We went here and took advantage of the President's Day special where it was all you can bowl, laser tag and billards for 15.99 a person and boy did we get our money's worth! We bowled for three hours, played two games of pool and had a ball in the arcade. When we arrived, the lanes were down so the cashier gave each of us (3 of us) a $10 game card to use while we were waiting. Score! We only waited for 5 minutes before the lanes were up and running. Talk about good customer service! On some of the arcade games I lost some credits, so the manager didn't hesitate to give me the credits back, plus more for my trouble. Again, great customer service! We ate while we bowled since we weren't on a time limit and the food was good, not fancy but nothing to complain about. The Main Event in Grapevine is a fun place. Went there last night with a few good friends for some bowling and pool. Monday was unlimited bowling and pool night..sweet. We didn't know that until we got inside. The lanes are really cool. Decked out with black lights, lasers, and a big drop down screen to watch Notre Dame get stomped by Bama. The little computer system that runs your lane is super easy to use and its very fast. The lanes were just about full, yet they still had plenty of each weight of ball with each size finger holes. Very convenient. The balls didn't seem to beat up either. We played 3 rounds, now on to pool. The bar wasn't 21 and up only quite yet (at about 830) so there were kids running around the pool/bar area. That bothered me, not gonna lie. We grabbed a couple drinks and balls from the bartender and grabbed a table. The tables seemed to be in good condition: no holes in the felt, 95% level, even bumpers. The cues were better than most pool halls, but were still pretty "used." We played 2 rounds and decided to head out. Gripes: -Very slow service at the bar. There was maybe 3 people at the bar, yet we had to wait at least 2 minutes just to get spoken to. Just got kind of annoying after a while. -The main lights would turn on and it just happened to be in the middle of a roll for me each time. -The rental shoes were in BAD shape. -Kids running around the pool hall area... This place is a good place to go to if you want to hang out with people late at night, but hate that smokey bar and club scene. I came with my cousins at around 10pm on a Saturday night. No problems parking. The place wasn't PACKED, but it was definitely full. The pool tables, bowling lanes, and karaoke room were full, so we opted for the arcade games. The games were your usual run-of-the-mill arcade games (with the exception of the 4D zombie shooting game. Just do it). Given I was here in a Friday afternoon but the service was great. We didn't have to wait for anything. My only complaint is that some large groups were able to reserve all the pool tables with only a few open for others. None of them were being used either. I'm a food critic. Last Sunday January the 2nd, our family went to had a great time. Was a good atmosphere. We ordered some food for the whole family, the service was "ok" considering lack of employees. But, it took sooo long to get our food, besides, I paid almos $150.00 for just a pizza, some wings, breadsticks and a salad. I believed it was a mistake. My comments in no specific order... My first impression was I hated it before I stepped foot in your door. Finding access to your parking lot is a joke. 10 restaurants border your lot and not one has access. There are no signs to indicate how or where to access your lot. From the highway 114 frontage road, the west drive has a sign for car service entrance. The east drive has a sign for hotel entrance. Not a single visual indicator for how to get to your parking lot. Our waiter was awesome. I tipped him additional $40 cash on top of the included gratuity. He took charge of most everything. The arrival / check-in process should be revised. You need a dedicated party concierge at the entrance. Not a kid standing around but a podium with signage for parties and straggling guests to check in and be escorted to the correct table / room. This is a simple affordable solution for a clear gap you have in your check-in process. There were 4 or 5 employees hanging around the front door that could do more than tell me to get in line with the people paying to bowl. You already had my money so I'm not expecting to stand in line. If you really want to attract the a wider demographic that will spend, get a valet service subcontracted at no expense to you. Parking is a real drag there and people are having to carry heavy loads in and out. Our table was not ready when we arrived. We were seated in the bar.  