Sort of pricey for the games but has everything you could want; you literally can spend all day there!

We're getting closer to being like Cali with all the businesses we are having here. I wish they chose a different mall to open up in but it is what it is lol. After visiting numerous round 1s in other states this one is not bad! The upper floor is a Spocha which I haven't seen before actually.

We decided to come here for bowling. First off, nobody knows what is going on and it feels like a bunch of robots are working. They charge for "VIP" lanes, which are the first 4 out of 8 lanes. If you don't pay the extra fee, you have to wait for lanes 4-8 to open. Nobody paid for VIP so we were all crammed into the 4 lanes, instead of spreading us out. Make that make sense. The AC was broken, with no warning, in the middle of summer. We bought some drinks but asked for a pitcher of water...they charged us $10!!!! I don't agree with paying for TAP WATER in general but definitely not when they can't provide air conditioning. Safe to say this place is very weird and an absolute rip off.

My nephew LOVES claw machines and he had an absolute blast using these here. However the price per machine is outrageous. At first we got him $70 worth of credits but it lasted him maybe 40ish minutes. On top of that the larger claw machines are difficult and kinda sketchy when you actually grab something but drop it on the way to the prize door. Aside from that, he did accumulate a good amount of tickets and grabbed some pretty decent prizes in their prize store. The pizza was pretty good also. Overall, it's a lot of fun but you will spend a pretty penny.

Our first and not last time coming to the R1 in Arrowhead, the price is the same anywhere you go for the R1 franchise, I'd say the amount of prizes we got was pretty equivalent to the amount we spent for credits. The workers were very nice & shown great spirit! The workers helped & was patient with us when it came to fixing the machines or coming to get our prize out for us, (lowkey felt like we were annoying because we kept grabbing them ) but they were so nice & giving us tips how to win... definitely will be coming back with friends :)

Conveniently located right off Grand Ave (US 60) in a little strip mall right in the heart of Surprise. Tons of ample parking for you and some of your closest friends! We were greeted immediately when we walked in. Contrary to what a few of the other reviews have said, you do ** NOT ** need to bring quarters with you. Obviously, you can. But it's not necessary. The nice gentleman running the place today gladly took our $20 bill and give us a few $5 bills back. From there, you can go to their change machine in the back, chuck in your $1 bills or $5 bills and it'll spit out quarters at you. Once you've got your pockets full of quarters, head over to one of the many machines and be prepared to be entertained! It's $1 per game. I know, but this ain't 1984 anymore so a dollar per game checks out. We blew through our $20 in a hair over an hour. It is incredibly clean inside! The machines functioned with no issues at all and I can't stress enough about how clean the machines (and everything) was here at Player 1! If you want to partake in some soda or alcohol, they can serve you up some refreshments while you've got your hands full with a pinball machine. Super fun way to spend a hot summertime afternoon here in Arizona. We will DEFINITELY be back. Such a cool place. Can't recall the last time I saw this many pinball machines lined up in a row. I think I was listening to Van Halen on cassette on my boom box. Highly recommended, friends! Go check them out!

My favorite was the Take on Me mural, but Bowie, Prince and Ghostbusters are cool too. They had Beastie Boys. It's not loud, but not crowded on Sunday. They have a pinball league. Not only was everything in working order, but we were shocked to find several very rare games here! For example Jumping Jackpot, Chameleon Paradise, the Flintstone's coin push machine, a sit down version of Pirate's Hook. Icee's were good as was the soda. Didn't have actual food, but since the service was slightly slow, the lady gave us all these drinks for free which was super generous and fantastic! In the arcade there are multiple tables WITH CHAIRS where parents can actually sit down whilst their children play their hearts out. I have never seen actual chairs available throughout an arcade before, and we got to them all. Very refreshing! Now I know next time we can bring the grandparents. Ropes course looks super fun and is up above the arcade. If you want to bowl, they have about 20 lanes available. Prize selection is high quality and diverse. Far superior to Fat Cat's, Peter Piper, Chuck E. Cheese, etc. Again, if you have been avoiding this place due to the bad reviews, we encourage you to give it a chance. We loved it, and we had an awesome time. Will definitely be back. I only wish they would offer some kind of summer pass like Dave and Buster's. That would make it even better. Happy gaming! :-)

