They also had a microphone with a speaker so that people could talk about their memories with our mom and we could play our mom's favorite songs. She was thorough during our consultation, quickly made changes to our floor plan and was able to adjust our contract as needed. Whitney, our venue supervisor for the day, was able to have everything ready for us. Even with submitting our projected PowerPoint late (morning of), Whitney was able to have it running smoothly. We are very thankful these wonderful ladies were able to make our wedding day go just as planned!

There is a beautiful hallway right outside that's just perfect for taking pictures of your guests as they come in. They're pretty much all-inclusive. However, for our event we opted to cater from another location, but we took the rest of their offers. Since they frequently do weddings, they have a set up Brides' and Grooms' room in the back. It's a perfect spot for hosts to stash their valuables, change of clothes/shoes, and any other miscellaneous things you'd like. Highly recommend coming here. My only recommendation - make sure you get a couple of great photographers. Your event will be absolutely stunning and I assure you that you'll be really upset if all the photos you have are selfies from your cell phone or ones that your guests take. My only regret of coming here is that I wish I had more and better pictures of the event. All our guests could not stop raving about this place! Luis and his staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their support throughout the planning process and on the day of the event made all the difference -- the food was amazing. We felt completely taken care of. The venue is absolutely stunning -- modern, clean, and flexible enough to accommodate both the ceremony and reception in one beautiful space. Our guests were blown away by the ambiance and flow of the evening. A huge thank you to DJ Larry Perez, who brought incredible energy to the party! His music had everyone dancing all night, and the surprise appearance from his robot and big head crew was a total crowd favorite. It made the night feel extra special and fun! My fav were the kabobs, chicken and jelly custard. Make sure to get the jelly custard. Unfortunately, the way management handled our situation has completely changed our opinion of this venue. We had only signed our agreement a few weeks earlier when an unexpected family emergency and unavoidable international visa/travel delays made it impossible for us to continue with our wedding reception. We notified Crystal Banquet a full month before the event, which was scheduled for a Thursday, not even a prime weekend wedding date. We had paid a $1,500 deposit, but no event ever took place and we never received the services we were paying for. We were also still weeks away from the point in the contract when the final guest count, menu selections, and other event details were supposed to be finalized. Despite explaining the circumstances and repeatedly trying to work something out reasonably, management refused to return our $1,500 deposit. Even more upsetting, they pointed to their cancellation policy to claim that we could potentially be responsible for 75% of the invoice because we cancelled 30 days before the event. What made the experience worse was the communication. We tried to speak with management directly over the phone to have an actual conversation about the situation, but our attempts to discuss it were dodged and we continued receiving short responses simply referring us back to the contract. I understand that businesses need cancellation policies and deposits for protection. But there is also a difference between having a policy and refusing to show any reasonable flexibility when an event was booked only weeks earlier, cancelled a month in advance because of circumstances outside the family's control, and no reception or services were ever provided. The entire experience left us feeling that collecting money was more important than working with a family facing a legitimate emergency. What reasonable purpose does keeping the entire $1,500 serve under these particular circumstances, especially for a Thursday reservation that was cancelled a month beforehand? We approached Crystal Banquet expecting compassion, professionalism, and good-faith communication, particularly because we considered them part of our own community. Instead, this situation has been incredibly disappointing and stressful during what was already a difficult time for our family. Based on how management handled our cancellation and communication, I unfortunately cannot recommend Crystal Banquet.