Two different guests/parties wandered around for 15 mins looking for us. Both groups inquired at the bowling desks for our location. Not helpful because we we not at our assigned table. The music was so loud that each person could only communicate with the person directly next to him with a loud voice. Food was good. Drinks were good Your database has issues... The agenda printout said our party started at 1630. My receipt and web confirmation said 1700 and the reservation agent said be there at 1645. We were there at 1645 as instructed and stood around until 1700. Why have us show 15 mins early to stand around holding all of our birthday stuff looking lost? Main event is mainly expensive. We came here early morning during Spring Break. We had an amazingly helpful and kind employee, Elijah, assist us with getting settled and getting a bowling lane. We played a game of bowling and then laser tag. We didn't play any games because coming here was to get away from the copious gaming of spring break. In the heat of summer, I might reconsider this review. However it's beautiful outside and I feel like I could have found something else for us to do for much less money, but enjoyed just as much. My husband took me bowling for Mother's Day and it was a ton of fun! Sundays after 5pm, bowling is ~$30/hr and extra for shoe rentals. We were able to get in about 3.5 games. The shoes (with velcro) and bathrooms seemed a bit on the "worn" side, but still clean. The facilities overall seemed nice, especially the bowling lanes. They have balls of varying weight at each lane and size (S-M-L) clearly marked on the balls so you don't have to keep trying to find the one that fits your hand. The display screen prompted us for a selfie before starting to bowl and our (masked) faces ended up on the screen the whole time. I hadn't been to a bowling alley before where the fault line was active and if you step over, you definitely lose out on any points you would have received. I also liked their kid-friendly option that was shaped liked a dinosaur (?). Came to this location a few months back. Really clean. I couldn't really speak for an experience with kids because I came here on a date. We Played some pool and sat at the bar. The drinks were good and the bar was intimate and fun. There were a ton of pool tables (12+). So, no waiting around for a table. We also played some games, kind of had a Dave and busters feel. My expectations for Main Event were very high. Sadly, we were highly disappointed. The simplest games were over priced and were a small variety for such a big place. We went bowling and was asked if we wanted a server, which we agreed. We ordered the Ultimate Nachos and the ingredients were poor quality. It was cold, chicken was dry (definitely tasted frozen). Ended up ordering cheese pizza which was a bit more decent. Beer was flat, the bowling balls got stuck and had to wait, which made us lose our game time. The server was kind. You have to go to each station (billiards, bowling, and laser tag) to reserve a slot, even if you buy the day pass. Most of them have a long wait which forces you to dick around until one opens up. Main Event was alright - it didn't quite live up to my expectations based on what I'd heard, but it was still fun. I should preface this by saying all other bowling alleys have been ruined for me by the now defunct, but once spectacular Splitsville. We went and got the summer deal where you pay X amount and get all you can play bowling and pool. I was enjoying bowling until they turned on blue lights, which made a design of spiders and spiderwebs show up on the bowling alley. Distracting and it wasn't anywhere close to Halloween...? I was also frequently distracted by the huge screens playing music videos. This might be fun for some people but I felt like an ADD squirrel who couldn't focus on anything. Food was really expensive for not much quality, so I would recommend eating somewhere before coming here. I can't really put my finger on what was so Meh about the whole thing. I always have a blast at Dave & Busters and bowling just about anywhere is usually great. Unfortunately I have to post a very negative review. Our night started with ordering drinks where I killed a roach on the bar top. There was also some type of beetle crawling around. Additionally when making our drink the bartender broke the glass of the mixing cup, and instead of starting fresh just one the bartender just poured it into a new glass and tried to serve it to us. Then when trying to order coffee at our lane I asked 4 people where our waiter was. Then once I placed the order it took 3 frames of 6 bowlers to get it. That is about 20 minutes. I walked in expecting to have a fun Friday night out but apparently walked into an escape room. I say this because my main reason for coming to this establishment was to play billiards. I decided to obtain the $20 all inclusive pass and play laser tag and bowling while waiting for a pool table to become available. no pool tables were available so we killed time by playing laser tag. Once we had completed our laser quest we walked to the pool tables and saw an opening. I walked to the front desk and ask for equipment to play billiards. Little did I know there was a wait list that i was completely unware of and wasnt made aware of by the staff when first purchasing my all inclusive pass. So after putting my name down I waited. Once we waited about 30 minutes and got our pool table. We decided to purchase food. We asked the waitress how to order food at the pool table. We were told to go to the bar and order. My friend went to the bar and asked to order. The bartender said to him that he can't order there at he bar and made a sly remark as a joke but we did not laugh. We then were told we had to order at the cafeteria. I went to order and had to wait about 10 minutes for the cafeteria workers to get everything in order and I ordered my food. I played for a while until my buzzer buzzed. I then got my food and made haste to the table. Everything was smooth sailing from that point on but the first hour there was a real pain. The staff has horrible service ! First, the bartender was not attentive when we asked for our drinks and will disappear and just make faces. Second, we played the VR game and it only worked for one of us and the lady told us that it doesn't work and they couldn't fix it,which is a really dumb reply.