It's a fun trip down memory lane, though it doesn't fully capture the magic of the original stores from the 80s and 90s. The store is now franchised rather than corporately owned, which changes the feel a bit. Prices are on the higher side, and while there are some interesting and unique items, there weren't many Toys"R"Us exclusives beyond a Geoffrey the Giraffe pop. Still, the store is clean, organized, and has plenty to explore, whether you're a collector, a parent, or just a kid at heart. A nostalgic stop, but not quite the full experience of the original Toys"R"Us. The guy at the front door was really nice.

I used to buy at Barnes & Noble and Amazon, but this place has a much better price and promotions. Although not my thing, this store has a section for Warhammers, D&D, and living card games. It also hosts tournaments and game demos, of which schedule can be found on the store website or social. The only minus point is there is no shipping if you're from out of town. But that what keeps this place a hidden gem of DFW.

It's everything you want from a place that just sells cool rocks. It feels like old America, like it's been here since the 50s. It has a small-ton vibe, transporting really. It's got lots of cool sparkly, shiny, colorful, blows-my-mind-this-forms-on-its-own things to look at and touch. At the center of all of it is a proprietor who completes the experience. Magnifying goggles sit atop of his head at all times, like they live there, ready at any time to inspect the mineral in front of him. He possesses seemlingly infinite enthusiasm for conversation about the objects in his shop, as if a sale is less a transaction and more an act of sharing. I've noticed he seems to spontaneously mark items down as he's wrapping and loading them carefully in the bag, just because. If I'm writing a movie and the feds need a geological genius to help solve a mystery, this is the guy they call. It's super fun to browse. Clean and airy and well lit. Definitely worthwhile shopping experience. I'd return.
