    Great job with custom framing

    This review is for the custom framing department. Having used this department for several pieces I am a fan. For openers, the staff in this area are very friendly and extremely patient. There have been a few times where it took me a couple of hours to decide on a frame/matte combination. Through it all they are always very understanding and supportive; often asking additional questions to help me in the process. Michaels' has a nice selection of frames in a variety of styles, colors and finishes. Equally as versatile is their matte selection which covers the spectrum in colors, finish, etc. One would be hard pressed to leave here and not find something they liked. With so many choices, it can be challenging to decide on a frame and/or matte. Thankfully, Michaels' has nice process that is computer driven. They capture and image of what is being framed and from there the frame and matte styles can be applied presenting a glimpse of what the final product will look like. Overall, I'm very pleased with this location and will continue to do my custom framing here.

    The store people were rude, didn't smile nor did they help me find what I was looking for. Hobby Lobby is so much more than Michael's.

    THEY CLOSE AT 4pm, not 4:30pm on Saturdays. Yelp has it wrong!…read more Until my last experience (the Saturday before Easter), I've had fairly good experiences here. However, after spending over an hour in the car to try to get here from my aunt's house in Greenville, I was rudely yelled at by the owner when entering the store. "We close in 6 minutes!!!" This was the beginning of the end for me... I live in Houston so I only get to come here when I'm in town visiting family or if I make a special trip to come stock up on fabric. I happened to be in town the weekend of Easter and tried to come here on the Friday before Easter, only to find a handwritten sign on the door that they were closed (for Good Friday) and would be open again the next day. That was a bummer, but I asked my husband if we could try to come back on Saturday as I bought fabric from here previously and I needed more of it. My family in the area lives in Greenville, so it was quite a drive to get here from their house. I saw here on Yelp that they close at 4:30pm, so we rushed and I ended up walking in 6 minutes to 4pm. How do I know this? Because as soon as I walked in, the owner screamed "we close in 6 minutes!!!" at me. I responded, "online says 4:30pm and I'm from out of town". She rudely replied "well online is wrong - we've tried to fix it but it's wrong". I rushed to grab my fabric and with 2 minutes left to 4pm, she yelled from the front "are you ready to check out?!" They had already rushed everyone else (all 2 other people) out the door and I was the only one left. Listen, I get that it was a Saturday and you're trying to go home....but you weren't open the day before due to a holiday and you now have a customer in front of you who's ready to spend money and also told you that she's in from out of town... To be treated so rudely, by the OWNER, nonetheless, is absolutely unacceptable. Next time I'm in town, I'm sticking to spending my money at the other 3 fabric warehouses next door as I will NOT be coming back to this place.

    Great prices... clean store... bad customer service…read more Today WOULD have been my third visit, except I was RUSHED out the door and told they were closed.. 10 minutes before they actually closed. Then the rude lady who pushed me out the door felt the need to correct me and say it was 5 minutes until closing, and that they didn't have any customers so they were closing early.. It wouldn't be a big deal but I sat in over an hour of traffic to get there and really needed 20 yards of fabric to finish a project that is to install tomorrow. Awful customer service from this particular lady.

    Corporate dropped the ball on their policy for free in-store classes. According to the descriptions…read moreand terms of service, you must sign up for a slot in the free (no charge for instruction) class. Elsewhere on the site it claims no reservations are necessary; just stroll in! You must purchase a pumpkin in order to access the free materials used to decorate said pumpkin. Okay, understandable. Under the At A Glance section, they claim you can cancel your slot for free. (The slot you don't need to register for ahead of time.) However, under Terms of Service, you're told free classes are ineligible for cancellation. So, which is it? Get your act together, please!

    I placed an order at michaels.com. Some of the items were damage during transport (I think)…read morebecause they were not wrapped properly so all of the glitter and was in the bottom of the package. I kept some that weren't damaged and returned the damaged items and some others that did not work for me. I was told that I could take them to Michaels Store for refund. I took all of the receipts were attached to the packages. I gave the Cashier (which was the Manager) the receipts and when the receipts were scanned, none of the prices came up. Luckily I had the receipts from michaels.com in my email. There were 7 Items that didn't come up. I found a picture on michaels.com and showed the picture to the cashier. She told me she could give me $3+ rather than the $11.99 I paid for each item. I did not purchase at a "sales price" so I didn't want a "sales price" refund. I did not tag the item or generate a receipt. The issue is with the Employee at mchaels.com and it's not my fault. I sent pictures and all of the receipts and I still am not getting a refund. I am completely disappointed with MIchaels. I reached out to Corporate and this is the response: Thank you for contacting us! I am seeing here that the receipt has already been sent over to you. I am sorry but since the items were returned to the stores, they are the only one that can process the refund for these items and correct any mistakes they made.