So there we were, headed to Castles N' Coasters a wholesome amusement park in the desert... a place…read morefor families, laughter, and apparently, poor decision-making. Now my buddy this man reaches into his pocket and pulls out what I can only describe as a historical artifact. I'm talking a doobie so big it looked like Bob Marley himself rolled it during a greatest hits tour. I said, "Absolutely not. I am a grown man. I got responsibilities. I got a mortgage. I got snacks at home I haven't even finished yet." That didn't matter. Next thing I know, windows are up, car turns into a Dutch oven of bad decisions, and now I'm just along for the ride literally and spiritually. Somewhere between "this is a bad idea" and "why is everything funny," I lost control of the evening. We pull into the park around that magical time you know, that in-between hour... not quite day, not quite night... like God dimmed the lights and said, "Alright boys, let's see what happens." The whole place is glowing neon lights, arcade buzz, roller coasters rattling in the distance. Felt like walking into a carnival dream... or maybe a fever dream. Jury's still out. Now here's the thing about this place it's been around since the late '70s, sitting right there in Phoenix like a desert time capsule of fun. You got four roller coasters, including the Desert Storm, which sounds fun until you're on it reconsidering every life choice that led you there. Then there's the Patriot wooden, loud, and about as gentle as a bar fight. And somehow... SOMEHOW... we thought tequila beforehand was a good idea. So now we're buzzed, slightly baked against our will, and wandering this park like three philosophers who lost their notes. We're laughing at everything. Nothing's funny but everything's hilarious. A trash can? Comedy gold. A churro? Best thing I've ever eaten in my life. A child running past me? I'm emotionally invested in his journey. But I'll give credit where it's due the park itself? Clean. Staff's friendly. Nobody's judging three grown men giggling like idiots. It's got that old-school charm too arcades, mini golf, rides, the whole deal. You can bring a family here... or whatever version of a situation we were. Now the rides... oh, the rides. Let me tell you something nothing will make you rediscover fear like being slightly out of your mind on a roller coaster you thought you could handle. I got scared... not once... not twice... but a few times. The kind of scared where you start making promises to God you don't intend to keep. "I'll be a better man if I survive this drop..." Didn't mean a word of it. By the end of the night, we had the munchies, the laughs, and just enough dignity left to get back to the car without needing a group meeting. For a couple hours, though? We were kids again. No responsibilities. No stress. Just lights, noise, and pure, ridiculous fun. So yeah Castles N' Coasters might be a family amusement park... but under the right or completely wrong circumstances, it turns into one hell of a story. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Just... maybe crack a window on the way there.

Also, the Simpsons machine doesn't let you play Lisa. it picks Bart if you select Lisa's button. Another machine is Zoltar downstairs. He only talks, but does not spit out a souvenir ticket. That one actually did eat my dollar. I guess it made up for it because a couple people abandoned their games downstairs in the middle, so the bf and I played for "free". It was on someone else's dime, but I guess that counts, too. We got nachos and drinks from the snack bar. Service was quick. As with any family fun event center, food was a bit overpriced. The female bathroom was nasty. I don't know how often they clean them, but there was paper all over the stall floor. The faucets had a lot of buildup on them. Both the male and female restrooms smelled funky. I didn't play at the putt putt section, but one day I'll be back to do that. Overall, a good arcade/food experience. I'd recommend this place to people. I cannot comment on any of the rides/attractions besides the arcade.

