If you're expecting old school arcade games like Free Play Arcade, you'll be disappointed. If you want to be transported to Japan via Arlington, read on. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Step into the world of the Japanese arcade. As you walk in, you'll notice claw and Gachapon machines tempting you to play and win something. There's Japanese pop music piping through the speakers, and a dedicated room full of imported Japanese arcade games add more sounds. There's also a dedicated bar and dining area. It was relatively empty at 12:30 PM on a Friday. But it's also simply INCREDIBLE if you're into Japanese culture. You're not in DFW anymore. 2 Star. Service - There's a friendly bartender, if you want to order drinks (I did not). Otherwise, you place your order at a kiosk, grab a numbered puck, and then grab a seat. When your puck starts making a sound, your food will be ready at the windows. Heads up, if you leave you table unattended the staff with clean up so others can sit. They're very efficient. 1 Star. Food - Let me first say, if you're looking for the Free Play Arcade experience, you will be disappointed. If you're looking to be transported to a Japanese arcade (me) this place is awesome. The kiosks are very straight forward; you can order packaged ramen to ramen made in house. I went with the Street Tonkatsu. The broth was mild (not overly salty), and the pork belly was very tender. I also ordered the Tokyo Station Tacos. The JBBQ pulled pork was surprisingly tasty, but I couldn't help but long for a Chinese Bao instead of a tortilla. But what impressed me the most was the booth we sat in. It was connected to a monitor, and we could access a bunch of SNES games. 1 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes! Tokyo Station is my kind of jam. The only thing that gave me concern is that it wasn't very busy on a Friday. I hope this concept stays, because it's the closest thing to a Japanese arcade besides flying to Japan. 1 Star.

They did have a decent selection of pinball machines...however they are NOT included in the free play. I was a little surprised but also disappointed that pinball was extra... The cost for the "free play" is a little pricey compared to Cidercade...if we are comparing size and what's included. I also think that it helps to have an interest in japanese video games, which I do not. This is a really small arcade which did make it hard to move around and there were lines for the popular games, unfortunately, the overall experience was not really that exciting. The service at the bar was the great, the bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. There is a separate area for the free play and the kids working the counter were mostly on their phones unless someone walked up to them.

Beware of prize scams!…read more I've been a massive customer of this location for years, and being scammed by them like this is a huge disappointment. Claimed this PS4 controller charger listed for 3,590 but they charged me over 4,000 tickets. After the guy at the counter charged me, I told him the item was listed for less. He checked the item where I showed him (see pic), then said it was a wrong label. Asked him if they would at least honor the price posted, and he said they wouldn't. No apology or willingness to make things right, whatsoever. Still can't believe I was scammed by what I considered to be my favorite arcade in DFW. Be sure to ALWAYS verify how much this arcade changes you at the prize counter. I also recommend checking out other arcades in the area.

It's such a great option when you have a toddler who needs to burn off some energy but it's way too hot to be outside. In addition to the main play areas, they have a reading area, play kitchen, train set, and a small café where you can grab coffee, sodas, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, and other snacks. The real stars are definitely the soft play and play gym areas. There's a separate area for babies and younger toddlers (3 and under) with a small slide, ball pit, little spinning carousel, games, and bouncy toys. I really liked that this area is easy for parents to move around in and stay close to their little ones. Then there's the large, multi-level padded play structure with several slides, ball pits, a trampoline, swings, climbing areas, and lots of places to bounce and explore. Some sections can be a little tight for adults trying to follow their kids through, but they also have cameras where you can watch the play areas from the seating area. Everything seemed clean enough and there are plenty of hand sanitizer stations throughout along with bathrooms nearby. My daughter had an AMAZING time and did not want to leave. She loved it so much that we're seriously considering getting a membership. Definitely recommend for families with toddlers and young kids!

There was also an upsetting interaction involving the owner, Michelle, and a young woman attending the event. From what I witnessed, the situation escalated when the young woman was accused of going behind the bar after being told to walk to the end of the bar to get her own water. The interaction became heated, and the young woman was ultimately asked to leave. I personally witnessed Michelle push her, which made the accusation that the young woman had hit Michelle especially concerning. Unfortunately, the overall experience was not worth the $55 admission. Drinks took approximately 45 minutes to get, and the bathroom line was just as long. The entertainment itself also did not live up to what I expected from an event advertised as an "Australian Takeover." Overall, this event was a major disappointment. I hope the establishment takes a serious look at crowd capacity, guest safety, and how situations with customers are handled. Based on my experience, I would not recommend spending $55 on this event.
