This fish of the day didn't even cost $40, and I left satiated by the portion size. The bread was delicious, and the butters were shaped beautifully. I just wish I got the bread before all the food was done. Since bread is usually an appetizer. All in all, a membership isn't worth it for here unless your company pays for it or you regularly host large gatherings and feel the desire to impress your guests.

Social Running-Fort Worth (and its sister Social Running-North Fort Worth) is one of the best…read morerunning groups in the Fort Worth-Dallas metroplex. One thing that makes this group so great is the wide variety of runners who show up every week to run along the banks of the Trinity River, starting and finishing at the Clearfork Food Park. There are fast pacers, slow walkers, and every pace in between. Men, women, boys, and girls range in age from 10 years old to 80+ years old. If you can't find at least one or two runners among these folks who look and run like you, then you just aren't looking. There are no pretenses, ulterior motives, sales pitches, or judgmental attitudes in the Social Running group. Everyone seems to show up for the run and the possibility of making new friends. To be sure, like any social group, it might take a couple weeks of showing up to find your place and begin to learn the names of other runners. And like any social group, you might have to be the first one to walk up to someone, introduce yourself, and ask them how long they've been running. Or not. You just as well might find you are the one being sought out and welcomed! This 4-mile run begins at 7 p.m., but it is good to get there about 20 minutes ahead of time because the group organizers have a brief 10-minute orientation for newcomers that begins 10-15 minutes before the run begins. There are no timing chips; this run is your run to run however you like. Their Web site is a good place to start. They ask you to register on their Web site before each run, but it is more an administrative detail than it is anything else. There is never any charge for any social run. Sometimes they will move the run to begin and end at a nearby restaurant. When they do that, there is a charge for drinks afterwards. But even so, you don't have to pay anything just to join in the run. I have been running with Social Running-Fort Worth since June 2015. Each Wednesday I have enjoyed running with 40-50 participants, sometimes more. In my opinion, this is the best organized, best represented, consistently best attended running group in Fort Worth.