The kids wanted to do that first so we walked straight to the bowling (right behind & in close proximity to the front desk). We had been told by the front desk gal we purchased from that the attendant manning the bowling area would get us set up, give us our balls, etc. We walked a few steps over there and it was obvious that employee could not help us as it appeared a lady had been hit in the face with a bowling ball or some other similar medical emergency. Understandably, the employee could not get us set up so we returned to the front desk to ask if that worker we had purchased bowling from could just hand us our balls. We figured since there were 4 lanes, maybe we could play in the one on the far left since incident occurred on the lane to the far right. We were told that we could not bowl (by another employee) due to the incident. We were told we would need to wait to play. I get it, but I wish we had been offered the option of a refund. No such offer. We decided then to go into the playground area, Ballocity, whilst waiting for this incident to clear. We were quite surprised to find that there were multiple buckets collecting water from a ceiling leak INSIDE THE PLAYGROUND AREA! This was completely unsanitary and poses multiple safety hazards (including, but not limited to, slipping and falling, kids playing in the disgusting water, etc.). To make matters worse, my youngest child advised me that there was tons of water on the ground up above in the top level of the play structure!!! Talk about unsafe. I climbed up there myself to validate what he had told me and sure enough it was correct. This entire play structure should be closed until this leaking water situation is corrected. Additionally, many of the games were out of order and not operational. The Sonic Basketball game would still take credits off of cards, but unfortunately, we soon realized that there are not even any balls in the game with which to play. Totally unfortunate. We did not even use all the credits we bought. We got out of there. I hope they are not going to go out of business soon. I am very concerned, from a business standpoint, that they may not be bringing in enough money to maintain their facility. PLEASE LOOK AT MY PHOTOS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE.

Reason for the three stars is the rest of the food was average, prices were high and both tables we sat at were super wobbly. I was wondering the reason for the name because at first I thought it was an arcade bar -- but they had no arcade games inside -- just a bar in the shape of a carousel -- or maybe it was an old carousel? It was pretty cool looking and the decor was pretty kitchy. Overall it was an average experience -- I would go back for the pickle bombs though!!

Extremely rude as we were waiting for that table. The hostess never got her manger or asked them to move, instead apologized to us and asked us to wait another 10 minutes for a table that was paying their bill. Not the way to handle that situation. We finally sit down and then order a bottle of champagne. Our server comes back a while later and tells us we're not allowed to order bottles of champagne unless it's during brunch, it does not say that anywhere on the menu! So we order glasses of champagne instead. Our server leaves and comes back a while later with only one half glass of champagne and said that's all we have left and we won't charge you for it, but we actually were charged for a full glass of champagne on our bill. We ordered the home made chips and salsa that took forever to arrive at our table. When they did it was basically a tray of chips. The chips were good, but where's the salsa? It came with two small 2 oz condiment cups of salsa. Normally you have to ask for more chips, here you don't get any salsa! When our server came back we asked her if we could put in an order for their flatbread pizza. She was honest and said it would be a very long time before it would come out if we're trying to make the concert on time, so she didn't recommend it. We appreciated her honestly, but how long does a cheese flatbread really take? Unfortunately we will not be returning to Carousel before or after any events we attend at Westgate.

It was my first time at a drive-in movie theater and I must say that it was a very neat experience!…read more It was set as a surprise actually and I didn't know where we were going until we got there. Partly too since I had fallen asleep on the way which made it even better when I woke up as we turned into the property. We arrived about 30 minutes before our designated show time (10:15p), had enough time to go through entry, get snacks, use the bathroom and park. The signs were mildly confusing so we landed on the wrong screen at first which. Luckily that was an easy correction. You just gotta know by the audio not matching the images. I liked the idea of tuning into an FM station for audio and being able to talk, or even be in a more private space to see the film. It was hard to see the darker scenes though, given some light pollution on nearby areas. That's to be expected for projectors anyways. I would love to be able to do this again soon.

What a Magical Evening. A huge and can't thank you enough…read morejust wouldn't be enough to Richard and his team here at West Wind. As this was our first time visiting and coming from out of town for a Birthday getaway. The birthday lady is every bit of deserving and wanted to do something super special for her. After by chance and luck being able to connect with Richard, he bent over backwards to make the night as special and magical as ever. We also got lucky and got to catch some live military training. The birthday lady is from Indiana so knows a good drive-in she says. This is one of if not her favorite drive-in spots and we will be returning. Thank you so much again Richard. We are forever grateful.