(why did they let us play in the first place) Third, a asked for a refund and the manager Chris took 40 minutes to refund us are points and just wasted our time. Bowling with the family and having a great time. Thanks to ME for turning off cosmic lights for my son who has epilepsy, so we could finish our game. Too bad the bowling system messed up one of his turns. A little food and drink made for a fun family outing (and staying out of the cold). Food and drink service is slow during slow times but nice to bowl and play pool without cigarette smoke. There are game card dispensers for the videogames that will work off a credit card. Turned out to be pretty convenient when I finally found the machine that worked. Also had time to work in some hoops against the family. Knocked down a 72 on the bball machines so watch out Mavericks, I may have a shot at getting on the roster this year. read more

Came to this location to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends. I must say, the prices were decent. Clean environment. However, their staff members are extremely rude, and offered terrible customer service. Now that we think about it, the entire staff were Caucasians. We didn't see any other race -- therefore, this and what had happened the night of my birthday bring us to the conclusion that the manager of this location may be racist. My group went on a Saturday night. It was pretty busy. We were in the billiard area, shooting pool, playing shuffleboard, minding our own business and just having fun. Our group decided that the losing team would have to buy the winning team shots for every game. We only had 2 rounds of shots -- NO ONE was drunk or buzzed. After another game, we went to the bar to get more shots and the bartenders RUDELY said they would not serve us anymore because we were being too loud. WHAT THE HECK?! Main Event is an entertainment building -- people go there to have fun, no? There were other groups who were being just as loud and yet, those bartenders were still serving those groups drinks. My group found that extremely unfair and asked for the manager. Of course, being the manager, he stands behind his employees -- that, I find understandable. But! What made it even worse was that the manager called the cops on us because we were telling him how we felt that the way he treated our group was unfair -- so we got kicked out of Main Event, on my birthday. The manager nor any of the employees warned us to lower our volume before he decided to call the cops and have us kicked out. The night of my birthday ended with one of my friends almost going to jail/getting a ticket and getting kicked out of Main Event for having too much fun. Seriously? If you are any other race besides Caucasian, do NOT go to this location. They will kick you out and/or treat you like dirt! Just drive the extra few miles and go to the Lewisville location. The staff at the Lewisville location treats everyone equally with great customer service. read more

I can't say that this Flower Mound establishment is revolutionary or on the cutting edge of bowling technology... but I can say that the waitstaff was kind enough to take a group pic with like eleventy dozen cameras right before closing. Ita pretty standard lanes with beer service (important, you know) and a random assortment of snacks with plenty of lane space to boot. We had a blast! It was myself, my husband, another couple and their 3 yr old daughter. We ordered the "players platter" from the bar area and everything was delicious. It was cheap and filled us all up! We had a few cocktails which were so cheap I couldn't believe my eyes. I had a delicious blueberry vodka and soda water for only $5 and a shot of fireball for $3! Back home that drink would cost me at least $8 and the shot at least $7! We decided to bowl and had a great time. All of us adults were wearing sandals and with the show rental they gave us FREE socks! Thought that was awesome of them being that they could easily charge you just to make more money if they really wanted to. The place is very accommodating to younger children giving the option of bumpers or a cushion slide shaped as an awesome glow in the dark dinosaur to push the ball down. A pretty fun place. They have such a wide variety of things to do that it's real good for big groups or familys. There's bowling, arcade, laser tag and a bar with foosball, pool tables and shuffle board. The bowling alley is for a more casual bowler, with the whole black light thing on friday and saturday nights, and you also have to pay hourly for bowling instead of per game. I prefer that, especially since it's more affordable if you have several people to split the cost. Only real gripe I have is that it gets really crowded on weekends, but that's not really a terrible thing. You have to wait for a lane but you can always wait at the bar which isn't all bad. read more
