I thought I was bringing my boys to admire the art and to have a good time, but I too had a very enjoyable experience. We visited on a Thursday, a little after noon. It was not too busy at the time, so we were able to truly enjoy the experience without a crowd of people. When we first walked in, we were surprised to find an entire house behind the door. That was the first of the surprises Meow Wolf held. I will not spoil all of the surprises here, but I must say that we were pleasantly surprised as we went through the exhibit. I could tell a lot of work went into making the various rooms and art in the rooms, and I commend the artists' creativity and downright ingenuity. It is true that everything won't appeal to everyone, and I do not know anyone who likes all music that comes on the radio, all art in a museum, or all books that are in a bookstore. The things that we liked, we savored, and the things that we did not like (which wasn't much), were ignored. As I made my way through some of the exhibits, I felt like a child in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The colors were so vivid, and the art in some areas just seemed to pop off the wall. My sons love having the ability to touch and interact with the art and not just look at it. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are already planning our return.

It failed to respond even when the correct books were pulled. Our guide did confirm this was a room error, and it prevented us from completing the game. It was disappointing that we weren't able to pause our time to have the mechanical error fixed and progress with the game or receive an offer to retry the experience in a functional room.

The original invoice stated that the order would be ready around March 10th. Since today is March 9th, my parents attempted to call the store to follow up. Oddly, someone answered then hung up on them without saying "Hello" or "Please excuse us". This happened 3 times! On the fourth try, the employee on the other line just yelled at my dad! The voice was female, and they were literally yelling loud enough for all of us to hear that our order is not ready. My dad took a deep breath and calmly asked, "Excuse me, but we haven't given you our names or the order number yet." They responded, "Oh, I know. You're calling for [random person's name]." Then we asked, "How would you be able to know? We still haven't given our name or order, plus we never used this phone number to call the store or have it on the invoice." They then snapped, "It doesn't matter. Your order is not ready to pick up." We then requested to cancel our order, and she went ballistic! This employee continued to yell while we remained quiet and calm. Luckily for us, we confirmed that this rude employee was Michelle. We then called our credit card company and explained our situation. They were able to give us a credit equal to the refund, and they let us know that this store is legally obligated to give us a full refund. They also let us know that it is our right to pick up the item anyway since we paid in full. Since we were in the area, we decided to pay a visit. When the employees in the front had a minute, we explained our situation. They immediately called the management, and the store manager sympathized with us. They got with the department manager, and this person was visibly irritated with us. Luckily, the store manager was still with us, so they begrudgingly gave us a full refund. Although we were able to nick this issue in the bud, we do not recommend purchasing from the frame section of this store - or at the very least when Michelle is working. It is sad to state the obvious - don't take your stress out on other people!
