We recently brought a group of 30 people to The Grapevine Escape, splitting up among The Enchanted Cottage, FocusTec Labs, and The Wine Vault, and every single room was incredible! What really sets this place apart is that owners Russell and Amber design and build these bespoke escape rooms themselves. You can feel the creativity, attention to detail, and passion that went into every puzzle and experience. The game masters were fantastic--friendly, helpful, and perfectly balanced between letting us enjoy the challenge and keeping the experience moving. From the moment we arrived, our entire group was treated with exceptional courtesy and professionalism. Coordinating an event for 30 people can be difficult, but The Grapevine Escape handled it seamlessly. Everyone had an amazing time, and people were still talking about their rooms afterward. This was easily the most fun escape room I've tried. The clues were creative, well thought out, and (not surprisingly) tricky. You can tell the staff really cares and puts a lot of effort into the experience. And for $20, you get unlimited drinks -- which honestly just makes it even better. HOWEVER Russell was so helpful and encouraging (read 'took pity') while maintaining the challenge for us that we escaped by the skin of our teeth! Great local escape room that has cleaver puzzles and good production. This was the second time there (did the wine vault previously and the fairy cleaning this time), and it didn't disappoint. Timothy Y was our game leader and provided the right amount of support to keep things going, but enough independence to let us sort things out ourselves. Oh and if you purchase a reusable cup, you can get free refills of beverages (adult and soda options). Great activity if you want to try something different! read more

My husband and I have done two out of the three escape rooms so far and we had a great experience both times! Ron is an enthusiastic game master and you can really tell that he loves what he does. The puzzles are both complex and interesting, there's a good balance of being able to figure things out yourself while still having the ability to ask for hints if you need it. Overall we had a solid experience here. We did the Lab room. It was really well laid out and the clues were thoughtfully done. The story of the room was great and it connected well with the overall layout. We were able to make good progress and find the clues that we needed. We were able to work as a team, connect and move forward. The only minor issue that we had was that even though the hosts were nice and informative, the style of hosting was a little too upbeat for us. Kinda reminded us of the cheerleaders from SNL. If the energy and excitement was toned down from 12 out of 10 to a 9 out of 10, it would have been more comfortable. Overall though, it is a great escape experience. read more

I absolutely love The Grapevine Escape! I went to an event they put on every year for Halloween and it was super fun. It was a murder mystery mixed with an escape game and it was all original!! So much thought and love went into it. The characters/actors were amazing and the games were challenging but super fun. They can customize for large groups and corporate/team bonding events too. This place is mom and pop owned but it sure doesn't feel like it! I've done many escape rooms and these are top notch rooms! The staff is absolutely brilliant and gives you help when/if you need it. BEST escape room experience in the area! We've been to 2 different places and this is hands down the most fun and friendly escape room! We reserved our time online and we were able to arrive a bit early to sign online waivers (takes just 1 minute) and snap photos and get drinks -- they offer a refillable cup that you can keep to take home after and will refill unlimited for you during the experience. We chose the "wedding" adventure and the room was exciting, challenging and yet rewarding! Our group had kids and adults and everyone was able to contribute without being stressed or overwhelmed -- and the content is family friendly. The room had plenty of challenges and we were racing to finish and 'escape' in the end -- and we did it! Everyone had smiles on their faces! The clues were ready (if you asked) and the set up of the room and the puzzles you solved hit on all cylinders of strengths and logic! They made sure that my visiting niece was very engaged. Also, take advantage of the refillable cups they offer! It's a cool option and great deal on tumbler, too. Now for the rooms, if you're an escape enthusiast...these rooms are immersive and a great challenge. Each room has very different puzzles and the story line works with the design. We had booked this place for a team building event while in the Grapevine area. When we called to confirm had realized our days were off when we were told they were closed the day we were expecting to be there. Now this was the same day as the event we were headed to. What's amazing is that the owners rushed to get to the location, and let us know they would figure things out so that we could still have our event. When we arrived; they were turning lights on and getting the escape room setup. They didn't have to come down and open for us, it was our error but they did anyway. The experience was amazing and authentic. So much fun trying to escape and they even serve bottomless drinks while you are in the escape room, just buy the souvenir cup.
