Ghost Food Park - Birria ramen

Nice small food park in Dalworthington Gardens/Central Arlington…read more I just happened by on a Monday but the trucks were in hibernation mode. I came back on early Saturday evening after a nice cooling rain. It was pleasantly not crowded. I got a couple of empanadas from one truck and a couple of smash burgers from another. Both items were delicious. When I go back, I want to try something from the hibachi grill. I got an Oakcliff smashburger and my son enjoyed a Dallas. We loved our burgers. You could tell they were made fresh with chunks of avocado and bacon for me! The empanadas were good if a bit small. The dough pocket could have been premade, so I'll have to try something else from that food truck. That's the beauty and draw of a food truck park as pi your able to try have what you want and still eat together! I hope people come out and give this place a try. Come check it out, they got something for nearly everybody!

We saw a special deal from 225° BBQ on Facebook that was too good to pass up. It was their brisket…read moreburger, two birria tacos and fries at a price like eating at Burger King. When we got there, I asked about the special and was told it was for the day before. We were so disappointed that we almost decided to try them another day, when the special deal returned. I am SO glad we didn't leave! The staff were very friendly and answered our questions about various menu items. After we were served, they checked on us to see how we liked the food. They really seemed to care. The place has a dark, pool hall feel to it with several pool tables scattered around the dining area. We were there on a weekday around lunch time, so no one was playing pool. It wasn't your typical BBQ place atmosphere, but everyone seemed friendly, like at a neighborhood restaurant where many people know each other. We had their brisket burger and it was NOT just ground brisket. It had sliced brisket on top of that. It is normally served with mayo, but Bon hates mayo with a passion, so we asked them to hold the mayo. For the side, we selected the French fries which are fried in beef tallow. The burger was delicious and BIG! We split one between the two of us. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and tasted great. Add on a couple cold draft Shiners and you have a great tasting and satisfying meal. We are DEFINITELY going back to try other items on the menu (like the "green spaghetti?!?"). Unlike the advice from another reviewer, don't give up on the other BBQ places. Texans need to support ALL the great ones, Like 225º BBQ. Add them to your list and enjoy great Texas barbecue at all of them!

I ordered the street tacos with brisket. It came with an order of 5 tacos. I also got the green spaghetti. The brisket had a really good and savory taste to them with a little fat to set them off. The salsa verde could've been a little spicier but still delicious. The green spaghetti was not hot but it was interesting and I'd get again but add some salt. The young lady working at the counter was sweet and helped me make my decisions. The food came out quickly, too. Now I was slightly confused and thought I was at the wrong spot because it's essentially a bar/pool hall that sells food but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't too loud or busy either. I ate some of my food and had plenty leftover. Definitely a must try!

When I was on my birria kick I would drive from Arlington all the way here because no other place came close. The meat is full of flavor and spice and the conzume they bring out with it is just as good. Its full of spice and flavor and I straight up drink that by itself, i dip my tortillas with it. I usually put salt and lemon on the tortillas and then roll them up and dip em in the conzume. In the past, I had the ramen, the platillo, the tacos, and I think the quesabirria, they are all delicious but my favorite is the quesabirria and the tacos, followed by the ramen. The menu is small but just stick with the tacos or buy the meat by the pound, and you are good to go. The rice and beans are average but still good; the salsas they have on are amazingly delicious. The light green one is my favorite because is not too spicy but spicy enough to give me that kick am looking for in my food. I drown my food in that salsa sometimes and then dip in conzume.

It hurts me to write this review because I've been rocking with Gabe's for a long time. I've…read morerecommended it to plenty of people, and several of them ended up loving it just as much as I did. I usually order through Uber Eats because it's a pretty good distance from me, but over the last six months to a year, something has drastically changed. The quality of the chicken is completely off. The fries aren't the same either. The ranch is still on point, so I'll give them that. Last night I ordered a six piece, and I could barely chew the chicken. It wasn't tender or juicy. It was tough, rubbery, and felt like I was chewing something I couldn't even break down. Some of the skin had a weird slippery, almost plastic-like texture that I couldn't bite through. It honestly didn't taste like real chicken, and it definitely didn't taste like the chicken I used to get from Gabe's. To make matters worse, I ordered a Coke that arrived warm. Not cool, not room temperature, but warm enough that it clearly hadn't been refrigerated. Food is too expensive these days to be playing with people's meals. I don't know if they changed chicken vendors, changed suppliers, or changed the way they prepare it, but something is different, and not in a good way. I'm genuinely disappointed because this used to be one of my favorite spots.
