Cast in action, mimicking a coach in audience

NEW LOCATION ALERT! Their location is at Stage West Theater on Vickery blvd, just south of I30, less than 10 minute drive from old location on Houston street in downtown (see their FB page for details). Parking AND entrance are in the back of stage west building (you can NOT enter from front) This is improv with a LOT of twist! They incorporate short skid, music, images on projector, outfit changes, paper suggestions, & plenty of interaction with audience. Admission is $30 pp. There's a bar on site for water, wine, beer, & cider (see picture for pricing). They are SOLD OUT most weekends, so get there early to get your seat(s) & make sure you are not interrupting the show (it does get annoying, be courteous!). They can pick anyone in the audience, even if you sit in the back! The sound quality from the mics during their songs, made it hard to understand at times, so we missed out on some of the jokes. Other than that (& the late comers walking during show looking for empty seats), it was great!

    Where the fun happens!

While no longer in their theater downtown, the guys at Four Day Weekend are as funny as ever! Currently they are playing at Casa Mañana's Reid Cabaret Theatre. This intimate setting brings the audience right into the action. Don't think sitting in a booth on the back wall will get you out of the spotlight! The theatre does have a full bar to help wet the appetite. So come prepared with your favorite saying and get ready to laugh.

The theater. Nostalgic and small. Very cool place.

This was definitely worth the experience and we plan to go again. Website said "Who's Line Is It Anyway" meets "SNL". They weren't to far off. Using skits with cues from the audience that were filled out pre show, and twice using audience members to either creat a skit off of their experiences and once using an audience member in the actual skit. Good laughs. Funny watching them, some of them would even laugh and have a hard time performing. Adds to the fun!!! Consider arriving 30 minutes or more early, so you can fill out notes to place on a board that they use in the show. Good times! At $25 per person it really is a great deal. They do serve drinks. Small bar prices, and there is an intermission to take a break about 45 minutes in. We went to the 7:00 show and we were out about 8:40.

We ordered our drinks on their QR code which also included our table number. 45 min after ordering I asked the first person where our drinks were. She had me repeat my order and said she'd go check. Didn't see her again. Saw people around us get multiple drinks. I asked another person who walked past and she answered I just being out the food. So I asked her who was I suppose to ask since I never had a waiter come talk to us. She said she'd be back. Again nothing. Finally saw a waitress who again asked for my order. She came and went multiple times. I had to get up and go near the back so I can catch her. Asked her again and had to again repeat my order. I finally got my drinks right before the show ended. And of course got charged. Terrible experience due to that alone.

The event itself was listed to start at 9:30pm. I understand something may happened unexpected however we stood in the line without any updates or notifications for over a hour! In high heels and Texas 90° HEAT! We arrived at 9pm didn't get in until 10:20pm! The event had a full food menu however, only burgers and cold ass fried were available. The waiters were nice and did the best they could however, we will never be back to this place. Allegedly, Nick was looking for the best comedians in the city but seemed more like an open mic night that used Nick Cannons name for promotional reasons. Granted he was there, introduced the show, made a lil joke and promoted his upcoming wild'n out event in November but after a hour he was gone! I saw him on another flyer at StoneWater for the same night so I'm sure that's where he went. It was supposed to be to be a nice date night but it was unorganized and super delayed! No offense to the comedians because some were really great however I would not recommend! They should've gave everyone a refund.

General admission is pretty reasonable--usually around $6 to $8 depending on the day and time you go. The place is absolutely massive!! I had no idea that it was so big!! Not only is there a whole dedicated dance floor but tons of pool tables, arcade games, and even a full indoor rodeo arena for live bull riding! I was misled and thought there was a mechanical bull.. there is not unfortunately but there is like a fake bull you can pay and take photos with. We happened to walk in right in the middle of a line-dancing class, which was super fun to watch! It's pretty amazing how quickly the dancers, both men and women, picked up the steps and choreography. They were all super good! Afterwards, it transitioned into open floor dancing, which was equally entertaining in my opinion! As a first-timer, it was a total blast and it's easy to see why it's such an iconic tourist destination. We didn't end up eating here since we had just grabbed dinner at Cattlemen's nearby, but the BBQ and other food options here didn't look super appetizing. Still, for drinks, dancing, and authentic Texas atmosphere, it's a must-visit when you're in the Stockyards!

Set design, costumes, choreography, singing, music, acting were all top notch. Some of the things you should know before you go. 1) Parking can be a challenge because they don't have their own garage. There are several garages nearby (about a block walking distance), but you will want to arrive really early to make sure you have time to find a space, make your way to the theater, and find your seat before the show starts. We were coming from Richardson, so we knew we would need over an hour to travel there, but because of the parking situation, we left even earlier at 11:30 am for a 1:30pm show time start. 2) The building is quite modern. They have several entrances, but you may be asked to wait on the street in the elements before they open the doors and start scanning tickets. Be prepared to stand in the elements. 3) The seats are quite narrow and the arm rest is shared with your seat mate. If you are an average sized American, you might find the average seats quite uncomfortable. The person next to me was blubbering through her seat into mine. She was also very enthusiastic tapping along with the beat. Both things were unpleasant for me. There are box seats that have independent chairs. If I return to this venue, I will pay for one of these to avoid feeling like a sardine. They have an amazing line up of shows. I wish they were closer because I would definitely be a season ticket holder so that I could enjoy every single one of their amazing shows.

The show takes place inside the main arcade/bowling building, in the big party room on the left side as you enter the bldg, by the food counter. Check-in process was very easy, just show your receipt(s) for online ticket purchase. You can also purchase ticket on site, but no guarantees. Room is spacious with several nicely-spaced round tables with 6 chairs each & 2 large booths in the back of the room. You can get your table first or your food order, tables are 1st come 1st serve. You get a buzzer that notifies u when food is ready, so it's nice not to have to stand around the food counter (A PLUS). Drinks are self-serve & free refills all night. All the facility staff are very courteous & welcoming. The large pizza had generous toppings & flavorful, well-worth it. Kids also enjoyed the crispy tender basket with generous amount of fries. Table next to us got the nachos, which was huge, with generous toppings, for $11. Now the comedy itself: wish I could give 5 stars bc I really liked everything else, but the jokes were mostly eehhh, for lack of better words. I understand that it is improv, but there were many moments of awkward, cheesy dialogues & remarks. Loved that they included the audience, though. The funniest part was when they borrowed 2 of audience's cell phones & improvised their texts. It was still a fun family night overall. 4 stars bc everything was pleasant & affordable ($65 total for 5 of us including food), but the jokes definitely needed improvement.
