, combative and self important. I'll give props to my now husband for picking out this place for our nuptials. It was just what we/I was looking for. I wanted to get married outside and in a non-traditional setting and this fit the bill perfectly!! Rachel Lee was a dream to work with. She was very patient and put up with all my emails and questions leading up to the wedding lol I was praying that it wouldn't rain on our wedding day but of course it did!!! If you want a beautiful place that will allow you to enjoy your special day without the worry of anything to host your wedding/reception, this is the place. If and when kinks get thrown into the plan (because let's be honest, there is no wedding that doesn't have a kink or two) they are quick and skilled at improvising/fixing anything. From the initial planning with Rachel, food organization with Kali, to executing the plan with Whitney, everyone was kind and skilled! Our bartenders were a amazing, unfortunately I cannot remember their names. Everyone loved them and they kept everyone going! We used Urban Crust catering. I made sure to get at least 2 slices in me before being twirled away and it was delicious! Attended a birthday party at the Rooftop Event Spot. Parking was easy, but a sign showing the entrance door would have been helpful rather than having to walk around the entire building. The venue was nicely decorated and accommodated a group of 40-50 people comfortably. A rain shower blew through Plano at the beginning of the party, and it was nice that the patio cover came down to block the rain. It may have been the humidity, but condensation kept dripping down from the AC ducts over the cash bar. Urban Rio catered the street tacos, which could have benefited from a little more seasoning. The separate areas for sign-in, food, and photo booth were nice to spread everyone out. Was a nice venue, but heard from the host that the venue was a little pricey. read more

I just had my wedding here this past weekend and I can not say enough AMAZING things about this venue and these amazing women. Everyone loved the venue and the uniqueness of its atmosphere. The food was delicious (we did breakfast tacos and chicke and waffles-- HUGE HIT!) Rachel and Kali were always quick to reply to emails and phone calls. They were always so patient and kind as I had a million questions. I was able to take my decorations up there with pictures of what I had in mind and they took those ideas and elaborated on them making them more perfect! The day of the wedding Kali went out of her way to make sure me and my new husband had been fed. Not sure who, but someone else packed some to-go boxes for us to eat when we got to our hotel!! After the wedding, they cleaned up, packages all our decorations up and let me know when they are ready to pick up! This was my favorite part. My family, friends and wedding coordinator didn't stay after the wedding to break down and clean everything up. The servers and bartender were on top of their game! Wonderful service by everyone. We hosted our daughter and new son-in-law's wedding reception at The Rooftop in Plano. It is a great location--easy to find with good parking. The venue itself has character, but it's not overwhelming; you can still easily make it your own. The food from Urban Rio was good--guests were complimentary. And Annie . . . she is definitely the best part of The Rooftop! She helped make decisions in the planning process as we needed help since this was a long-distance wedding. She continued to offer services--she has a GREAT memory! Her crew was great--cocktails, appetizers, clean up, etc. And Annie was with us right to the end, making sure we had our things and/or could pick them up later. We cannot say enough great things about this venue. Rachel, Kali, and Michael made our entire wedding day smooth and stress free. These wonderful people are amazing. Rachel was our day of coordinator and she took care of every detail, vendor, everything to make our special day go exactly as planned. Kali was in charge of food and bar and she made sure everything was perfect. Micheal made sure the bride's favorite adult beverage was available, even though it wasn't offered originally. Our wedding day had severe weather, but we didn't even notice because the venue was just as beautiful closed in as it was open. The venue is also in a great location in Plano with plenty of parking and valet is available as well. I cannot say enough good things about Rooftop and Annie, the event manager! She was so nice and easy to work with. They set up and clean up everything, so all we had to do was drop off our decorations with instructions. I really couldn't believe how easy it was, and they absolutely made our dreams come true. So many of our guests commented on how great the place was and that the food was excellent! We used the offset side room as a kids' room, and it was such a hit! The kids were so happy to have their own space to play. Annie also saved the day when the cake vendor flaked. They were supposed to decorate the cake with fruit and the cake topper on arrival, but when the delivery person arrived, they said they "just deliver cakes, not decorate them." Annie saved the day when she could have just left it. It certainly wasn't her job, but she did her best to decorate it and it looked great. Thank you, Annie and Rooftop for the wonderful memories!!
